Extra 14: Bai Susu

Not long after, Qin Huai and Bai Susu entered the marriage hall with the blessings of their relatives and friends.

Although Bai's parents once declared that they would no longer interfere in anything concerning Bai Susu, in reality, Bai Kaixi and Jia Ailing only had Bai Susu as their precious daughter, so how could they really ignore her?

They love their only daughter so much!

When it was time for their daughter to get married, the old couple not only carefully prepared the traditional dowry of "thirty-six legs" (including wardrobes, dressing tables and other furniture), as well as the extremely popular "three turns and one ring" (bicycle, sewing machine, watch and radio) to accompany their daughter, but they even gave their spacious and comfortable house as a dowry to Bai Suzhen.

They willingly moved into the small office assigned to Bai Kaixi by the unit.

Bai Kaixi and Jia Ailing thought that since they gave Bai Susu such a generous dowry, the couple's future life would surely be as sweet as the honey and oil in a sugar jar, inseparable and inseparable.

Who would have thought that life after marriage was not as happy as Bai Suzhen had imagined.

Qin Huai's mother was a widow. She felt that raising Qin Huai was not easy. She often talked about how difficult it was for her in the past and repeatedly emphasized that her son must be filial to her after he got married.

In her heart, her son was the most outstanding and perfect person in the world, and no matter who he married, he would be marrying someone of inferior status. Therefore, the mother began to make trouble for her new daughter-in-law Bai Susu at every turn.

On weekdays, Qin Huai's mother always found various excuses to provoke Bai Susu. One day she complained that the food tasted wrong, and the next day she accused Bai Susu of not cleaning the house properly.

Faced with all kinds of difficulties from her mother-in-law, even though Bai Susu's heart was filled with grievances and pain, she never complained to her biological mother.

After all, this path was something she had worked so hard to get, and that man was also the one she chose after careful consideration.

Therefore, even if the road ahead is bumpy and she even needs to walk on her knees, she will finish this journey.

Fortunately, Qin Huai always gave him some sweet words when he was about to collapse, so that her tortured heart would not die.

Her life didn't get better until she gave birth to a son as her first child, which occupied the old lady's attention.

Time passed quietly, and finally the moment came when the old lady passed away.

From then on, Bai Susu's life gradually became easier and smoother. Although the old lady had been picky and wantonly difficult for her in the past long years, because Qin Huai had always been caring and considerate to Bai Susu, Bai Susu still felt a deep sense of happiness.

Moreover, she once happily boasted to her parents how wise and correct her decision was.

Bai Susu has always had a blind admiration for Qin Huai and has always been proud of being Qin Huai's only one. It was not until the day when Qin Huai was caught cheating that she realized that she had always been a walking joke.

Bai Suzhen clearly remembered that on the morning when Qin Wan went to the countryside, a scream from the house of the romantic widow Liu Juhua woke many people from their sweet dreams.

Then she saw Qin Huai and Liu Juhua being caught sleeping together.

As people flocked to Liu Juhua's house, Bai Susu followed the crowd. Her heart was filled with doubts and uneasiness. She didn't want to believe the rumors she had heard, and she didn't want to face the possible truth.

However, when she stepped into Liu Juhua's home and saw Qin Huai and Liu Juhua lying on the ground in dishevel, surrounded and beaten, her world seemed to collapse in an instant. At that moment, she seemed to hear the sound of her own heart breaking.

Bai Suzhen's heart seemed to be tightly grasped by an invisible big hand, and every beat was accompanied by severe pain and a feeling of suffocation.

Her eyes were wide open, but seemed to have lost focus. She just mechanically stared at the disgusting scene in front of her. Her mind was blank and she was unable to accept this cruel reality.

Her lips trembled slightly, but no sound came out, as if she had been deprived of the ability to speak.

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she stubbornly refused to fall, as if silently protesting against this unfair fate.

Her hands were clenched into fists, her nails digging deep into her palms. The pain reminded her that this was not a dream, but a bloody reality.

Bai Susu's heart was filled with complex emotions: anger, sadness, disappointment, shame... These emotions intertwined together to form a powerful vortex that dragged her into endless darkness.

She felt her soul being torn apart bit by bit, each piece carrying the love and hatred for Qin Huai, the desire and despair for this relationship.

She thought this was the end of her pain, but she didn't know that even greater pain was waiting for her.

She was instigated by her adopted daughter Qin Ruanruan to go to the place where her daughter Qin Wan went to work in the countryside. She went there to ask her daughter to return the money she earned from selling her job and the compensation for her daughter's fiancé's breaking off the engagement.

Unexpectedly, he found out that the adopted daughter he had taken good care of was actually the child of Qin Huai and his white moonlight.

After Bai Susu learned the truth, her shock and anger erupted like a volcano. She stepped into Qin Huai's study with mixed feelings. Her original purpose was to find the address of the "white moonlight", to question her, and perhaps even to seek some justice.

However, when she searched every corner of the study, she failed to find the address as she wished, but instead unexpectedly found a diary of Qin Huai.

In his diary, Qin Huai recorded in detail every detail of his relationship with the "white moonlight", from the heartbeat of their first encounter, to their secret trysts, to their deep attachment to this relationship.

Between the lines, Bai Susu saw the tenderness and affection that Qin Huai had never shown in front of her. These emotions that should have belonged to her were occupied by another woman.

What made Bai Susu even more heartbroken was that the diary revealed that Qin Huai had already plotted against her.

He took advantage of her kindness and trust, pushing her into the abyss step by step.

From the initial approach, to the subsequent marriage, and even Qin Ruanruan's adoption, they were all carefully designed by Qin Huai to cover up the truth.

And she was just a tool used by Qin Huai to ensure the happiness of that woman.
