Lu Qing tried hard to recall, "Qiqi, wait a minute, let me think about it..." He frowned, paced back and forth, and muttered to himself, "This thing... looks familiar..." Shen Qiqi looked at his anxious look and couldn't help but chuckled, "Brother Qing, don't be anxious, think about it slowly." Lu Qing suddenly stopped and slapped his thigh, "I remember it! It seems... Wang the blacksmith in the village might have it!"
Shen Qiqi's eyes lit up and she grabbed Lu Qing's arm, "Really? That's great! Let's go find him!" She ran towards Blacksmith Wang's house like a gust of wind, pulling Lu Qing with her.
Lu Qing smiled helplessly and let her pull him, but his heart felt as sweet as if it were filled with honey.
This little girl is so impetuous and cute.
Blacksmith Wang's house is at the east end of the village, a low thatched house with various farm tools and ironware placed in front of the house, and the sound of clanging and knocking can be heard constantly.
When Shen Qiqi and Lu Qing arrived, Blacksmith Wang was sweating profusely as he forged a sickle.
"Uncle Wang!" Shen Qiqi called out crisply.
Blacksmith Wang raised his head, a simple smile on his dark face, "Oh, it's Qiqi and Qingzi, what's going on?" Shen Qiqi quickly took out the blueprint and pointed at the special tools on it, "Uncle Wang, take a look, can you do this?"
Blacksmith Wang took the blueprint, squinted his eyes and looked at it carefully for a long time, then turned it over and over again, and finally shook his head, "This...this thing, I really haven't seen it before, and I don't know how to make it..." He handed the blueprint back to Shen Qiqi helplessly and sighed, "Qiqi, it's not that uncle doesn't want to help you, it's just that this thing is too rare, uncle has never seen it, nor has he heard of it..."
Shen Qiqi took the drawing and felt a little disappointed.
The atmosphere in the blacksmith shop suddenly became dull, with only the crackling of the fire and the wheezing of the bellows.
Lu Qing patted Shen Qiqi's shoulder and comforted her: "Qiqi, don't be discouraged, let's think of other ways."
Shen Qiqi forced a smile, "This is the only way..." She looked up at the gradually darkening sky, and suddenly an inexplicable uneasiness surged in her heart.
At this time, Wang the Blacksmith seemed to have remembered something and said, "By the way, there seems to be an abandoned warehouse in the village with some old items piled up in it. Maybe..." Before he finished speaking, Shen Qiqi interrupted him, "Warehouse? Where is it?"
Blacksmith Wang's words seemed to light the flame in Shen Qiqi's heart, and her eyes lit up instantly, as if she had found a ray of light in the darkness.
She grabbed the blacksmith Wang's hand and asked anxiously, "Uncle Wang, where is the warehouse? Take us there quickly!"
Blacksmith Wang was amused by her eagerness and nodded with a smile, "Okay, follow me." He put down the sickle in his hand and led Shen Qiqi and Lu Qing to the other end of the village.
The warehouse is located at the easternmost end of the village, in a courtyard surrounded by a dilapidated earthen wall, with a rusty lock hanging on the gate.
Blacksmith Wang took out an iron key from his waist and opened the lock with a click.
The door creaked open, and the smell of old dust filled the air. Shen Qiqi and Lu Qing couldn't help but sneeze.
The warehouse was filled with all kinds of old things, including broken farm tools, rusty ironware, and even some incomprehensible mechanical parts.
Shen Qiqi's eyes quickly swept through these objects, and suddenly, her eyes lit up when she saw some special-looking metal parts piled up in a corner.
"Brother Qing, come and see!" Shen Qiqi shouted excitedly and walked quickly towards the parts.
Lu Qing followed her closely, and seeing her excitement, he also became excited.
Shen Qiqi squatted down and looked through the parts carefully. Some of them were already rusted, but their shapes and structures could still be seen.
She picked up a part that looked like a gear and looked at it carefully.
"Uncle Wang, are these parts usable?" Shen Qiqi asked excitedly, holding the gear tightly in her hand.
Blacksmith Wang came over, looked at the parts, and nodded. "Some of them are still usable, but it will probably take some effort to modify them into the tools you need."
Shen Qiqi nodded, a determined light flashing in her eyes, "As long as there is hope, we can definitely do it!" She stood up and looked at Lu Qing with a smile, "Brother Qing, let's take these parts and ask Uncle Wang for help with the modification."
Lu Qing smiled gently and held Shen Qiqi's hand tightly, "Qiqi, with you here, there is no problem that cannot be solved." His
Shen Qiqi took a deep breath and looked at Wang the blacksmith with a firm gaze, "Uncle Wang, thank you for your help. We will take these parts to your shop and see if the modification can be successful." As soon as she finished speaking, she pulled Lu Qing out, her steps firm and confident.
Shen Qiqi pulled Lu Qing and trotted back to Wang the blacksmith's shop, dumping the parts they had picked up on the ground with a "clatter".
The parts clanged like a pile of scrap metal, standing out in the dim light.
Blacksmith Wang frowned at the pile of junk before him, his dark face filled with embarrassment. "This... Qiqi, I'm telling you, these things give me a headache just looking at them. Turning them into the special tools you mentioned is incredibly difficult!"
Shen Qiqi didn't buy his trick. She put her hands on her hips and started to refute, "Uncle Wang, how can you back down before you even start? This is a big deal that concerns the irrigation of our entire village! Aren't you the best blacksmith in the village? This little difficulty won't bother you!" She was like a little hot pepper, and there was a hint of unquestionableness in her tone.
