Xiao Yunyu stood up and was about to go into the house when he saw Doctor Wu rushing over with a medicine box on his back.
He nodded slightly to Doctor Wu, then walked into the room and sat down at the table.
On the way here, the servant had already told Doctor Wu about Xiao Yunyu's condition.
The doctor put down the medicine box and began to take Xiao Yunyu's pulse.
"My dear, according to your pulse, you are in good health and nothing serious is wrong."
Xiao Yunyu said with a gloomy expression: "But I still feel nauseous and want to vomit. Please take a closer look."
Upon hearing this, the doctor's expression became serious. He re-examined the patient and still shook his head, "Young Master is indeed healthy and there is nothing wrong with him. Perhaps he has been slightly unconcerned with his diet. The condition may resolve on its own in a couple of days."
"You smell so good," Xiao Yunyu, who had been looking listless, suddenly couldn't help but say.
Doctor Wu's eyebrows twitched.
However, Xiao Yunyu's eyes were slightly blurred, and he sighed with satisfaction: "I smell the fragrance on your body and feel very comfortable." As he said that, he took another deep breath greedily.
Doctor Wu's beard trembled with shock. He opened his lips, wanting to speak but stopping himself. His heart was filled with panic and confusion. He quickly clasped his fists and bowed, saying, "Young Master's condition is truly bizarre. Allow me to return and consider it carefully. With that, I'll take my leave!"
After saying that, he quickly packed up and left.
Doctor Wu has had many dealings with the Xiao family, especially Xiao Yunyu in recent years, who often called him for treatment when he was injured.
He was beaten so badly that his skin was torn and flesh was exposed, but he didn't even groan. He was definitely a tough guy with a strong body.
He suddenly felt sick today, and you still say he smells good?
He is an old doctor who has been surrounded by medicinal herbs all year round. The only smell on his body is the lingering herbal scent, and there is no other smell!
Seeing him leave in a hurry, Xiao Yunyu frowned irritably, sat back on the bed lazily, and felt a little sleepy, so he lay down with his clothes on without even taking off his outer robe.
In the study, Li Sisi sat on the wooden couch, her hands resting on the window sill, staring blankly at the lotus pond.
Thinking of what the old nanny had just said, my heart was filled with unbearable sourness.
She thought that Xiao Yunchen at least liked her a little bit.
"Hehehe..." She tilted her head back slightly, laughing at her own stupidity in a deep and hoarse voice, and her tears kept flowing uncontrollably.
Seeing her like this, Li Nian silently walked to the table, brought over a plate of cakes, and handed it to her: "Want to eat?"
Li Sisi's eyes were red from crying. She turned around and said with a heavy nasal voice, "Eat!"
Li Nian put the plate on the wooden couch and went to get a handkerchief. Seeing Li Sisi crying while eating, he sighed softly.
"Cry, and then we'll forget him."
"Woo-wah!" Li Sisi howled.
While eating with puffed cheeks, she cried incoherently: "Wuwu Xiao Yunchen, you bastard, you actually told that old witch that I was with you, wuwu..."
"He clearly knew that his mother would definitely punish me, but he just did it on purpose. Ugh, bastard, ugh..."
Seeing her crying loudly, Li Nian handed her the handkerchief in her hand.
Li Sisi took it naturally, wiped her nose, threw away the handkerchief and stuffed another piece of cake into the mouth, then ate: "I must be blind to like this rubbish guy, wuwu..."
Seeing that she could still eat, Li Nian knew that this time it was not that serious. She would probably be able to recover in ten days or half a month.
However, the Xiao family really couldn't stay there any longer.
She originally thought that the punishment would be kneeling in the ancestral hall and copying books, which she could endure.
She hadn't expected the Xiao family's rules to even include spanking? She couldn't tolerate this!
"Sisi," Li Nian grabbed Li Sisi's arm and said seriously, "We won't wait any longer. We'll go find a carriage tomorrow."
When Li Sisi heard her words, she stopped crying immediately: "Are you leaving tomorrow?"
"Yes," Li Nian stated her plan calmly. "You can take advantage of this quarrel with Madam Xiao and use the system's body to fake suicide. This way, your death will have a reason and others won't suspect anything."
"What about you?" Li Sisi looked at Li Nian in astonishment.
"I'm going to jump off a cliff and die for you," Li Nian said calmly, as if saying "I eat whatever you eat."
Li Sisi was shocked by her idea: "Isn't this a bit too cruel? The second daughter-in-law of the Xiao family was forced to commit suicide by her mother-in-law, and the eldest daughter-in-law committed suicide for the second daughter-in-law."
Just thinking about it, she couldn't bear to think about how the Xiao family could stay in the capital in the future? They would be ridiculed by the capital for generations!
Li Nian looked at her helplessly: "What else can we do? We can't just leave. If we do that, the Shen family, the Yun family, and the Xiao family will all catch us, and we won't be able to escape."
Li Sisi felt a little flustered and at a loss: "Think about it again and come up with a gentler solution."
She hated the Xiao family, but she wouldn't let this little emotion make the Xiao family live in unrest for generations!
"Bang!"
The door of the study was pushed open forcefully, and the old nanny who had just left walked in aggressively with several maids.
The two people who were plotting panicked, and Li Nian immediately got down from the wooden couch and stood in front of Li Sisi.
Her usually charming and soft face was now filled with an icy aura as she coldly questioned, "This is the eldest master's yard. Who allowed you to break in?"
"I let her!" Madam Xiao acted with the airs of a mistress, her eyes full of majesty. "Mrs. Yun, I asked the nanny to call for Mrs. Shen. Were you the one who stopped her from taking her away?"
Li Nian didn't respond directly to her words, but bowed respectfully and said, "We made a mistake today. My sister-in-law and I volunteer to copy "Women's Virtues" and "Women's Precepts" a thousand times each as punishment."
