Dingdang's round face lit up with joy, and she exclaimed excitedly, "Miss, it's so good that the young master is back! Now no one will dare to bully you anymore!"
Jiang Luoluo smiled gently, her gaze softening. "Yes, it's rare to have a few days of peace and quiet."
"Come on, let's go to the clothing store. Mid-Autumn Festival is in a few days. Pick out some things you like today; it's on me, your young lady."
Dingdang hugged the sword and rubbed her hands together excitedly: "Great, Miss, let's go shopping!"
Jiang Luoluo couldn't help but chuckle as she looked at Dingdang's overjoyed expression.
This girl loves shopping, especially all kinds of snacks.
Passing by a candied hawthorn stall, Jiang Luoluo handed over a few copper coins and bought two skewers of candied hawthorn. The two of them, master and servant, each had one skewer and ate them as they walked towards Yunwei Clothing Shop.
"Welcome, ladies! Please come in!" A young girl from the clothing shop greeted them with a smile. "These are our newly arrived dresses. If you find any you like, please feel free to try them on."
Jiang Luoluo ate the last hawthorn, wiped her hands with a handkerchief, and began to look around for more.
When her gaze fell upon a peach-pink dress embroidered with phoenixes and kites, her eyes lit up. She then thought of Dingdang's hard work and dedication during this time, and with the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, it was time to reward her.
"Dingdang, try this dress on." Jiang Luoluo waved the dress in her hand, her gaze gentle.
Dingdang was munching on the last piece of sugar figurine when she suddenly froze, pointing to the tip of her nose. "Miss, me?"
Jiang Luoluo smiled and said, "Yes."
Dingdang nodded blankly and replied, "Oh, okay, Miss."
Guided by the little girl, Dingdang carried the dress toward the dressing room.
Suddenly, a mocking and disdainful female voice rang out, "Cousin, she's just a maid, yet she acts like she's on par with her master."
Jiang Luoluo looked in the direction of the sound and saw Jiang Yunjiao walking gracefully towards her, supported by her maid.
She glanced at Jiang Yunjiao indifferently and smiled slightly, "Dingdang is my sister. How I treat her is my own business, and my cousin has no right to interfere."
Jiang Yunjiao raised her chin, holding a bright yellow dress in her hand, and sneered, "I naturally have no right to interfere with how my cousin disciplines the servants, but..."
Her gaze shifted to the small changing room, and she ordered the young girl from the clothing shop in a disdainful tone, "This young lady is going to change here. Get all the irrelevant people out of here!"
The young girl looked troubled, but still maintained a smile and said gently, "Miss Jiang, there are still empty seats here. If you need to change, please follow me."
Jiang Yunjiao's face darkened, and her tone was somewhat oppressive, "I only want these, so hurry up and get started."
I am your esteemed customer, the sir; those vulgar servants are no match for me.
The young girl in the clothing shop was clearly intimidated by Jiang Yunjiao's imposing manner, but she still braced herself and stretched out her arms to block the small changing room of Dingdang, saying firmly, "Miss Jiang, you mustn't!"
Jiang Yunjiao was furious that a mere waiter dared to disobey her, and her eyes were full of disdain.
She waved her hand at the two maids beside her and said coldly, "You two, drag that lowly maid out from inside! I'm changing my clothes here now!"
The two maids exchanged a glance, not daring to disobey, and stepped forward aggressively, knocking the little girl to the ground.
"stop!"
Jiang Luoluo's voice was not loud, but it carried an undeniable authority.
The two maids were startled by the sound and stopped what they were doing in fright.
Jiang Luoluo's cold eyes sharpened. She quickly stepped forward, helped the little girl who had fallen to the ground up, patted the dust off her body, and then turned to face Jiang Yunjiao.
She raised her chin, her eyes already covered with a layer of frost.
“Cousin,” she said in a cold voice, but her tone left no room for argument, “there is no such thing as a class of people. The gold and silver you wear today, and the wealth and luxury you enjoy, are a result of your birth.”
Their hard work and the dignity they earn with their own hands are far more noble. Your bullying and abusing of power only makes you appear inferior.
Jiang Yunjiao was stunned by these words and couldn't refute them for a moment.
Her chest heaved, her eyes blazing with suppressed anger, and she gritted her teeth as she said, "Cousin, they're just a few servants. Do you really need to protect them like this? You think too highly of yourself!"
Jiang Luoluo remained calm, a half-smile playing on her lips, her tone indifferent yet her words sharp, "Cousin, respecting others is the most basic requirement of being a person."
If you don't even understand this simple principle, no matter how luxurious your clothes are, they can't hide the stench emanating from you.
Jiang Yunjiao was so angry that her face turned ashen and her chest heaved violently, but she was also wary of Jiang Luoluo's identity and dared not act recklessly in front of everyone.
She gritted her teeth and threw the bright yellow dress in her hand to the ground with a thud, as if to vent her anger.
Just then, a series of crisp applause came from the stairs, the sound echoing clearly in the store. "Miss Jiang truly lives up to her reputation as a model woman of the capital. Her words today have truly impressed us."
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw a woman walking slowly down the steps. Her eyes and brows were filled with a heroic spirit. She was dressed in a frosty white dress, which made her look clean, neat and elegant, with an outstanding temperament.
Jiang Yunjiao, still furious, turned her gaze to the woman and said in an unfriendly tone, "Who are you? Who gives you the right to point fingers?"
Jiang Luoluo turned her head slightly to look at the person who had come. The woman met Jiang Luoluo's gaze, a faint smile on her lips, and nodded to her. Jiang Luoluo also nodded politely.
The woman, holding a booklet, walked up to Jiang Yunjiao, looked her up and down, and gave her a cold look.
