Chapter 16 The Princess Is Too Arrogant 3
Qiu Chi glanced at it, said nothing, and got up to wash up.
After washing up, Xin'er, the woman who had married King Jing yesterday, came to pay her respects to Qiu Chi.
"Princess, please have some tea."
King Jing was sitting next to him. Xin'er picked up the tea from the maid and walked forward respectfully.
Qiu Chi looked at her but didn't answer.
Seeing this, Xin'er's eyes quickly became moist: "Princess, are you still angry with me because you don't accept my tea?"
After saying this, she even looked at King Jing with a shy look. Then, seeing the wound on King Jing's face, she exclaimed, "Your Highness, your face! Who is so bold as to hurt you?"
King Jing looked at Qiu Chi beside him, then drank a sip of water silently without saying a word.
Xin'er seemed to understand something. She looked at Qiuchi and mustered up the courage to say, "Princess, it's fine if you're angry with Xin'er, but how could you attack the prince? This is really too much. It's only because the prince has a good temper, otherwise this would be a capital crime."
She frowned slightly and looked at Qiu Chi with a look of disapproval.
Qiu Chi rolled his eyes and said, "Is the show over? You can get lost now that it's over."
"Princess, how could you do this..."
Qiu Chi looked at King Jing who was quietly drinking tea and said, "You take care of your people."
King Jing then put down his teacup and said, "Didn't you hear what the princess said? Hurry and get down."
Xin'er seemed to have not expected that Prince Jing would treat her like this. She looked at him in disbelief, tears welling in her eyes, "Your Highness..."
King Jing showed no sympathy for her. Instead, he frowned impatiently and said, "Don't make me repeat myself a second time."
Xin'er bit her lip and went down reluctantly.
Qiu Chi watched coldly, and was not surprised by King Jing's behavior.
Call him a scumbag, but he had a special affection for Cui Mingyu and even remained a virgin for a while in the early days.
You can't say he is a scumbag. He abused Cui Yueyue again and again. There were a lot of women in the palace in the early stage, just to abuse Cui Yueyue. Later, he fell in love with Cui Yueyue, but he couldn't let go of Cui Mingyu. In the end, he let Cui Mingyu abuse Cui Yueyue, and then chose Cui Mingyu at the important moment. After Cui Yueyue died, he regretted it and abused Cui Mingyu so badly.
Qiu Chi couldn't understand his weird idea, nor did he want to understand it.
After Xin'er left, Prince Jing looked at Qiuchi and said, "I have to go to the palace to pay my respects to the Emperor today. Remember to control your temper."
Qiu Chi said "hmm" lazily, and King Jing took it as Qiu Chi's agreement.
After breakfast, the two set off in a carriage.
When they arrived at the palace gate, they had to get off the car and walk. As soon as they got off the car, King Jing's face darkened, as if Qiu Chi owed him millions.
They met the Marquis of Qingping who was leaving the court at the palace gate.
Marquis Qingping greeted King Jing with a smile, "I was busy yesterday and didn't attend your wedding. I'm here to congratulate you today."
King Jing's already gloomy face grew even darker. "Is Marquis Qingping mocking me?"
Marquis Qingping was surprised: "Why would Your Highness think so? I sincerely congratulate Your Highness."
Qiu Chi reminded him quietly, "Because it wasn't me who got married to him yesterday, and I ruined his wedding, your congratulations now are just a joke to him."
Marquis Qingping looked at Qiuchi in surprise, and Qiuchi laughed and let him look.
If she hadn't known that Marquis Qingping was in cahoots with King Jing in the end, she would have really believed them.
However, people like Prince Jing, who showed his emotions directly on his face, made the emperor feel more at ease.
Especially since he would turn his face away when he disagreed with something, and he didn't seem to know that he had offended the court officials, which made the emperor feel at ease.
Facing Qiu Chi's meaningful gaze, King Jing maintained a stern expression. "This is the imperial palace, not a place for you to act so recklessly. If you continue to behave like you did yesterday, you deserve to die."
Qiu Chi gave King Jing a thumbs-up, then said, "Don't worry, I will definitely take you with me before I die."
King Jing's face sank a few degrees more, and he snorted coldly: "You don't know how to live or die!"
The eunuch who came to greet them stepped forward with a smile and said, "Your Highness and Princess, please stop arguing. The Emperor is still waiting. Come with us quickly."
In the palace, the emperor saw them coming and said with a smile, "My royal brother and his wife are here. Why don't you quickly offer them a seat?"
After the two sat down, the emperor paused for a moment, looking at the wound on Prince Jing's face. When he glanced at Qiu Chi, a hint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes, but he said worriedly, "What's wrong with your face, my brother? Have you applied medicine? It would be bad if it gets disfigured."
Although King Jing's face was gloomy, he said respectfully, "My Royal Brother, the medicine has been applied."
As for what happened, he didn't say anything, but just glared at Qiu Chi viciously.
The emperor followed his gaze and looked at Qiu Chi, who was leisurely beside him, and said, "Does my sister-in-law know what's going on?"
Qiu Chi said in a leisurely tone, "It's nothing serious. I just didn't like him and slashed him."
The emperor's smiling brows furrowed slightly, and he sighed, "I've heard everything about yesterday, Yun Jing. You were indeed wrong yesterday, and I understand why my sister-in-law is so angry. However, I granted you two a marriage because I wanted to see you live in harmony. Now that this matter is over, you two must get along well from now on."
Qiu Chi and King Jing Yunjing looked at each other, then turned their heads away at the same time, their eyes filled with disgust.
The emperor was more and more satisfied with this, but he said, "They are all quite childish."
"What childishness? What are you three talking about?"
Cui Mingyu walked in with a smile. The emperor saw her and said quickly, "My beloved concubine came to me and said that Yunjing and my sister-in-law are still immature."
As soon as Cui Mingyu arrived, Yun Jing's expression changed, but it quickly returned to normal. If Qiu Chi hadn't been staring at him as if watching a good show, he wouldn't have noticed this subtle change in him.
After Cui Mingyu spoke to the emperor for a few words, she looked at Qiu Chi and said with an elder sisterly air, "I've heard about what happened yesterday, Yueyue. Don't be so rude next time. It's only because the prince is generous that he doesn't hold it against you. Now that you're married, it's time for you to grow up."
After scolding Qiu Chi, she looked at Yun Jing and said, "Your Majesty, Yue Yue has been spoiled since she was a child. Please forgive me for my impoliteness."
After she finished speaking, her gaze paused on Yun Jing's scratched face, and she looked at Qiu Chi with a frown: "Yueyue, did you scratch the scars on the prince's face? How could you be so ignorant? You rely on the prince's kindness and act so lawless. You, you really disappoint me!"
Cui Mingyu clutched her chest, looking incredibly angry. The emperor waited for her to finish before quickly saying, "My beloved concubine, please don't be angry. My sister-in-law is still young. Why are you arguing with her? Besides, Yun Jing was also very absurd yesterday. Now that we've both done our absurdity, it's over. My beloved concubine, please don't get so angry that you damage your health. Otherwise, I'll be heartbroken."
The two of them sang in unison and completed the whole play, so there was no need for her to cooperate with Yun Jing at all.
Qiu Chi couldn't help but roll her eyes. Yun Jing noticed her expression and was afraid that Qiu Chi would say something bold, so he could only speak first: "I was wrong about what happened yesterday."
As soon as these words were spoken, the two people who were still singing looked at Yun Jing, as if they couldn't believe that these words came from his mouth.
Qiu Chi said from the side: "Did you hear that? Even he himself admitted that he was wrong." So how dare you blame me?
Although she didn't say that, Cui Mingyu's expression still looked a little unhappy. She curled her lips and said, "Even so, Yueyue, you can't be so presumptuous."
Qiu Chi gave Cui Mingyu a mocking look, and Yun Jing could only rush to her words before she could speak: "Noble Concubine, please stop talking. Let's just let what happened yesterday go."
After being choked twice by Yun Jing, Cui Mingyu was really a little bit unbelievable. She pursed her lips, smiled bitterly and said to the emperor: "Now it seems that I am a villain."
The emperor was heartbroken upon seeing this and quickly consoled her, "My beloved concubine, please don't think so. It was Yun Jing's fault in the first place. Now that he has admitted it, it means that he has finally understood a little..."
Cui Mingyu: “…”
Qiuchi: Hehe
