Chapter 133 Humility

"I'll listen to you." Lu Yu said to Qin Wan. He knew that Qin Wan understood the situation here better than he did and knew better how to deal with it.

He continued, "I just caught a few thugs not far from the cave. At the time, I wanted to hand them over to the police and let the professionals handle the professional work. But now that you're here, it's up to you. You decide what's right and what's more suitable for you. I don't understand this, so you decide."

Lu Yu looked at Qin Wan, his eyes full of trust and dependence. He knew that Qin Wan would make the right decision. And he only needed to follow her instructions.

Qin Wan felt a warm feeling in her heart when she heard Lu Yu's words.

She felt Lu Yu's respect and trust in her, which made her feel extremely happy. At the same time, she also understood that Lu Yu was not a timid person, but a responsible and capable man.

She walked to Lu Yu and said:

"Thank you, Lu Yu, for your trust in me. But, I really don't understand any of this. Before you came, I should have trusted the police's ability and let them deal with these hooligans. However, now that you are here, it is still up to you to handle these matters."

Seeing that Qin Wan had indeed intervened in this matter, Lu Yu said:

"Let's put it this way. They say it's easy to hide from a gun, but hard to guard against an arrow. If I show up right now, many things won't be easy. You should go ahead and hand them over to the police. I'll observe from behind and then take the next step."

Qin Wan agreed:

"Okay, I'll go out right now and find someone to tell the captain to take some people to arrest those hooligans and send them to the police station."

Lu Yu looked at Qin Wan, his eyes flashing with determination.

He knew that no matter what difficulties he encountered, as long as Qin Wan was by his side, he would be able to overcome them. Because they relied on each other and were each other's source of strength.

Qin Wan stood at the entrance of the cave, the sunlight filtering through the gaps in the leaves, dappling her face. She took a deep breath of the fresh air and felt much more cheerful.

Lu Yu turned around and put the spy in the corner of the cave, and then secretly monitored the gangsters.

Qin Wan came to the gangsters and found that they were still unconscious. Despite this, in order to prevent them from waking up, Qin Wan kicked them again and placed them on the side of the mountain road, while she went down the mountain.

Halfway up the mountain, Qin Wan ran into Doudou, the village chief's eldest grandson. Doudou was a lively and adorable child. Upon seeing Qin Wan, he excitedly ran over, grabbed her hand, and asked her all sorts of questions. Qin Wan smiled and answered, but in his heart, he was thinking about how to quickly find the village chief and tell him what had just happened.

"Dou Dou, is your grandfather at home? I need to find him for something urgent." Qin Wan squatted down and asked gently.

Doudou nodded and said:

"Grandpa might be at home. Do you know my home? Come on, I'll take you there."

"Okay, thank you, Doudou." Qin Wan took out a handful of White Rabbit milk candies from his pocket and put them in Doudou's hand.

Doudou declined twice, but when she saw that Qin Wan was determined to give it to her, she accepted it.

Doudou walked forward, took Qin Wan's hand, and trotted all the way to his home.

The village chief happened to be at home. When he saw Qin Wan coming over in a hurry, he knew that she must have something important to tell him, so he asked:

"Qin Zhiqing, what's going on?"

Qin Wan told the village chief everything that had happened in the cave. After listening, the village chief frowned, thought for a while, and then said:

"Qin Zhiqing, you did the right thing. Those little hooligans are the trouble in this town and should have been put behind bars long ago. I'll take some people and send them to the police station right away."

After that, the village chief took Qin Wan to the militia captain and told him what had happened. The captain then called a few militiamen and went up the mountain together to carry the hooligans down the mountain like dead pigs. Then they threw them onto a horse-drawn carriage that had been prepared long ago and headed straight for the police station.

Qin Wan rode a bicycle and followed the carriage to the police station.

Arriving at the police station, the village chief told the police captain what had happened in detail. After listening, the police captain praised Qin Wan and the village chief for their courage and wisdom, and said:

"From now on, if there's any disturbance, be sure to call the police first. Don't act on your own, or you might get bitten by these thugs. I'm not trying to scare you; this kind of thing has happened before. I don't want anyone to repeat it."

"Yes, yes, I understand. We understand. Didn't we send these people to the police station as soon as we found them?" The militia captain said with a smile.

The police captain thought to himself: This is because the thugs who committed the crime are not from your village. If they were from your village, I'm afraid the big things would be reduced to small things, and the small things would be forgotten.

But this matter cannot be taken seriously. All the brigades do this. In order to get a place in the advanced brigade, many issues are resolved on the spot.

After the police captain reminded them, he smiled and said:

"We will deal with this matter as soon as possible and give the villagers a satisfactory answer."

The village chief was relieved to hear the police captain's words. He turned to Qin Wan and said, "Qin Wan, this time it's all thanks to you. If you hadn't discovered and arrested those hooligans in time, who knows how many people would have been hurt if they had stayed in the mountains."

Qin Wan smiled and said, "Village Chief, this is what I should do. We are all part of the village, and it is our responsibility to maintain the safety of our village."

The village chief nodded and said, "Qin Zhiqing is indeed from a big city. He has a high level of awareness."
