Chu Qian patted his daughter's back with tears in his eyes.
"Dad, I'm home."
"It's good that you're back. It's good that you're back."
Chu Ning turned her head, wiped away her tears, and forced a big smile at Su Jin, who was watching her from behind.
"Mom, I'm home."
With tears streaming down her face and a smile on her lips, Su Jin opened her arms wide. Chu Ning rushed into her mother's embrace and snuggled against her affectionately, revealing the innocent charm of a little girl.
"Oh, so you don't want your son anymore now that you have a daughter. My son was adopted. He came in and got beaten without saying a word. I'm really pitiful."
Chu Wennian leaned back on the sofa, his tone as sour as if he had drunk several vats of vinegar.
Chu Qian patted the mother and daughter who were hugging each other.
"Xiao Ning, you haven't met your sister-in-law yet, come and meet her."
Chu Ning wiped away her tears, turned around, and smiled at Liu Nuoling next to Chu Wennian.

The two women, sister-in-law and aunt, sat together on the side.

"Yesterday when I was shopping with Mom, I saw you shopping with a woman, and I thought it was you," Liu Nuoling said, scrutinizing Chu Wennian with her eyes.
