Pei Lanqing was an orphan, raised on the money his foster father earned from selling vegetables. In his first year of university, he found a tutoring job through a professor in his department.

The employer was a rich young lady named Lin Qianyuan. He thought their first meeting would be at the Lin family's villa, but it wasn't. Their first encounter was at Imperial Capital University.
