Chapter 86: A Freshly Delivered Lawyer’s Letter

Qin Fujia remained calm and composed as he spoke, "I have already sent it to Lvzheng. Let him handle it tomorrow."

A trillion-dollar compensation, merely the price for Shao Xinxin’s theft of a little apple.

The defamatory words spoken by the Shao couple against Ann were not forgotten by Qin Qianyi and even more so by Qin Fujia.

Their sister, naturally, could not be slandered and rumored about by anyone in just a few words.

If the Shao family wasn’t given a lesson, they were unworthy of being Ann’s Eldest Brothers.

Qin Huo’s expression turned serious.

He arrived late and seemed to have missed a lot.

From the brief conversation between his eldest grandson and youngest grandson, Qin Huo deduced that the matter of the recording was related to his granddaughter.

He said, "Fujia, send me the recording later."

Lan Jin looked at her granddaughter with affectionate eyes, a smile on her face, and spoke without room for disagreement, "Send me a copy as well."

Qin Fujia pondered for a few seconds, about to refuse, but heard his grandfather speak first: "Little Jin, what do you need this recording for? We can handle this matter ourselves."

If the recording required Lvzheng’s involvement, it certainly wasn’t something good.

Qin Huo didn’t want her to be upset and harm her health because of these troublesome matters.

Qin Fujia also thought the same, "Grandmother, please accompany Ann and play with her. We will handle these matters."

"Did I ask for your opinions?" Lan Jin turned her gaze towards the two of them, exuding an imposing spiritual energy without anger.

She was stating a fact.

Qin Huo didn’t dare to say another "no" word, awkwardly clearing his throat, " Fujia, remember to send us a copy as well."

Qin Fujia nodded helplessly, "All right."

Seeing the slightly tense atmosphere, Qin Qianyi quickly smiled and said, "Grandfather, Eldest Brother, what is there to worry about? Grandmother is in good health! Moreover, we still have Second Brother here. If there’s any discomfort, Second Brother can take care of it and cure it."

Qin Sui’an listened to everyone’s conversation, her round eyes earnestly observing them.

After a while, her worried gaze turned towards her grandmother, and in a nervous voice, she asked, "Grandmother, are you feeling unwell?"

Most of the reason for Lan Jin’s previous discomfort was due to her granddaughter’s disappearance.

Since there was no improvement at the Bay Villa, the cure for heartache required heart medicine.

Qin Yanyi suggested that his grandmother leave the Bay Villa and recuperate elsewhere.

Now that the "heart medicine" had returned home, Lan Jin’s mental state had visibly improved in the past few days, and soon she would regain her previous healthy body.

Hearing her granddaughter’s caring voice, Lan Jin’s smile deepened.

She shook her head repeatedly and said, "No, I am fine! Look, your grandfather needs a cane to walk, but I don’t!"

Qin Huo, who was being compared, appeared quite helpless. But he had nothing to say.

After all, she was speaking the truth. She indeed didn’t need a cane to walk.

After a few minutes, Qin Haochen finally descended the stairs at a leisurely pace.

He walked straight to Ann with joy, extending his hands and effortlessly lifting her from Qin Qianyi’s embrace.

Qin Sui’an adjusted herself comfortably in her daddy’s familiar embrace, blinked her round eyes, and asked, "Daddy, are you done with your work?"

Qin Haochen raised his lips and gently responded, "Okay, I’m done. Let’s go home."

Qin Qianyi looked upstairs and curiously asked, "Dad, how did the compensation matter end?"

Qin Haochen glanced at him, the tenderness he had shown to Ann a moment ago vanished, and he slightly furrowed his brows, "Why does a child like you ask so many questions?"

Qin Qianyi: ...He was still underage, strictly speaking, just a fourteen-year-old child.

The impact of a trillion-dollar compensation on the Shao family was considerable, to the extent that they didn’t even come downstairs to see the guests off.

The servants had no choice but to nervously send away the imposing Qin family members.

Returning to the Bay Villa, it was already past 9 p.m., nearing 10 p.m.

Qin Sui’an hadn’t been able to take a proper nap in the afternoon, and now she was drowsy, her round eyes struggling to stay open.

In the living room, Qin Qianyi volunteered to reattach the broken little apple necklace that Ann had snapped.

He squatted in front of the table, earnestly fiddling with the safety rope and the diamond little apple.

Qin Sui’an leaned against her grandmother’s embrace, trying hard to keep her round eyes wide open as she watched her Eldest Brother fix her necklace.

Qin Huo and Lan Jin returned home directly from F Country and have yet to properly rest.

However, their spirits remain high due to the presence of their granddaughter, and their gaze seldom strays from her.

Qin Haochen noticed that little Ann was growing tired, and with a silent smile, he gently coaxed, "Ann, it’s time to sleep. Tomorrow, you will see your perfectly intact little apple necklace."

"Okay." Qin Sui’an shook her little head, raised her tiny hand, and rubbed her eyes.

"Ann wants to wait until the little apple is fixed."

Qin Haochen couldn’t bear to refuse Ann. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

As he observed his youngest son’s unfamiliar movements, he wondered when the apple necklace would finally be repaired.

He sighed inwardly, regretting not stopping Qianyi from fixing the necklace earlier.

Qianyi felt an intense and piercing gaze upon him.

Without even turning around, he knew it came from his father.

"Ann, how about you close your eyes and rest for a while? When I’m done fixing it, I’ll wake you up," Qianyi cautiously asked, "Ann, is that all right?"

Qin Sui’an furrowed her small eyebrows, her expression serious as she pondered.

After a few seconds, she nodded her little head again.

"Then Ann will sleep for a little while!"

"Yes, go to sleep now," Qianyi breathed a sigh of relief.

Qin Haochen reached out and cradled Ann in his arms, adjusting her position, and gently patting her body.

"Sleep, Ann."

Lan Jin also whispered softly, "Sleep, sleep, don’t worry, my dear."

Qin Sui’an pursed her lips and revealed a sweet smile.

She closed her eyes and soon fell into a deep slumber.

Qin Huo fetched a small blanket and carefully covered his granddaughter, his movements incredibly light.

Qin Fujia descended from upstairs, holding another safety rope in his hand, which he handed to his Sixth Brother.

He whispered, "When the two ropes are intertwined, they become even stronger."

"All right," Qianyi replied, watching a tutorial video on his phone while hastening his pace to reattach the little apple necklace.

Five minutes later, the little apple necklace was finally completed.

He stood up, gently placed it around Ann’s neck, and silently exclaimed in his mind: mission accomplished!

Qin Haochen looked at the peacefully sleeping little girl in his arms, reluctant to disturb her slumber.

He carefully stood up, taking steady steps as he carried her upstairs.

As if sensing something, Qin Sui’an drowsily opened her eyes and murmured, "Daddy..."

Qin Haochen lowered his head and softly said, "Ann, your little apple necklace is fixed now. It’s already on your neck. Go back to sleep, Ann."

Upon hearing these words from Daddy, Qin Sui’an extended her little hand and touched her own neck, feeling the presence of the little apple.

She happily widened her round eyes and said, "Ann wants to thank Sixth Brother..."

As her words trailed off, Qin Sui’an closed her eyes again and fell back asleep.

Qin Haochen couldn’t help but suppress a smile, his eyes filled with affection.

He gently kissed her forehead and whispered, "Goodnight."

Deep into the night, peace settled over the Bay Villa, with everyone retiring to their rooms, leaving only the occasional movement of the bodyguards patrolling to ensure the villa’s safety.

Meanwhile, in the wee hours of the night, the Shao family received a lawyer’s letter sent urgently by Qin Lvzhengozheng, the third master of the Qin family.
