Chapter 508: Training a Child (I)

After an unknown amount of time, the train finally arrived at its destination.

Qin Wan got off the car with her luggage and hurried to the family compound. When she arrived at the door and gently opened it, a warm breath instantly hit her face.

This breath was so familiar that her wandering heart suddenly found a home.

Inside the house, the quadruplets were sitting quietly in the living room playing.

Hearing the door open, they all raised their heads and stared at the door. When they saw their mother walk into the house, the four little ones danced with joy.

They ran towards their mother as fast as four little swallows waiting to be fed, and kept calling out, "Mom, Mom!"

Qin Wan looked at the happy figures of the children and a happy smile appeared on her face.

She quickly squatted down and opened her arms to welcome the children's hug. The four little ones rushed forward and surrounded their mother tightly, some hugging her neck, some holding her mother's clothes, calling and making noises affectionately.

Qin Wan was infected by the children's enthusiasm. She smiled happily and stretched out her arms to hug the four little ones one by one.

She felt the warmth of the children's bodies, listened to their chirping, and her heart was filled with sweetness. At this moment, she felt that she was the happiest mother in the world.

The mother and her children thoroughly enjoyed the joyful time of reunion, playing games and telling stories together. Before they knew it, a long time had passed.

At this moment, Sibao suddenly stood up and ran back to his room like a little rabbit.

After a while, he ran back to the living room happily with a test paper in his hand, rushed in front of Qin Wan and said:

"Mom, mom, look! I got first place in the exam, and I got full marks!"

As he spoke, he held up the test paper in his hand high, with a look of pride on his little face.

Qin Wan took Sibao's test paper, looked at it carefully, and praised:

"Little Sibao worked really hard on his homework, so he got every question right. That's awesome!"

As he spoke, he leaned over and gently kissed the little Sibao's cheek, which was as smooth as a peeled egg, feeling the warm touch and the faint scent of milk coming from the little guy's face.

Then he slowly straightened up, raised his head, and glanced at Dabao, Erbao, and Sanbao in turn, and asked softly:

"What about you three? Tell mom quickly, how many points did you get on this test?"

Dabao lowered his head slightly, not daring to look his mother in the eye, and stammered:

"Mom, those test questions were too easy for me, so...so I didn't take them seriously."

Dabao's words were like a thunderclap exploding in the air. Qin Wan's expression changed slightly in an instant, and a hint of surprise and disappointment flashed in his eyes, which were originally full of expectation.

But just a moment later, she took a deep breath and quickly adjusted her mood. When she looked at Dabao again, although there was still some dissatisfaction in her eyes, there was more of a complex expression of tenderness and seriousness intertwined.

Dabao keenly noticed the change in his mother's mood, and his heart tightened. A barely perceptible look of nervousness immediately flashed across his delicate little face.

He subconsciously shrank back, as if trying to avoid his mother's sharp gaze.

At this moment, Erbao and Sanbao looked at each other, turned around as if they had telepathy, and ran towards their bedroom.

After a while, the two of them ran back to the living room, panting, holding their test papers tightly in their hands.

Erbao seemed a little guilty. After hesitating for a long time, he carefully handed his test paper to Qin Wan and said softly in a slightly apologetic tone:

"Mom, I'm sorry! I didn't do very well on the test this time. I misunderstood some of the questions."

After saying that, Erbao lowered his head silently like a child who had done something wrong, and twisted his two little hands together nervously, as if he was anxiously waiting for his mother's reprimand.

Qin Wan gently picked up Erbao's test paper and carefully examined the questions and answers. She frowned slightly and asked doubtfully:

"This question shouldn't be difficult for you, so how come you got it wrong?"

When Erbao heard his mother's question, his face flushed slightly, and he looked a little embarrassed. He lowered his head, fiddling with the corner of his clothes with his hands, and muttered softly:

"I...I accidentally mistook a plus sign for a minus sign."

After hearing this, Qin Wan nodded to show his understanding, but continued to ask:

"But why can Sibao answer the same type of questions correctly?"

Erbao raised his head, looked at his mother, and answered honestly:

"Because Sibao is more careful than me." Then he added, "Mom, didn't you just tell me the reason?"

Qin Wan smiled slightly and said to Erbao earnestly:

"Yes, it was because Sibao was careful enough that he got full marks on this test. As for you, due to your carelessness, your grades fell behind his. Think about it, seeing that your score is not as high as your brother's, can you feel happy?"

Erbao bit his lip, shook his head firmly, and said loudly:

"I'm not happy! Mom, actually, I can do this kind of questions. Next time I will definitely examine the questions carefully and not make such mistakes again, and strive to surpass Sibao!"

Qin Wan took a deep breath:

"If you're not careful, you'll be unhappy later. At the beginning, there won't be a big gap between people, but over time, the gap will emerge."

Seeing Qin Wan's face was so gloomy that it seemed like water could drip out, San Bao's heart tightened. He hurriedly handed his wrinkled test paper to Qin Wan respectfully, and said carefully:
