Chapter 75 White Smoke Seeks a Fake Death Drug

Cui Hao dared not act recklessly again and quickly confessed everything, "I threatened Xia Yue with indecent photos, demanding that she reconcile with me, or I would post those photos online..."

Xia Yue prepared to leave.
Seeing Xia Yue about to leave, Cui Hao hurriedly cried out, "Divine Doctor! Don't go! Please save me!"

After Qin Yeting saw his wife leave, he could no longer control his temper.

"How annoying." Xia Yue said sarcastically.
Just as Xia Yue was about to leave, a white figure suddenly blocked her way.
"Divine Doctor, please save me!" Bai Yan, dressed in a maid outfit, stood in front of Xia Yue, her eyes filled with pleading.
Xia Yue and Bai Yan are friends, so Xia Yue naturally wouldn't refuse when her friend asked for help.
She asked, "Are you sick?"
Bai Yan didn't answer, but continued to ask, "Could we speak in private?"
"Okay," Xia Yue agreed again.
The two arrived at the backyard of the Cui family villa.
With no one else around and no surveillance cameras, Bai Yan knelt down in front of Xia Yue with a thud!
"What are you doing? Get up!" Xia Yue quickly helped Bai Yan up.
Bai Yan refused no matter what, and continued to plead, "Divine Doctor, I have exhausted all other options and have no choice but to turn to you."
"If you don't agree, I'd rather die than get up!"
"Okay, okay, I promise, now get up." Xia Yue pulled Bai Yan up with all her might.
Bai Yan was extremely clever; she immediately recognized Xia Yue's voice.
"Yueyue?" Bai Yan asked softly.
Xia Yue didn't expect Bai Yan to see through her so quickly. She stopped pretending and confessed, "Yes, it's me."
"You're actually the legendary doctor X? Am I dreaming?" Bai Yan exclaimed again.
Xia Yue said, "Do you want me to pinch you and see if you're dreaming?"
The white smoke nodded.
Xia Yue reached out, ready to pinch, but Bai Yan shook her head like a rattle-drum.
"I believe you! Yueyue, it really is you!" Bai Yan exclaimed with joy.
Xia Yue, however, remained calm and asked, "Why are you working as a maid here? Is it to hide from your ex-boyfriend?"
"Yes." Bai Yan nodded in agreement. "I didn't want to be caught and taken back by him, so I deliberately hid here under an assumed name. But judging from the situation today, it's not safe here anymore."
"Don't be afraid. Come with me to the Xia family home first. I have many bodyguards there who can protect you for a while." Xia Yue knew that Bai Yan's "ex-boyfriend" had a powerful background.
But she didn't want to see her friend suffer, so she was determined to find a way to save her no matter what.
Bai Yan, as always, did not want to implicate her friend. She shook her head and said only, "Yueyue, I can't implicate you. I came to you just to ask if you have anything similar to a fake death drug."
"You're trying to fool your ex-boyfriend with this?"

"You don't need to worry about revealing your identity. I also know disguise techniques and can help you conceal your appearance."
"But……"
"There are no 'buts'. If you don't agree, I won't help you," Xia Yue threatened deliberately.
Bai Yan knew that Xia Yue was doing this for her own good, and she was deeply moved, secretly remembering this kindness in her heart.
And so, Xia Yue returned to the Xia family with Bai Yan.
