Qin Ruanruan's voice became louder and louder, with a roar of despair.
"I am your biological daughter, and I have the same blood as you.
Do you think I wanted to be sold into the mountains? At the time, I cried out to heaven and earth, but no one answered. There was nothing I could do. I suffered so much in those mountains, and every day I hoped to escape and return home. "Wuwuwu..."
Qin Runrun became more and more excited as she spoke. She stood up and took two staggering steps towards Bai Susu, waving her hands wildly in the air, as if trying to grasp the glimmer of hope of being understood by her mother.
"Wow, mother, how can you be so cruel? I know I'm not as good as my second sister and I don't bring honor to you, but even if you want to frame me, you have to leave me a way out, right?
I finally escaped from that hellish mountain, and was so happy that I thought I would get your comfort and love when I returned home, but you treated me like this.
Think about it, if you kill me, what good will it do you? I am your biological daughter, can you really bear to see me suffer like this? Wuuwuwu..."
Her cries echoed in the silent room, like the helpless howling of a wounded little animal. Her voice was filled with helplessness towards fate, disappointment towards her mother and confusion about the future.
Qin Runrun cried as she spoke, and many of the nurses around her had red eyes.
Now they are even more convinced that Qin Runrun is not Bai Suzhen's biological daughter.
The atmosphere in the ward was so depressing that it was hard to breathe.
Qin Runrun's face was covered with tears, and she was crying like a pear blossom in the rain. She looked as pitiful as she could be. She cried to Bai Susu with tears and snot:
"Mom, I really haven't done anything to offend you. How can you be so wronged? I respect you the most and treat you with all my heart. Why don't you believe me?"
As she spoke, she wiped her tears with her hands, and her body trembled from time to time, as if she had really suffered a great injustice.
However, Bai Suzhen remained unmoved like a mountain.
Her eyes were firm and sharp, staring at Qin Ruanruan closely, without any sign of softness on her face. She bit her lip and said in a tough tone:
"Qin Ruanruan, stop pretending to be pitiful. I won't fall for it! Nurse, nurse! Go check the cup and see if there's any medicine!"
Qin Ruanruan raised her red-eyed face and asked softly, "Mom, can we stop making trouble? You keep asking for an investigation. What evidence do you have?"
Bai Suzhen knew in her heart that she had no solid evidence to prove that Qin Runrun had drugged the water.
But she had a hunch that Qin Ruanruan had drugged her! This hunch was like a thorn in her heart, and she couldn't ignore it no matter what.
Her mind kept replaying the palpitations she felt when Qin Ruanruan forced her to drink the glass of water, and also the various strange ways she had treated her own daughter in the past. She began to suspect that she had been drugged.
So, even though there was no evidence, she insisted on checking the glass of water, even if it was just to buy peace of mind.
The head nurse stood aside, looking very embarrassed. She frowned, her eyes revealing a hint of helplessness.
Bai Susu's insistence made it impossible for her to refuse, but Qin Ruanruan's pleading made her feel a little reluctant. After hesitating for a moment, the head nurse chose responsibility.
She sighed and said to the two nurses beside her:
"Go and pull Qin Ruanruan away."
Two nurses walked forward cautiously and tried to pull Qin Ruanruan away.
Seeing this, Qin Ruanruan immediately struggled like an enraged beast. She waved her hands and kicked the ground with her feet, and kept shouting:
"Why are you pulling me? I haven't done anything wrong!"
In the fierce struggle, Qin Ruanruan's arm accidentally touched the cup on the table. With a crisp sound of "snap", the cup slipped off the table and fell to the ground, shattering into pieces. Clear water splashed everywhere, and glass fragments were scattered all over the floor.
Qin Jing stood aside, looking at the mess on the ground, and felt a headache.
He frowned, hiding the impatience in his eyes.
He quickly walked to Bai Susu's side and said anxiously:
"Mom, can you please stop making such a fuss? What's wrong with you? Are you having a belching attack? Or are you just confused? How could my third sister possibly hurt you?"
As he spoke, he stretched out his hands and gestured casually in the air, as if to convey these words to Bai Suzhen more forcefully.
"Don't you have the best relationship with your third sister? Back then, you put so much thought into preventing her from going to the countryside. In order to keep her by your side, you secretly signed up your second sister, who had a job, to go to the countryside.
Everyone in our area knows that you are really kind to your third sister with all your heart, and you would like to give her your heart.
Don't worry, if she has even a little bit of conscience, she will never do anything to harm you."
Qin Jing said this, shaking her head helplessly. The movement of her head was so large that it seemed as if she wanted to release all the helplessness in her heart through this action.
His eyes were full of disappointment as he stared straight at Bai Suzhen, as if blaming her for being so confused.
Bai Suzhen looked at her son who had no faith in her at all, and she felt a surge of anger rising from the bottom of her heart.
Her chest heaved violently, as if a raging fire was roiling within. She gasped for breath, her breath so heavy it seemed to suck all the air out of her. Her eyes widened, their rims slightly red with anger.
