Extra Chapter 36: Zhou Ran

The Qin family's mother, son, and daughter were immersed in a heartwarming conversation when suddenly a commotion from the emergency room broke the silence.

Everyone was stunned and looked at each other, their eyes full of confusion.

"I'll go over and take a look."

Qin Jing reacted quickly. She stood up and walked quickly to the emergency room.

Bai Susu looked at Qin Jing's departing back and felt relieved. This child was so thoughtful. He must have seen that she wanted to talk to her daughter alone.

She turned her head, held Qin Wan's hand, and said with some embarrassment:

"My daughter, you have suffered a lot these years."

Bai Susu's voice was choked with sobs, and tears flashed in her eyes. She knew that Qin Wan had sacrificed too much for the family and for her as a mother over the years.

Qin Wan felt a pang of sadness when she heard this, not for herself, but for the original owner. She suppressed her tears, smiled and shook her head:

"Mom, what are you talking about? What happened is over. Why bring it up again and add to the sadness?"

She couldn't say that she forgave Bai Suzhen. After all, the original owner was dead because of the Qin family, and she had no right to replace the original owner.

Bai Susu felt even more guilty when she heard what Qin Wan said. She knew that as a mother, she had not brought much happiness to her daughter, but instead made her bear too much pressure and burden.

"My daughter, when I get better, I will definitely make it up to you."

Bai Suzhen's voice was full of determination and persistence.

Qin Wan nodded, but she knew that Bai Susu's words were just for show. After all, given Bai Susu's physical condition, she wouldn't live for many days.

However, this matter cannot be told to Bai Susu. Although she dislikes Bai Susu, it cannot change the fact that Bai Susu is the original owner's biological mother.

At this time, Qin Jing hurried back, with a look of anxiety and uneasiness on her face:

"Mom, sister, there's a patient in the emergency room in critical condition who needs immediate surgery and possibly a blood transfusion. I'll go over and help."

After hearing this, Bai Suzhen and Qin Wan both nodded.

They all know that although the hospital has plasma stored, due to limited conditions, the plasma is often not enough and people are often needed to donate blood.

"Go ahead, Jing'er, and be sure to be careful." Bai Susu warned earnestly.

Qin Wan also said: "Brother, be careful."

Qin Jing felt very warm and benefited with the care of her mother and sister.

Qin Jing came back soon.

Bai Susu and Qin Wan were surprised to see Qin Jing return. Wasn't she back too soon? Didn't a blood transfusion require a blood test beforehand? That alone would probably take 10 to 20 minutes.

Bai Susu immediately asked with concern:

"What happened? Is the blood transfusion finished?"

Qin Jing slowly shook her head and said solemnly:

"The patient died."

"Dead?"

Bai Suzhen opened her mouth in surprise, obviously very surprised by the news.

"Yes, that's right!" Qin Jing nodded and continued, "You also know the man who died. He was the second son of Zhang Shengli's uncle. He was stabbed by Zhou Ye with a dagger during a fight with him."

"Zhou Ye?" Qin Wan couldn't help but scream when he heard the name.

She didn't know the second son of Zhang Shengli's uncle, nor did she know Zhou Ye, but she knew Zhou Ye's brother Zhou Ran.

Zhou Ran is Qin Wan's classmate and has a good relationship with Qin Wan.

Zhou Ran is a sensible and enthusiastic boy who likes to be considerate of others, but he is too honest and is often fooled by Zhou Ye.

"How could it be him?" Qin Wan muttered to himself, his heart filled with shock and confusion.

She really couldn't imagine that Zhou Ye would do such a thing and beat someone to death.

In fact, Qin Wan wouldn't care too much if Zhou Ye killed someone. But she was concerned about whether Zhou's family would let Zhou Ran take the blame.

Bai Suzhen also fell silent.

She could see that her daughter had a good relationship with Zhou Ran, and she felt bad seeing Qin Wan's reaction.

She felt sorry for her son, not Zhou Ran. Her daughter's concern for her son was not as great as her concern for the boy named Zhou Ran.

She patted Qin Wan's hand gently and comforted him:

"My daughter, this has already happened and there's nothing we can do to change it. Don't be too sad and don't think too much about it."

Qin Jing also nodded and added:

"Yes, sister. We will hand Zhou Ye's matter over to the police. What you have to do now is to take good care of yourself and don't let mom worry."

After hearing this, Qin Wan took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

"I'm fine, Mom, brother."

Qin Wan forced a smile. Although there was still a hint of bitterness in her smile, at least she was trying to be strong.

Bai Susu and Qin Jing looked at Qin Wan, and their eyes were filled with relief when they saw that she no longer asked about Zhou Ran.

But what they didn't know was that Qin Wan didn't care about Zhou Ran's affairs, she just didn't express her concern with words.

At this moment, she was mobilizing her spiritual consciousness to see what happened between Zhou Ye and the deceased.

If you don’t understand this, you won’t know. After understanding this, Qin Wan almost got angry to death!

It turned out that the bastard Zhou Ye had quarreled with the second son of Zhang Shengli's uncle over a trivial matter, and even used a dagger in the quarrel.

Zhou Ye has always been reckless and impulsive, and this time he completely lost his mind and stabbed the other person with a dagger.

The Zhou family was even more infuriating. They were actually planning how to trick Zhou Ran back home and then coax him into taking the blame for Zhou Ran.

"Zhou Ran is so sensible, he will definitely take the blame for his brother." There was a hint of calculation and indifference in Zhou's mother's voice.

"Yes, we just need to tell him that Zhou Ye is still young and doesn't understand things. If he goes to jail, his life will be ruined. Zhou Ran loves his brother so much, he will definitely agree."

Zhou's father actually agreed with Zhou's statement.

Qin Wan was furious. She simply couldn't stand the Zhou family's behavior. Zhou Ran was such a good person, why should he pay for Zhou Ye's mistakes? Why should he sacrifice his future in exchange for Zhou Ye's freedom?

Qin Wan was furious when she saw this. She really couldn't imagine how Zhou Ran, such a good person, could have such a bastard brother.

How could there be such a pair of parents who don’t know what is good for them?

Qin Wan clenched her fists tightly, digging her nails deep into her palms, but she felt no pain. She had only one thought in her mind:

She must let Zhou Ye know that there is a price to pay for doing wrong things. At the same time, she must find a way to help Zhou Ran and not let him be implicated because of his brother's affairs.

When Bai Susu and Qin Jing saw Qin Wan suddenly fall silent, a hint of worry flashed in their eyes.

They didn't know what Qin Wan was thinking, but they knew that Qin Wan would not give up easily because of this matter.

They believe that Qin Wan has enough wisdom and courage to face all difficulties and challenges.
