The next morning, a thin mist covered the small mountain village, and the air was filled with the fragrance of earth.
Shen Qiqi stood under the old locust tree at the entrance of the village, her brows slightly furrowed, her slender fingers tapping her chin again and again, as if she was thinking about some world-class problem.
She was wearing a blue shirt that had faded from washing today, but it couldn't hide her cleverness.
Lu Qing stood silently beside her, his tall figure like a mountain, shielding her from the cool morning breeze.
He looked at Shen Qiqi who was thinking seriously. At this moment, silence was better than words, and there was an atmosphere of peace and tranquility between the two of them.

The corner of Shen Qiqi's mouth twitched. Her favorite thing when she was a child was the slingshot, okay?

She resisted the urge to complain and pulled Mrs. Lu back home.
In the family account book, there are a few more eye-catching numbers in the expenditure column.
Shen Qiqi stared at the numbers and felt her blood pressure soar.
She began to calculate rapidly, and every extra expense was like a needle pricking her tense nerves.
