Shen Qiqi pursed her lips, glanced at her eagerly waiting family, and said slowly: "Regarding the funding, I already have an idea in mind." She curled the corners of her mouth and revealed a confident smile, "For the last time, I will go to the town to sell goods. The funding gap of our library will definitely be filled!" Her tone was firm, with unquestionable strength, as if all difficulties were not worth mentioning in front of her.
The air in the room seemed to freeze for a moment, and then burst into warm cheers.
Old Mrs. Lu clapped Shen Qiqi's hands excitedly, and the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes stretched out like a blooming chrysanthemum.
"Good boy, good boy! Grandma supports you!"
Lu Qing looked at Shen Qiqi gently, his eyes full of admiration and love.
He held her hand, offering her silent support.
"Qiqi, no matter what decision you make, I support you." Shen Qiqi held Lu Qing's hand back, and a warm feeling surged in her heart.
With the support of her family, what else does she have to fear?
The early morning sun shines on the streets of the town, giving everything a golden glow.
Shen Qiqi and Lu Qing arrived in town early and set up their stall.
The dazzling array of handicrafts attracted the attention of many customers.
However, the good times did not last long.
Not long after, several colleagues also came to the town and set up stalls.
When they saw Shen Qiqi's business was booming, a hint of jealousy flashed in their eyes.
"Hey, isn't this the daughter-in-law of the Lu family? Why, are you here to sell goods again?" A sarcastic voice sounded.
Shen Qiqi looked up and saw that it was the town's famous "troublemaker" - Wang Pozi.
Mrs. Wang walked over to Shen Qiqi's stall, picked up a hand-woven basket, and said sarcastically, "This basket isn't very well woven, why is it so expensive?"
Another colleague also joined in: "That's right, the price is too outrageous! Our baskets are much better than hers, and they are half the price!" As they said this, they deliberately lowered the prices of their own products to attract customers' attention.
The customers around began to talk among themselves. Some hesitated whether to continue buying from Shen Qiqi's stall, while others were attracted by the low prices and went to other stalls.
Seeing this, Lu Qing was furious and was about to step forward to argue, but was stopped by Shen Qiqi.
"Don't be impulsive." Shen Qiqi said calmly, a gleam in her eyes, "The fun has just begun." She turned to look at Mrs. Wang, a meaningful smile on her lips, "Aunt Wang, business can't be done with just words..."
The number of customers in front of Shen Qiqi's stall was decreasing, and they quickly dispersed like the tide, leaving only an empty stall and increasing pressure.
She bit her lower lip, frowned, and anxiety spread across her face like vines.
Old Mrs. Lu and her daughter stood aside, looking at the bleak scene, and their hearts ached.
The daughter's little hand tightly grasped the corner of her grandmother's clothes, looking at Shen Qiqi worriedly.
"Mom, why don't we go back?" Old Mrs. Lu advised with concern, a hint of helplessness in her tone.
At this moment, Shen Qiqi took a deep breath, "Grandma, my daughter, don't worry, let's try a different way!" She raised a confident smile, as if she had come up with some brilliant idea.
I saw Shen Qiqi rearrange the goods on the stall, clearing a space, and then took out some handmade materials, such as colorful cloth strips, beads, wooden blocks, and so on.
She cleared her throat and shouted, "Don't miss this if you're passing by! Today we're not only selling finished products, but we're also teaching you how to DIY! If you want to learn how to make crafts, come on over!"
This sudden change made the originally deserted stall instantly lively.
Customers stopped and gathered around curiously.
"DIY? You can do it yourself?" "This is so new!" "How much does it cost to learn?"
Shen Qiqi greeted customers enthusiastically, patiently explained the production steps, and taught them how to operate step by step.
For a moment, the stall was filled with laughter and customers were enthusiastically experiencing the fun of handmade crafts.
Seeing that Shen Qiqi's stall was crowded again, Wang Pozi and other colleagues were dumbfounded.
They never thought that Shen Qiqi would come up with such a trick.
"This...how is this possible?" Mrs. Wang widened her eyes in disbelief. Seeing fewer and fewer customers in front of her stall, she felt anxious and angry.
"Hmph, a mere trifle!" another colleague said sourly, "I wonder how long she can hold out!"
Seeing the stall filled with small gadgets made by customers, Shen Qiqi showed a satisfied smile on her face.
She took a small, crudely made doll from a customer and stroked it gently. "Can this... can it be sold for money?" the customer asked nervously.
Shen Qiqi smiled mysteriously: "Of course! And..." She paused deliberately, looked around, and said in a low voice, "It can be sold at a good price!" Shen Qiqi blinked mysteriously: "Want to know how to sell it? Then follow me!" She led the customers to the busiest square in the town, found a conspicuous place, spread out a piece of red cloth, and placed the little gadgets made by the customers one by one.
"Dear fellow villagers! Take a look! This is a unique handmade product, don't miss it if you pass by!" Shen Qiqi shouted at the top of her voice, and the square was immediately crowded with people, who gathered around.
"Oh, this little doll is so cute. How much is it?" An aunt picked up a crooked little doll and asked with a smile.
