Chapter 5: Marry this prince and be happy

After one stick of incense.

Feng family ancestral hall.

"Miss, Miss."

Sang Luan pounded her aching knee out of boredom. When she heard the sound, her eyes suddenly lit up.

She looked in the direction of the sound.

A woman in green clothes poked half her head out of the door, her palm-sized face full of worry. She took two steps forward, took Sang Luan's hand, and looked her up and down. "Miss, are you okay?"

"Hurry, hurry, hurry." Sang Luan shook her head and immediately crossed her legs together, asking anxiously, "Is everything ready?"

Yupo was the original owner's personal maid. She entered the Shangshu Mansion at a very young age and has been with the original owner ever since.

Due to the mischief of the original owner, when Bai Yueguang appeared, Feng Heng's design destroyed the Shangshu Mansion overnight, and this girl even wanted to die for the original owner.

But everyone underestimated Feng Hengzhi's cruelty. Even a white pigeon passing by the Shangshu Mansion would be shot down by him and stripped of its feathers.

Yupo was tortured with 拟 (torture) and then beaten to death with sticks.

"They've all gone to bed." Yupo reached out and pulled out a stack of papers from her bosom. She then carefully placed them on the ground, smoothing them out with her hand. "Thank goodness, young lady, you had the foresight to copy down a lot of these Three Obediences and Four Virtues early on."

"Thank you for your hard work." Sang Luan picked it up and took a look, very satisfied. "The handwriting is becoming more and more similar to mine."

Ever since the first time Liu Wenxian punished her to kneel in the ancestral hall and asked her to always keep in mind the Three Obediences and Four Virtues of a Woman, she had asked Yu A to copy them whenever she had free time.

Yu Apo has been with her for so long that imitating her handwriting has become a common thing for her. Most people can't tell the difference at all.

Yupo smiled sheepishly, "It's all thanks to the young lady's good teaching."

After making sure that there were no problems with the Three Obediences and Four Virtues after reciting them a hundred times, Sang Luan put the written words into her arms and took out some blank papers and placed them in front of her.

Looking at the half-written mark on it, Sang Luan clapped her hands in satisfaction.

Sang Luan tutted, and Yupo immediately trotted forward, took out a quilt from a secret compartment in front, and spread it in the corner. "Miss, please eat something and then rest. I will kneel for you."

"It's not too late to kneel after the hour of midnight." Sang Luan patted Yupo's shoulder, then took out a pile of food from his sleeve and placed it on the ground, his eyes brightening a lot.

She clasped her hands together and bowed towards the tablet above, muttering, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you guys play yours and I eat mine, let's not interfere with each other."

Meng Youning leaned aside with her eyes half closed, holding a square handkerchief in her hand. She moved the handkerchief to her lips and coughed lightly.

His face turned visibly pale.

Qi Ran quickly covered his mouth with his hand and moved to the side, his eyes almost filled with disgust. "What disease do you have? Please don't infect me."

As he spoke, he stretched his legs a little and glanced at Meng Youning.

Meng Youning took a deep breath, slowly opened his eyes, and touched his heart with his hand.

She stared straight ahead, picked up the teacup and took a sip, and immediately felt much better.

She is weak and cannot drink much tea, so she always has hot water with her.

Meng Youning glanced at the smug Qi Ran, his expression indifferent, "The prince can choose not to ride in the same sedan chair with me."

"Today, I only have one sedan chair to find you." Qi Ran frowned. "You let me get off. Do you want me to walk back to the mansion?"

Meng Youning remained silent, turned her head to the side, and didn't want to pay any attention to him at all.

"I'm telling you." Qi Ran leaned forward, his voice sinking slightly, "I will never fall for a woman like you."

There is no woman in this world who can compare to Sister Ling. She has a kind heart and excellent medical skills.

Although I was down and out, I never complained about anything.

Only a woman like this is worthy of Qi Ran's existence.

"What a coincidence." Meng Youning didn't even turn her head, her eyes full of coldness, "I don't like men like you either."

She curled her lips and muttered softly, "It's really bad luck to meet you."

"What did you say?" Qi Ran half-closed his eyes, then paused. Suddenly, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, as if he had thought of something. "Impossible."

"You're lying!" Qi Ran pointed at Meng Youning with a look that saw through everything. "I'm the Crown Prince. Not only am I a royal relative, but I'm also incredibly wealthy. There are so many women who want to marry into the Crown Prince's mansion, but none of them have the blessing."

He paused, then continued, "This overwhelming wealth has landed on your head so clearly, and you're not secretly happy? You still look down on me?"

Meng Youning was silent for a moment, and decisively chose to continue closing his eyes and resting.

Why didn't she remember that Qi Ran in the original book was so shameless?

Seeing that Meng Youning didn't say anything, Qi Ran immediately supported himself and moved his hand towards her, then reached out and gently poked Meng Youning's arm.

Meng Youning exhaled a breath of foul air, suppressed his thoughts, turned around, and said, "What are you doing?"

"Do you have a grudge against the young lady Feng Hengzhi just married?"

"Next time, hit her harder and hit her in the face. Don't worry, I'll support you."

"But speaking of which, what is your grudge? Can you tell me about it?"

Meng Youning raised her eyes and watched Qi Ran's mouth opening and closing. Suddenly, she heard Sang Luan's name, and her expression softened a lot.

"Look, look!" Qi Ran suddenly stepped back and pointed at Meng Youning, "You're still being stubborn and saying you look down on me."

Meng Youning turned her head and rubbed her eyebrows with her hand.

When Meng Youning felt that the sedan chair, which had been shaking a little, suddenly stopped steadily, she knew that they had arrived at the mansion.

The next moment, the servant beside him lifted the curtain of the sedan chair. Meng Youning raised her eyes, picked up her clothes, and got out of the sedan chair in a flash.

In the Prince's Mansion.

Qi Ran followed Meng Youning and walked into the mansion slowly.

Both sides of the mansion, from the entrance to the main hall, were filled with people.

Qi Ran instantly restrained his expression, paused, and had a bad feeling in his heart.

"Get down on your knees, you bastard!"

Sure enough, a deep and angry voice came from the front.

Qi Ran looked carefully and wondered who else could it be but his bad-tempered father?

"Plop"

Qi Ran knelt down obediently.

Meng Youning covered her mouth and coughed lightly a few times. The maid beside her came forward to support her, walked to a seat on the side, and sat down.

Qi Ran stretched out his hand and sighed twice, his pupils dilated slightly. Why doesn't this woman have to kneel?

Qi Ran: "Don't cough yourself to death."

"You bastard!" Qi Shangqing glared at him, picked up the stick he had prepared long ago, and rushed over. "If you can't speak, then shut up."

The stick was as thick as half a fist. Qi Ran watched the stick getting closer and closer to him and jumped up instantly.

The whole person rushed straight to Meng Youning.

Qi Ran took advantage of the situation and grabbed Meng Youning's arm, pulled her up, and pushed her towards Qi Shangqing.
