A week passed in the blink of an eye, and Lin Dong and Li Yanni were together almost every day.
The two would either go for a walk in the park, go to the library to read, or simply sit together and chat.
In just one week, they gained a deeper understanding of each other.
"Yanni, do you think we... are dating?" Lin Dong asked shyly that day.
Li Yanni smiled: "What do you think?"
"I meant to say..." Lin Dong said seriously.
"Although it hasn't been long, I feel that you are the one I've been waiting for. I want to discuss it with both our families and finalize the marriage arrangements."

Both sets of elders gave brief speeches, expressing their blessings to the young people.
Lin Dong also specially prepared a diamond ring and personally put it on Li Yanni's finger in front of everyone.
"We'll get married during the Chinese New Year," Lin Dong whispered in Li Yanni's ear. "These six months will be our trial period."
Li Yanni leaned on his shoulder, her heart filled with happiness. Although it all happened so quickly, it felt so natural.
"Are you really going to give up your job here for me?" Li Yanni asked, somewhat uneasy.
"It's not about giving up, it's about our future," Lin Dong said. "Besides, there are more opportunities and faster development in Shenzhen, which might even benefit my career."
Listening from the side, Ye Xiaoxiao grew increasingly satisfied with Lin Dong. This boy was not only steady but also remarkably considerate of others. Compared to Du Ming, who only knew how to use sweet talk, he was far superior.
The next morning, Lin Dong drove to pick up Li Yanni. The car was brand new, supposedly specially prepared for picking up and dropping off Li Yanni in the future.
"Take care on your journey," Ye Xiaoxiao said, helping them unpack their luggage. "Call us when you arrive."
"Okay, sister-in-law." Li Yanni hugged Ye Xiaoxiao. "Thank you."
Ye Xiaoxiao patted her head: "Silly girl, as long as you're happy."
Throughout the journey, Lin Dong drove very steadily, and would occasionally ask Li Yanni if she needed to rest or if she was thirsty. These details deeply moved Li Yanni.
"You know what?" Lin Dong said, "Actually, I've heard about you before. Every time my master comes to my house, he mentions you, saying how sensible and outstanding you are. I always thought he was just listening casually, but I never expected..."
"What didn't you expect?" Li Yanni asked with a smile.
