"Alright then, we'll get on the bus when it arrives. Let's eat something first."
Ye Xiaoxiao took out the food her mother-in-law had prepared for them from her bag. The two of them sat down in the repair shop and began to eat.
There are really a lot of people here.
The two waited for more than an hour before finally hearing that the train to Dongshan had arrived. The staff at the entrance shouted for those going to Dongshan to hurry up and enter the station.
Holding the child, Ye Xiaoxiao followed closely behind Li Chenyang. As soon as they entered the station, a large number of people were rushing towards one station.
Just follow the group leader.
I joined the queue and boarded the bus. The seats inside were already packed.
The two placed the two bags at the entrance of the carriage. Ye Xiaoxiao then sat on one of the bags.
Anyway, it was filled with clothes and the like.
After the train started moving, Li Chenyang still curiously wandered around the carriage, just wanting to take a look. It was his first time riding a train.
"I just asked. The people on the train said that when someone gets off at their stop and there are empty seats, we can go and sit down."
Li Chenyang happily spun around and came back to tell Ye Xiaoxiao.
"Okay, then be careful when we stop at the station later."
Just then, a ticket inspector came over and asked them for their tickets.
Ye Xiaoxiao said she needed to buy two more tickets. She paid and received the tickets. The two tickets cost 48 yuan.
Li Chenyang took the child and told Ye Xiaoxiao to relax.
The two took turns traveling on the train, and the train conductor would frequently remind everyone to keep an eye on their luggage and beware of pickpockets.
They waited for more than two hours before they finally got a seat.
When an elderly couple got off the bus, they noticed that the two of them were still holding their child, so they were invited to sit down.
Li Chenyang stuffed one bag under the seat and placed the other bag on the luggage rack.
Let Ye Xiaoxiao hold the child and sit inside by the window.
"It will only take eight hours to get there."
Li Chenyang had never been there before. However, he had asked the people on the train and learned that the arrival time was around 3 a.m.
It's quite late, so they plan to wait at the station until dawn.
After dark, Xiaoxiao held her child, but wasn't sleepy. She was quite excited because she was going back to her parents' home.
"You go to sleep first. Sleep for a while, then I'll take over when you wake up."
"Okay, I'll take a nap."
Li Chenyang glanced at the couple sitting opposite him, then leaned back in his chair and fell asleep.
Their bags contained clothes, blankets, and the like; money and other important items were stored in their own system space.
Ye Xiaoxiao was quite relaxed. However, around 1:00 AM, some people still lost things.
"Of course it wasn't them," a woman's sobs echoed from the quiet carriage. Something important must have been stolen.
Ye Xiaoxiao tightened her grip on the child. She wasn't afraid of losing anything; the child was their most important thing.
It's also hard to guarantee there aren't any human traffickers or anything like that on the bus.
Whether it was her imagination or not, Ye Xiaoxiao suddenly felt that the two people opposite her were looking at her strangely.
[Mission: Apprehend the human traffickers and hand them over to the train police.]
[Hey, what do you mean? Where did these human traffickers come from?]
[These two are opposite. The man has a sleeping potion in his pocket. Host, be careful.]
No wonder those two made her feel uncomfortable. Especially that woman; she looked quite young, but her eyes always had a sinister look about them.
Li Chenyang was woken up by the crying and went to the toilet. There weren't many people in the carriage at this time; most of the passengers were asleep.
"This child is so handsome." The woman suddenly leaned over and reached out to touch Li Zhonghao's face.
Ye Xiaoxiao instinctively stepped back and hugged the child even tighter.
These two are really strange. They hadn't spoken to them before, but now that Li Chenyang had left, they suddenly became enthusiastic.
If Ye Xiaoxiao hadn't been notified by the system that these two were human traffickers, she might have actually struck up a conversation with them.
"What are you doing?" Ye Xiaoxiao looked at the other person warily.
"I'm just looking, such a beautiful child..." the woman said with a smile, but her eyes looked increasingly strange.
While Ye Xiaoxiao wasn't paying attention, the man sitting next to her suddenly took something out of his pocket.
Ye Xiaoxiao noticed that he seemed to have something in his hand, and thought it was probably a drug or something similar.
He reached out and grabbed the man's fist.
"Hey, what are you doing? How dare you grab my husband's hand like that? You shameless woman!"
The woman next to them hadn't expected that their fight would be noticed by her.
Fearing that the train police might actually come and arrest her, she immediately started yelling at Ye Xiaoxiao, accusing her of seducing her man while holding a child.
"Let go." The man had thought she was just a woman; he figured he could easily take the child away with a dose of sedatives. But he hadn't expected her to be so strong.
"What's wrong with you, woman? Let me go. I have a wife. Don't be shameless," the man threatened Ye Xiaoxiao in a low voice.
The lights in the carriage weren't on yet. The woman's voice wasn't very loud; she was mainly trying to threaten Ye Xiaoxiao into letting go of her hand.
Ye Xiaoxiao was holding the baby in one arm and gripping the man's hand with the other. If she let go, the evidence would be gone.
If that happens, it will really be her fault. She doesn't care what the two of them are saying now, and just curses Li Chenyang in her heart, urging him to come back soon.
"Let go!" Seeing that Ye Xiaoxiao was still not at ease, the woman kicked the man next to her.
The man's expression was abstract; he tried desperately to pull his hand back, but couldn't move it at all.
"I'm warning you, if you're still not at ease, don't blame me for being impolite."
