Chapter 174 Vegetable Seeds

Qin Huai felt confused and puzzled. Why did he end up in such a desperate situation?

Was it simply because he made the same mistakes all men make?

Why was he given such a cruel punishment?

He was unwilling to bow to fate like this. He was so angry in his heart, but there was no way to change the status quo. He could only cry out in pain.

Qin Huai used all his strength and pounded the bed twice, "bang bang", trying to get rid of the frustration and resentment in his heart.

He hoped to attract the attention of people around him in this way so that they would know his existence and difficulties.

But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to change his fate of being ignored.

He had caught a bad cold a few days ago and had been lying in bed for three days. His body felt as if it had been roasted by fire, and every part of his flesh was in excruciating pain.

As a result, during these three difficult days, no one came to see him, and no one even cared whether he was dead or alive.

The world seemed to have become cold and indifferent, not caring about his existence or not.

Although he tried his best to express his dissatisfaction in the loudest voice, his weak body and hoarse voice made his efforts seem insignificant.

The sound of him pounding the bed was like the buzzing of a mosquito and failed to cause any ripples in the vast farm.

Qin Huai is dead.

When everyone found him dead, his body had already stiffened, but his eyes were still staring into the void.

Death was common on this farm, and no one took it seriously.

Although he died with his eyes open, there were so many people there who died with their eyes open that no one thought it was anything special.

Qin Huai is dead, and everyone else can continue to live their lives as usual.

The sun still shines brightly on the earth, illuminating this fertile land.

The people on the farm were busy and working in an orderly manner, as if nothing had changed. Qin Huai's death did not bring a ripple to this seemingly peaceful place.

Qin Huai's name was gradually forgotten by people, and his existence was gradually erased by time.

His bed was made as if it had never been slept in. His belongings were arranged and ready to be distributed to others in need.

Life goes on and everyone is struggling to survive.

As time went by, Qin Huai's story gradually faded from people's memory.

His death became part of the farm's history, as new life continued to be born and old life continued to die.

In this cruel world, life and death are just a matter of a moment, and people can only choose to move on.

Qin Wan woke up from his dream, saw that it was already daybreak, and got up. Thinking of the dream, he couldn't help but sigh.

Life is like a dream, and dreams are like life. There is no need to force many things, just let them take their course.

After breakfast, Qin Wan cleaned up the kitchen and couldn't wait to go to the military service center. She wanted to get vegetable seeds immediately and make the backyard green and full of vitality.

When she arrived at the service center, she saw Wang Yanhong and another young salesperson diligently wiping the counter. She quickly stepped forward and greeted them: "Sister-in-law, Comrade Wei, good morning!"

The young salesperson's surname is Wei, and her name is Wei Xiaoling.

The two of them also hurriedly greeted Qin Wan:

"Hello, girl!"

"Hello, Sister Lu."

Wang Yanhong raised her head while greeting, a friendly smile on her face.

She guessed at a glance that Qin Wan was looking for her to get vegetable seeds, so she quickly put down the rag in her hand and walked quickly towards a small cloth bag she brought with her.

She opened the bag, carefully took out a dozen paper packages, and handed them to Qin Wan, saying enthusiastically:

"Xiao Qin, these are the vegetable seeds I sorted out at home last night. I carefully wrote the name of the seed on each paper package, so you can plant them with confidence. If you have any questions, feel free to come back and ask me."

Qin Wan nodded gratefully, took the dozen or so paper bags with both hands, and replied with a smile:

"Thank you, Sister Yanhong."

Then, as if she remembered something, she quickly took out a few chocolates from her schoolbag, handed them to Wang Yanhong, and said with a smile:

"Sister Yanhong, this is the chocolate I brought for you. It's delicious."

Wang Yanhong was a little surprised and a little moved, and quickly waved her hand to refuse:

“Oh, Xiao Qin, you are too polite. I can’t take your things.”

Qin Wan insisted on stuffing the chocolate into Wang Yanhong's hand and said seriously:

"Sister-in-law Yanhong, please accept this. It's just a small token of my appreciation. You've been so kind to me and helped me a lot. I'm really grateful to you."

In fact, she took these chocolates out from the space. Wasn’t his space unlocked? There were a lot of chocolates among the supplies Qin Wan collected that year.

Qin Wan didn't like eating these. The reason she collected them into her space wasn't because she liked eating them, but because the more species she collected, the safer she felt.

A hint of surprise flashed in Wang Yanhong's eyes. She quickly took the chocolate, her face filled with gratitude.

"Oh my, Xiao Qin, you are so polite. If it was just ordinary candy or something like that, I might not care too much, but this is chocolate! I really like it. Thank you, Xiao Qin."

Qin Wan was a little confused. Why did it sound to her like Sister Yanhong was letting her eat all the chocolates she had given her? Didn't Sister Yanhong really like her children? Don't parents these days always save the good things for their children?
