When they arrived at the family compound, Gu Yanli originally wanted to carry the person upstairs, but just as he held the person in his arms, Wen Tang dazedly hung around his neck and opened his eyes to look at him. Then Wen Tang rubbed his eyes and said, "We're at the family compound now?"
"Um!"
"Then put me down!"
“It’s not good for people to see.”
"There aren't many people here..." As he was speaking, two figures seemed to be walking towards him from a distance. Gu Yanli put the people down, took a package from the back seat, and then led them upstairs.
Wen Tang was still looking out of the window when we reached the stairs. "What are you holding in your hand?"
"Oh, your clothes. I thought you weren't coming back to stay that night, so I brought you a change of clothes."
After hearing this, Wen Tang immediately hugged him and said, "With a husband like this, what else could a wife ask for!"
"Baby, you are my good baby," Wen Tang buried his face in Gu Yanli's chest, rubbing it again and again.
Gu Yanli stood there obediently, not moving at all, his back straight.
After teasing the girl, Wen Tang went upstairs to wash up, then fell asleep on the bed.
Even though Gu Yanli only took a bath for three minutes.
"Wen Tang, Wen Tang," Gu Yanli called out softly twice. Wen Tang didn't show any intention of paying attention to him, so Gu Yanli bent down and kissed her on the forehead, then turned off the lights, lay down on the bed, hugged her and fell asleep.
The next morning, Wang Xiaohui took half a day off as she also wanted to go to the hospital to visit Chi Yue.
I didn't go with Wen Tang and the others yesterday afternoon because I considered that she was not a family member but an outsider, and it was inappropriate to visit someone in the hospital in the afternoon.
Wang Xiaohui bought two canned foods and two bags of brown sugar, left Qiuqiu at the factory under the care of Zhong Meixian, and went to the hospital.
When she arrived, Gu Jinfeng had delivered breakfast and had not returned yet. She was busy washing diapers and Chi Yue's dirty clothes.
Chi Yue had just fed the baby, and Lin Jingshen was holding the baby and burping him.
Wang Xiaohui came in carrying something and saw Lin Jingshen walking around with the child in his arms. She came in with a smile and said, "Brother Jingshen, where is Sister Xiaoyue?"
After she finished speaking, Wang Xiaohui saw Chi Yue half lying on the hospital bed.
"Sister Xiaoyue!"
Chi Yue smiled and said, "Xiao Hui!"
"Um!"
"sit!"
Wang Xiaohui placed the things she bought on Chi Yue's bedside and said embarrassedly, "I don't know what to buy."
Chi Yue said with a look of annoyance, "He's not someone else, and you're wasting money on buying so many things."
As they were talking, Gu Jinfeng came out after washing her things. Seeing Wang Xiaohui, she asked, "Xiaohui, when did you come?"
"Aunt, I just arrived!"
Then Gu Jinfeng saw what Wang Xiaohui bought and scolded her, "You kid, you came here just for fun, why are you buying things?"
Wang Xiaohui still looked embarrassed. "I didn't buy anything special. Just don't be disgusted."
"That's what I said, I don't mind, I don't mind."
Gu Jinfeng hung up the things and said, "Xiaohui, please sit down."
"Where's Qiuqiu?"
"I asked grandma to help me watch it."
Wang Xiaohui sat down beside the bed and tucked the corner of Chi Yue's quilt. Then she started to care about Chi Yue, "Sister Xiaoyue, how are you feeling?"
“Everything is fine!”
"Is there enough milk?"
"good!"
After a few more pleasantries, Wang Xiaohui got up to look at the child.
When looking at the child, they would say some complimenting words, saying that the child is good-looking, beautiful, and looks like Jia Jia.
As she spoke, Wang Xiaohui quickly took out money from her pocket and put it into the baby's swaddling clothes.
Gu Jinfeng immediately tried to stop her, but Wang Xiaohui held her hand and said, "Aunt, we are not strangers. This is just a small token of my appreciation. If you think it is too little, then don't accept it."
After these words were spoken, Gu Jinfeng was at a loss for words.
Wang Xiaohui smiled and said, "Sister Xiaoyue, you take a rest. I'll go back first. Qiuqiu is still with grandma, so I'll go back and take a look."
Chi Yue nodded, her eyes fell on the cans and brown sugar on the bedside, and said, "Take the cans and brown sugar with you!"
Gu Jinfeng hurried to get the brown sugar and canned food, but Wang Xiaohui just said, "No," and ran away.
When Gu Jinfeng ran out with her things, she was no longer visible outside.
Gu Jinfeng brought the things back and said, "This child is really thoughtful. I gave him money and he bought so many things!"
"It's not easy for them, mother and daughter."
Having said that, Gu Jinfeng still said to Chi Yue, "Xiaoyue, I'll boil two pieces of this canned food for you to eat!"
After Chi Yue finished her breakfast, her mouth did taste a bit bland, so she nodded.
After eating the canned food, Gu Jinfeng packed up and went back.
Before leaving, he did not forget to tell Lin Jingshen, "You can boil this can of food for Xiaoyue if you have nothing to do this afternoon."
"And this brown sugar. If Xiaoyue is thirsty, just drink it..."
"I don't like brown sugar, Mom, please take the brown sugar back!"
Before Gu Jinfeng could speak, Chi Yue said, "It's taking up space here."
"Then I'll take a pack back!"
"Take both bags!"
"Leave one pack for you to drink!"
Chi Yue shook her head. "I'll be discharged in one more day at most. There's no need."
"Then...then I'll take it back first."
Gu Jinfeng went back, and it was Wen Tang who came to deliver lunch at noon.
When no one was around, Chi Yue would close her eyes and rest, not talking to Lin Jingshen.
Lin Jingshen thought she was asleep.
But she opened her eyes as soon as Wen Tang arrived.
Seeing that it was Wen Tang, Chi Yue asked, "Why are you here?"
"It's not lunch break, and I have nothing to do, so I thought I'd come see you."
Wen Tang said as he started to set the table.
Chi Yue knew who cooked the dish as soon as she saw it.
