Chu Xingyue and Chu Jiaojiao greeted the members of Team Nine and headed straight for their dormitory.
"Sisters, wait a moment, I'll take you there."
Xia Yiyang said goodbye to the people around him and then ran to Chu Xingyue's side.
The people behind them watched Chu Jiaojiao and Xia Yiyang playfully fighting with their backs to them. Chu Xingyue turned her head and smiled at the two of them, suddenly feeling that this was quite enviable.
"We're here, sis. You and Jiaojiao go upstairs. I'm going back now. Let's meet at the cafeteria for lunch."
All you ever think about is eating in the cafeteria.
Chu Jiaojiao rolled her eyes.
"What? Don't you want to go eat?"
"Yes, I want to, but right now I just want to get a good night's sleep."
"Ha-hoo," Chu Jiaojiao said, and then yawned.
"Xiao Yang, you should go back, take a good shower, and get some sleep."
"Remember to call home and let them know you're safe."
"Okay, Sister An'an, I'll head back now."
Before turning to leave, he didn't forget to say goodbye to Chu Jiaojiao.
"Jiaojiao, brother's going home." "Go back, go back."
Chu Jiaojiao didn't even turn her head, she just waved her hand.
"Let's go, sis." "Okay."
Back in her dorm, Chu Jiaojiao lay down on her bed and soon began to snore softly.
Chu Xingyue turned around, intending to call Chu Jiaojiao to take a bath, but saw that she was already snoring.
Chu Xingyue smiled and shook her head. This girl really is just like when she was a child; she falls asleep instantly as soon as she relaxes.
As the saying goes, eating and sleeping are the most important things in the world.
After taking a shower, Chu Xingyue washed her clothes and shoes, then bent down to brush Chu Jiaojiao's shoes as well, and put them outside to dry.
Chu Xingyue lay on the bed, gently closing her eyelids, her lips curving slightly as she drifted off to sleep.
A research institute in Northwest China
"Engineer Chu, it's time for lunch. Let's go together."
Chu Ning, who was engrossed in calculations, looked up.
"Okay, just a moment, it'll be ready soon."
After quickly tidying up, I got up and went out to eat with the person who came.
No one would know there was a research institute here, simply because it was located inside the mountain.
This area also has a natural magnetic field, causing all electronic products to malfunction.
Everyone here signs a confidentiality agreement, meaning they can't even tell their families. However, they receive a ten-day vacation every year, and the benefits are excellent.
The initial investment required for such a research institute located deep in the mountains is unimaginable, let alone the several projects currently underway.
There were armed soldiers everywhere, some standing guard, some patrolling. There were more soldiers than researchers, which shows how secretive this place was; even flies would have a hard time getting in and out.
"Xiao Ning, how are you? Are you able to adapt?" Zhang Jianshe sat down opposite Chu Ning with a tray in his hand.
"Director Zhang!" someone at the table greeted Zhang Jianshe.
"It's okay, it's okay, you guys eat."
Zhang Jianshe waved the hand holding the chopsticks.
"Teacher, don't worry, I'm adapting very well."
"Yes, I'm relieved if you can adapt."
Chu Ning was parachuted into this research institute to lead a project on her own, under the guise of being Zhang Jianshe's student. However, Chu Ning had indeed studied under Zhang Jianshe for two years back then, which is why Zhang Jianshe felt that Chu Ning's profile looked somewhat familiar when she got off the plane.
They deal with classified information year-round and know what to say and what not to say.
The two of them tacitly avoided discussing anything outside of work.
"I'll be leaving for a while. If you need anything here, just go to the dean and he'll help you."
"Okay, teacher!"
"By the way, teacher, I have a small question here. Could you help me with it after dinner?"
"Okay, sure."
