In the dim light of the kitchen, the four of them looked at each other, and the air was filled with a thick atmosphere of awkwardness.
Lu Xing and Xu Jing wished they could find a hole in the ground to crawl into, especially Lu Xing. He hesitated for a long time and finally managed to utter, "Well... you guys continue, we... we'll leave first." After that, he pulled Xu Jing out of the kitchen as if escaping.
Lu Qing looked at the two people fleeing in panic, sighed helplessly, and turned to look at Shen Qiqi: "They... are probably sleepwalking."

"Yeah." Shen Qiqi responded softly, still not looking at him.
Lu Qing felt a little frustrated. He felt like a transparent person in front of her, and she seemed to have no interest in him at all.
"The day after tomorrow... let's go to the county town." Lu Qing said tentatively.
Shen Qiqi then turned her head and looked at him, a glint in her eyes: "Going to the county town? What for?"
"I want to buy you something." Lu Qing said, "I heard that there's a cloth shop in the county town that has a lot of beautiful fabrics. I want to make you some new clothes."
The corners of Shen Qiqi's mouth rose slightly, revealing a faint smile: "Okay."
Lu Qing's heartbeat suddenly accelerated and he felt his face getting hot.
"Ahem..." He cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment, "Then... I'm going to bed first."
"Yeah." Shen Qiqi returned to her previous silence and continued to look at the flames.
Lu Qing stood up, turned around and prepared to leave, but couldn't help but look back at her.
She still squatted there, motionless, like a sculpture.
The dim light reflected on her delicate profile, making her look particularly charming.
Lu Qing suddenly felt that she was more attractive like this than her usual lively and cheerful self.
He walked to the door, stopped, and said softly: "You... go to bed early."
Shen Qiqi didn't respond, but just nodded slightly.
Lu Qing left the kitchen and closed the door gently.
He leaned against the door, took a deep breath, and felt his heart beating fast.
In the kitchen, Shen Qiqi was still squatting there, looking at the jumping flames, with a sly smile on the corner of her mouth.
"Third brother..." she murmured softly, "Shouldn't this address be changed?"
Amid the crackling sound of the flames in the stove, Shen Qiqi suddenly said, "Third brother, isn't it time to change the name?"
Lu Qing's face suddenly turned red, like the charcoal in the stove.
He avoided her gaze and stammered, "W-what? This, this is not good..." But he was secretly thinking in his heart: This little girl is so brave!
Shen Qiqi raised her eyebrows, a sly look flashing in her eyes: "Why not? They are already an old couple, and they are still the third brother and his wife. How strange it is."
Lu Qing panicked even more and quickly changed the subject: "Um...I have prepared everything for the return visit. See if there is anything else you need."
"Go back home?" Shen Qiqi curled her lips, "Go back to what home? I don't want to buy things for that pair of vampires."
Lu Qing was stunned: "But... this is the rule..."
"Rules are dead, but people are alive." Shen Qiqi interrupted him, "You can go back, but I won't pay a penny for the things. However, it's a good idea to go shopping in the county town."
Lu Qing breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, this little girl was not completely unreasonable.
"Going to the county town? I also need to go there to hand over some things."
"Oh?" Shen Qiqi became interested. "What is that? It's so mysterious."
"Some local specialties," Lu Qing said vaguely, "I brought them for a friend."
Shen Qiqi narrowed her eyes, obviously not believing his nonsense, but did not continue to ask.
She stretched and said, "Is the water ready? I'm going to take a shower."
Lu Qing quickly stood up and frantically picked up the bucket: "I, I'll go pour some water..."
"Wait," Shen Qiqi called him, "Go outside for a while."

Shen Qiqi looked at his back and couldn't help laughing.
"What a pure little virgin..." She muttered to herself as she unbuttoned her clothes.
Outside the house, Lu Qing leaned against the wall, listening to the sound of water coming from the kitchen, feeling very confused.
Shen Qiqi hummed an unknown little tune as she finished her shower, changed into clean clothes, and walked out refreshed.
Lu Qing immediately went in and took a quick shower.
When he came out, Shen Qiqi was already lying on the bed, covered with a quilt, with only a small head exposed.
They both turned off the lights, the room was pitch black, and they could only hear each other's breathing.
The atmosphere was eerily quiet, and the air was filled with an indescribable ambiguous feeling.
