Chapter 34: Ann’s Discomfort

Qin Qianyi stared intently at his father’s expression, noticing a subtle change.

He immediately asked, "Dad, did you think of something?"

Qin Haochen’s brows furrowed deeper, and he uttered four words filled with annoyance, "Go to school."

"Dad, it’s almost time for school to end..."

Qin Qianyi wailed, then gestured with his mouth as if zipping it up.

"Dad, I won’t ask anymore. Please don’t rush me to go to school. Let’s live in harmony and love each other, all right?"

Before Qin Haochen could respond to his words, he heard the sweet voice of Ann: "Yes!"

Qin Sui’an looked at her Sixth Brother, then at their father, and said in her adorable voice, "Family should love each other!"

Qin Qianyi chuckled and affectionately pinched her little cheek.

"Ann is right! Eldest Brother loves you so much!"

Qin Haochen glanced at him disdainfully but, for the sake of Ann, decided not to send him off to school.

"If you don’t get a perfect score on the next exam, don’t bother coming back to the Bay Villa."

Qin Qianyi patted his chest and assured, "No problem! A mere perfect score exam, can it be difficult for me?"

Although he appeared carefree, he excelled in academics compared to his peers.

He almost always secured the first position in every exam.

The reasons he didn’t always get the top spot were either because he fell asleep during the exam or skipped it entirely.

It’s worth emphasizing: that neither of these behaviors is encouraged.

Qin Yanyi silently listened to his father’s conversation with his Sixth Brother, feeling a bit confused.

But he wasn’t the type to obsess over understanding everything.

As long as it didn’t harm Ann and didn’t hurt her, it was enough.

He took out a clean white handkerchief and wiped away the remaining ointment on Ann’s little arm.

Worriedly, he advised, "Ann, if you feel uncomfortable anywhere, you must tell me, all right?"

"All...right..." Qin Sui’an cutely responded, nodding her little head.

The next moment, she truthfully said, "Second Brother, Ann feels uncomfortable."

Qin Haochen, Qin Yanyi, and Qin Qianyi, the father and three sons, simultaneously changed their expressions, anxiously looking at her.

They all asked in unison, "Where does Ann feel uncomfortable?!"

Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, blushing shyly, and softly said, "Ann wants to pee!"

Qin Haochen, Qin Yanyi, and Qin Qianyi fell into silence together.

It turned out to be the discomfort of needing to use the restroom.

Qin Haochen breathed a sigh of relief, then was amused by her shy expression.

He smiled and, carrying Ann, stood up, taking her to solve the problem that made her uncomfortable.

When Dad and little Ann walked away, Qin Qianyi approached his Second Brother.

"Second Brother, don’t you have any questions for me?"

He was still waiting to tease his Second Brother!

"I do have a question for you."

Qin Yanyi calmly glanced at him.

Qin Qianyi immediately showed an eager expression.

"What’s the question?"

Seeing his excitement, Qin Yanyi remained silent for a few seconds before asking, "Did you go and beat Zong Jianren today?"

"Of course, I did! Three punches!"

Qin Qianyi raised three fingers.

"One punch more or less doesn’t matter!"

Because his older brothers had made a daily appointment for three punches, Qin Qianyi considered it his morning exercise.

He only left for school after finishing it. Qin Yanyi was slightly surprised.

"The bodyguard didn’t come to me to check Zong Jianren’s injuries. Did you go easy on him?"

"Would I go easy on him?"

Qin Qianyi snorted lightly.

"I don’t want the bodyguard to trouble you. Isn’t it better if I save you the effort of treating him? Beating someone also requires skill. Otherwise, wouldn’t I be wasting my time as the boxing champion?"

Which spot hurts the most, which spot can hide the injury, and which spot won’t cause fatalities...

These are common knowledge in boxing.

The previous times he beat Zong Jianren, it was because he lost control of himself while being angry.

Qin Yanyi looked at him with satisfaction.

"Good, keep it up."

"All right!"

Qin Qianyi, seeing that his Second Brother had no more questions, felt a bit puzzled.

"Second Brother, you only wanted to ask me this question?"

"Yes." Qin Yanyi pretended not to understand his hidden meaning.

"What else did you want me to ask you?"

"Well... about Ann..."

Qin Qianyi hesitated, then waved his hand.

"Forget it, it’s better if fewer people know about this matter. I won’t say it."

Qin Yanyi patted his shoulder twice, looking very kind.

"Then don’t say it."

Qin Qianyi suddenly felt uneasy.

How did he end up being the one to tease his Second Brother instead of the other way around?

Qin Yanyi noticed the gloomy expression on his Sixth Brother’s face, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes.

His Sixth Brother is still too young.

Qin Sui’an’s small task for today hasn’t been finished yet, so he continues accompanying her daddy to work.

The meeting with the Bai Corporation was suddenly canceled, and Qin Haochen returned to his office to deal with the mountain of piled-up documents.

In the morning, Qin Sui’an was playing alone, but now with his second and Third Brothers, the three of them can play a small board game in the office’s lounge area.

Knowing they shouldn’t disturb their father’s work, the three of them instinctively lowered their voices and quietly played with the chess pieces.

From time to time, Qin Haochen would raise his gaze to check on the little girl of joy, and also to see if his two sons were bullying Ann.

It wasn’t until six o’clock in the evening that they left Qin Corporation and returned to their villa in the bay.

The big white goose had been with Qin Fujia all day, feeling as if it was about to transform into a fairy goose.

Sensing the imminent arrival of the human baby, it called out to Qin Fujia, "Ga ga!"

Qin Fujia sat on the sofa, silently reciting scriptures, while his hand slowly rotated the Buddhist beads between his fingers.

He looked at the big white goose and nodded, "Go ahead."

"Ga ga!"

The big white goose flapped its wings and eagerly ran towards the villa’s entrance.

Feathers of the goose floated in front of his eyes.

Qin Fujia remained calm, gently brushing away the falling feathers from his head, and continued reciting the scriptures.

It wasn’t until he heard the sound of a car engine outside that he stood up and walked towards the door.

The big white goose stood by the car, and as soon as the bodyguard opened the back door, it stretched its neck and peered inside, calling out, "Ga ga!"

"Big white goose!"

Qin Sui’an reached out her little hand and greeted it.

Qin Haochen carried Ann out of the car, then gently patted her small head, saying, "Go and play."

"Okay!"

Qin Sui’an happily pursed her lips and followed the big white goose to the garden.

Qin Haochen instructed the bodyguard to remind the kitchen to prepare dinner, then turned to see his eldest son, Qin Fujia, coming out and asked, "How is it going?"

Qin Fujia’s gaze shifted towards where little Ann was, a hint of a smile appearing in his eyes as he replied, "There are still two days left."

Qin Yanyi and Qin Qianyi got out of the car and heard their father and Eldest Brother’s inexplicable conversation.

They looked at each other, wondering, "What kind of riddle are Dad and Eldest Brother playing?"
