Chapter 76: Dawn of Hope in the Education Bureau

The town’s Education Bureau is a gray two-story building that looks particularly solemn in the night.

Shen Qiqi stood downstairs, looking at the closed door, her heart beating like a rabbit.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves.

Lu Qing noticed her uneasiness, patted her shoulder gently and gave her an encouraging look.

"It's okay, Qiqi, relax." His deep voice seemed to carry some kind of magic, instantly calming the waves in her heart.

When I pushed open the door of the Education Bureau office, a strong smell of ink hit me in the face.

Official Li sat upright, holding Shen Qiqi's education plan in his hand, his brows furrowed, with an expression that said, "What are you doing again, kid?"

"This plan is full of loopholes!" He slammed the plan on the table, his tone full of doubt.

Shen Qiqi's heart sank suddenly, and a chill ran from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.

She suppressed her anxiety and patiently explained every detail and every data of the plan.

She knew that this "battle" had just begun.

The atmosphere in the office was depressing, and the air seemed to be frozen.

Officer Li interrupted her from time to time, throwing out a series of sharp questions, like a string of cannonballs, bombarding Shen Qiqi so much that she could hardly stand it.

She felt like a little white rabbit that had strayed into a tiger's den and could be eaten up at any time.

"Your plan is too idealistic! It's totally unrealistic!" Official Li slammed the plan heavily on the table, with a hint of disdain in his tone.

"Who do you think you are? Want to change the current educational situation in the entire town? That's simply a foolish dream!" He glanced at Shen Qiqi with contempt, his eyes full of ridicule.

Shen Qiqi took a deep breath and tried hard to control her emotions.

She knew that she must not retreat at this time, let alone be angered by him.

She smiled slightly, her eyes gleaming with confidence. "Officer Li, I've already considered all the issues you've raised..." She paused and pulled out a thick stack of documents from her bag. "This is..."

Shen Qiqi calmly spread out the information. It was a detailed social survey report, densely recording the real educational needs of children from families in the town, as well as parents' feedback on the existing education system.

The data is so detailed that it is astonishing, and so meticulous that it even includes every child's dream.

Official Li originally had an expression that said, "I've reviewed countless papers, your little trick is nothing compared to that." However, after seeing the data, his brows slightly frowned, and his eyes almost popped out, as if he had seen something incredible.

Several clerks who were working hard around could not help but peek in and look around curiously, and there was a subtle sense of surprise in the air.

"This...this...how did you get this data?" Officer Li's tone was no longer as condescending as before, but with a hint of disbelief and inquiry.

Shen Qiqi smiled faintly, like a peerless master who had hidden his achievements and fame. "Official Li, this is all obtained by my husband and I, visiting and investigating every household. It's honest! This is not a trivial matter, but a matter that truly concerns the future of our children!"

Official Li returned to his previous official tone. He rubbed his swollen temples, looking as if he didn't want to waste any more words. "Well, I understand the principle, but the procedures are cumbersome. Once it's approved, I guess it will be too late." He waved his hand perfunctorily, as if he was chasing away a fly.

"Officer Li, what you said is wrong!" Shen Qiqi suddenly raised her voice, and her crisp voice carried an unquestionable firmness, instantly making the entire office quiet.

"Just because the procedures are so cumbersome, should we let our children continue to struggle in an outdated education system? Time waits for no one! If we delay any longer, our children will be left behind by the times!"

Lu Qing stood behind Shen Qiqi, his eyes sharp as torches. He knew that his wife was about to start using her big moves!

Officer Li's face darkened. He felt an unprecedented pressure. This young wife was something special!

He muttered secretly in his heart, but still refused to speak, "Oh, it's not that I don't want to help you, it's really..."

Shen Qiqi's eyes glared, and her tone became even more forceful. "Officer Li, I know you're very busy, but this matter concerns the future of the entire town and the lives of these children! This education program, if successful, will..."

Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by Officer Li who suddenly stood up.

Officer Li stared straight at Shen Qiqi, with an elusive expression on his face. He muttered to himself: "This woman, what on earth does she want to say..."

Shen Qiqi paused, her eyes firm, her tone resounding: "Official Li, if this education plan succeeds, it will become a pioneer in education reform for the entire region! It will provide valuable experience for other regions and may even affect the development of education in the entire country! When that happens, our town will be a role model for the entire country!" Her words were like a bomb, exploding in Official Li's mind.

His originally cloudy eyes gradually brightened, as if he saw a whole new world.

He began to re-examine the plan in his hand, flipping through it page by page, as if looking for some treasure.

Seeing that Li's attitude had softened, Shen Qiqi pressed the issue, continuing, "Furthermore, Li, did you know that many renowned education experts across the country are advocating this kind of educational philosophy? Famous professors like Professor X and Professor Y have all expressed high praise for similar plans! This isn't just my own idea; it's in line with the current of the times and the general trend of national development!"
