Chapter 36 Xia Yue discovers the motorcyclist is Qin Yeting

"Shang Zexi." Qin Yeting betrayed his bad friend without hesitation.

Upon hearing the name, Xia Yue pondered for a moment and said, "It's a very nice name. The surname Shang is quite rare."

"Thank you for the compliment," Qin Yeting replied indifferently, though he was a little unhappy inside.

Xia Yue had never praised him like this when she first learned his name.

What's so good about the name Shang Zexi?

When he gets back, he's going to change his friend's name, preferably to Shang Zexi, the "Xi" in "diarrhea".

Xia Yue was just a name, yet Qin Yeting had so many thoughts running through his mind.

As she ate the fruit, she said, "You didn't sleep a wink last night, why don't you take a rest now? I'll keep watch for you."

"It's alright. Let's make the most of the daytime and travel well. I scouted the area while I was looking for fruit, and it's very desolate. It won't be easy to get out," Qin Yeting replied calmly.

"Oh... okay." Xia Yue lowered her head and focused on eating the wild fruit.

After finishing their meal, the two began to walk outside.

After walking for two hours, Xia Yue found herself getting further and further astray, with the surrounding trees becoming increasingly dense.

There was no sign of human life around her, her phone was dead, she couldn't call out to the outside world, and she couldn't tell which way to go.

Not only that, the sky was covered with dark clouds, and it looked like it was going to rain.

"Let's find a place to shelter from the rain first. Otherwise, in the middle of nowhere, it's easy to catch a cold and get a fever. If we don't have any medicine, it will be even more troublesome," Qin Yeting suggested loudly.

Xia Yue knew the weather was unusual, and considering that the other party hadn't rested all night, she finally agreed.

The two walked for another half hour and found a small cave.

As soon as I stepped inside, lightning flashed and thunder roared, and large raindrops pattered against the ground.

"Wow, we're pretty lucky!" Xia Yue said with great relief.

The man behind her did not answer.

A few seconds later, Xia Yue felt something was wrong and turned around to see that the "motorcycle man" had fallen to the ground!

Xia Yue quickly went forward to check.

"Hey, are you alright?" Xia Yue called out as she checked on him.

She noticed a snake bite wound on the motorcyclist's calf!

She remembered that she had almost slipped, and the other person had grabbed her hand tightly, which helped her maintain her balance.

After she regained her balance, she noticed the motorcyclist's feet twitch and reminded him to check.

The motorcyclist said, "It's about to rain, let's go, no problem."

This isn't just not a problem, it's a huge problem!

Xia Yue quickly took out the Hundred Spirit Pill that she always carried with her.

Although the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, the gray glass visor on the helmet could be opened.

She removed her mask and carefully fed the elixir to the patient.

After feeding him, she felt that the motorcycle man looked familiar, but because his facial features were not fully visible, she couldn't be sure for the time being.

She had a bold idea: to take off the entire helmet and see who the other person was.

But just as she was about to take off her helmet, it seems her magic pill worked too well, and the "motorcycle guy" actually woke up.

Qin Yeting grabbed Xia Yue's hand and asked coldly, "What are you going to do?"

"I'll take your helmet off so you can breathe more easily," Xia Yue lied calmly.

Qin Yeting snorted coldly, "No need."

Then, he got up and put his helmet on more securely.

Xia Yue was somewhat disappointed, as she hadn't been able to clearly see the man's face.

However, this is not the most important thing right now.

"You were bitten on the leg by a snake just now, didn't you notice?" Xia Yue gave him the Hundred Spirit Pill, which is a panacea.

However, it cannot be guaranteed to neutralize the toxicity 100%.

It needs to be checked again.

"I know, but that snake wasn't poisonous," Qin Yeting replied calmly.

He knew, of course, that he had been bitten by a snake, but he didn’t want to delay finding shelter from the rain.

Xia Yue was surprised by how patient the man was and could only express her sincere admiration.

She found some anti-inflammatory and antibacterial herbs near the cave, applied them to the man's wounds, and then sat down to wait for the rain to stop.

But the rain just kept getting heavier and showed no sign of stopping.

Xia Yue was getting a little annoyed; she had wasted too much time since yesterday.

Not only that, the temperature also dropped a bit because of the rain.

Summer months are cold.

She hugged her arms tightly.

A black coat was suddenly draped over her shoulders.

Qin Yeting simply walked over, gave his coat to Xia Yue, and then sat back down in his original seat.

He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt underneath.

Xia Yue couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you cold?"

"Men are more resistant to the cold," Qin Yeting replied coolly, then closed his eyes to conserve his energy.

Xia Yue laughed. She walked over to Qin Yeting and patted her shoulder, saying, "Hey, here, lean on me."

"Need not."

"You didn't sleep all night and got bitten by a snake, so you must be very tired now. Don't worry, I promise I won't secretly take off your helmet."

After Xia Yue finished speaking, she forcefully pressed the man's head onto her shoulder.

The familiar fragrance wafted into the girl's nose; it smelled so good, so comforting.

Qin Yeting's tense body suddenly relaxed.

He couldn't stay asleep for more than a minute before falling asleep on Xia Yue's shoulder.

Xia Yue smiled and helped the man adjust his position to make him more comfortable.

But just then, she noticed a very fresh wound on the man's right arm.

She recalled that a few days ago, Qin Yeting had returned home late at night with an injured right arm.

These two positions are exactly the same!

Then, combined with the somewhat familiar facial features I saw when I opened the mask earlier.
