Chapter 48: The Unforgivable Villain

The old man immediately smiled ingratiatingly and said, "Ann, I was wrong in the morning. I shouldn’t have spoken out of turn. Please don’t be angry with me."

Qin Sui’an heard the voice of the old man coming from the left side and immediately turned her head to the right. "Hmph!"

"Ann, I’m sorry. It was my mistake."

The old man floated to the right side and sincerely apologized, "Ann’s grandfather will definitely live a long life, even longer than a hundred years!"

Upon hearing these words from the old man, Qin Sui’an managed to keep her small mouth from pouting too high.

She solemnly said, "Old man, you cannot speak ill of Ann’s family anymore, or else Ann will no longer pay attention to you."

"All right, all right, I won’t say it anymore. I absolutely won’t." The old man asked meekly, "Has Ann forgiven me?"

Qin Sui’an thought carefully and then nodded her little head, saying in a sweet voice, "Okay, Ann has forgiven you."

"Thank you, Ann!"

The old man instantly became so happy that he could float up to the ceiling.

This day had been so difficult for him.

He wanted to apologize to Ann, but there was always someone with strong spiritual energy around Ann, making him afraid to approach.

Now, he finally had the opportunity to talk to Ann. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Thinking of this, the old man suddenly made a "shh" sound, lowered his voice, and cautioned, "Ann, your Eldest Brother is sleeping outside. Don’t wake him up."

The bald young man with a shining head was the person he feared the most.

As soon as the bald young man appeared, he had to quickly slip away.

Qin Sui’an immediately covered her mouth with her small hand, afraid of waking up her Eldest Brother.

She crawled out of bed, tiptoed, bent over, and quietly walked out of the bedroom.

Sure enough, the old man didn’t deceive her. Her Eldest Brother was sleeping on the sofa.

Her Eldest Brother was so strange! He even slept while sitting!

Qin Sui’an looked for a while and then started tiptoeing, bending over, taking small steps, and leaving the room without even daring to breathe.

It was only after she walked out of the room that she could finally catch her breath.

The old man floated beside her and said excitedly, "Ann, what fun things do you have at your house? I’ll play with you!"

His voice was filled with excitement, as if he wanted Ann to accompany him, rather than him accompanying Ann.

Qin Sui’an seemed to have thought of something.

Her round eyes lit up, and she ran to the slide next to the stairs.

The old man shook his head disappointedly, "Ah, I can’t play with that." It wasn’t fun.

That was something only little kids liked to play with.

He was over a hundred years old, both in life and death and not interested in slides.

Qin Sui’an sat on the slide and slid down to the first floor.

She patted her little skirt and asked, "Then, what does the old man want to play?"

"Do you have chess or go or something like that?"

The old man complained, "The construction in the underworld needs improvement. They don’t even have chess pieces."

It had been a long time since he had satisfied his chess addiction.

Qin Sui’an tilted her head as if she had seen round chess pieces in the living room.

She walked into the living room and saw a chessboard on the table.

The old man exclaimed excitedly, "Ah, that’s it!"

"But Ann doesn’t know how to play." Qin Sui’an honestly shook her little head.

"It’s okay, I’ll teach you! It’s very easy!" The old man was enthusiastic.

Qin Sui’an obediently followed Grandfather’s instructions, setting up the chessboard and focusing on learning how to play.

She was intelligent and quickly grasped the rules and strategies after the old man explained them once.

Initially, the old man had intended to let her win a few rounds, but as the game progressed, his expression became serious.

His brows furrowed, and he refrained from joking or speaking with Qin Sui’an.

Deep in thought, he contemplated his next move.

The atmosphere in the living room was far from relaxed.

Both Qin Sui’an and the old man were fully absorbed, completely unaware that a figure had been standing outside the room for quite some time.

Qin Fujia positioned himself discreetly outside the living room, attentively listening to the sounds within.

In truth, he wasn’t asleep; he was simply engaged in tranquil meditation.

Observing that Qin Sui’an didn’t want to disturb him, Qin Fujia carefully pretended to still be "asleep".

Once she left the room, he quietly followed her downstairs.

As they reached the living room, Qin Fujia overheard Qin Sui’an speaking.

At first, he thought she was talking to herself, but upon closer listening, he realized she was engaged in a conversation with someone else.

Perhaps, it wasn’t a person. His expression filled with concern, fearing that something unclean might have come into contact with Qin Sui’an.

However, his spiritual cultivation had not yet reached a level where he could drive away impurities.

He remained silent, standing quietly outside the living room.

Suddenly, a "ga ga" sound came from the villa entrance.

The majestic big white goose strolled into the villa, completely unhindered.

It had calculated the time and believed that Qin Sui’an, the little cub, should have finished her nap and could now play with her.

As it turned a corner, it spotted Qin Fujia standing outside the living room and blinked its small, bead-like eyes.

Inside the living room, Qin Sui’an’s childish voice and the old man’s voice could be heard.

The big white goose gasped for breath, "Ga! He’s eavesdropping!"

It was about to loudly honk, warning Qin Sui’an that her Eldest Brother was eavesdropping outside.

In an instant, Qin Fujia, who had been standing at a considerable distance from the goose, suddenly appeared right in front of it.

He even grabbed its goose body and rudely pinched its beak, preventing it from making any sound.

Qin Fujia’s movements were swift and agile as he quickly silenced the goose.

Squinting his eyes slightly, he lowered his voice and warned, "You are not allowed to tell Qin Sui’an anything you have seen, otherwise, I won’t hesitate to break my vows and personally take a life, preparing a pot to stew a large goose."

The big white goose trembled in fear, clearly sensing the chilling murderous intent emanating from Qin Fujia.

It is suspected that before Qin Fujia became a monk, he must have been an unforgivable villain!

Qin Fujia then grabbed the big white goose and threw it out of the villa, commanding, "You are not allowed to step foot inside the villa until nightfall."

The terrified big white goose nodded its head vigorously, "Ga!"

It dared not defy Qin Fujia.

Flapping its wings, it ran towards the garden, filled with fear.

Once the big white goose had run far away, Qin Fujia quietly returned to his position outside the living room.

Meanwhile, a black Mercedes-Benz was steadily driving towards the Bay Villa.

In the backseat sat Bai Corporation’s CEO, Bai Binghua, and his son, Bai Zhou.

Qin Corporation had announced the termination of any cooperation with Bai Corporation, and in less than a day, Bai Corporation’s stocks had plummeted dramatically.

Overwhelmed by the pressure from the company and his family, Bai Binghua hurriedly brought his beloved son to the Bay Villa to apologize to Qin Corporation’s Chairman, Qin Sui’an.

He hoped that after this incident, Qin Corporation would be willing to collaborate with Bai Corporation once again.

Otherwise, Bai Corporation could face imminent bankruptcy.

Bai Zhou’s head was wrapped in bandages, resembling that of a mummy, with layers of gauze covering everything except his two eyes, two nostrils, and mouth.

Bai Binghua sighed, "Zhouzhou, you must be polite to Chairman Qin later. You can’t make her angry again."

"Dad, are you referring to Auntie?"

Bai Zhou struggled to turn his head and asked.

"Yes, your auntie. You must call her Auntie!"

Bai Binghua almost forgot and clapped his hands, "Calling her auntie is good. We’re all relatives! For the sake of family, that little girl shouldn’t refuse to give us face, right?"
