Chapter 50: The Little White Rabbit with a Guitar and Meat in Its Mouth.

Chapter 50: The Little White Rabbit with a Guitar and Meat in Its Mouth.

Liang Yizhi's voice was muffled by her scarf. She stiffly raised her hand and pulled it down to reveal her face, then tucked the scarf under her chin: "Thanks for reminding me."

Gu Yinyan said, "You can go back now. I'm leaving."

?

She stood there blankly, and said, "Gone?"

"Um."

Gu Yinyan replied casually, "You said you didn't want any special treatment and wanted to keep your distance. So I'm getting ready to leave."

Liang Yizhi stood there, bewildered by his actions.

She had originally thought that if Gu Yinyan continued to press her for details, she could tell him more. After all, this was the first time she had the opportunity to work with someone she had long admired, and she was inevitably feeling uneasy and had many thoughts running through her mind.

But now he's suddenly abandoning her, doing the opposite of what he expected, saying he's leaving.

She had so much to say, but couldn't express it.

Liang Yizhi's lips parted repeatedly as she watched his resolute back as he walked resolutely into the cold wind.

She wrinkled her nose and gave a soft snort.

-

That day, during a break from rehearsals, Liang Yizhi received a message from He Xintu.

He Xintu said that he recently wanted to learn a musical instrument and asked Liang Yizhi if she had any suggestions.

Liang Yizhi was somewhat surprised: "Why do you suddenly want to learn a musical instrument?"

Can you guess what happened?

【Of course it's because of you.】

Liang Yizhi smiled on her end of the phone.

There are many musical instruments, and as for which one to learn, it depends on what you are interested in. After all, sometimes it's about having a connection with a musical instrument.

Liang Yizhi and He Xintu made an appointment to go to a music store together on the weekend.

The music store is located in an alley next to the bustling city center. Surrounded by a dense forest of concrete and steel, this little alley is a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

He Xintu found the music store.

Liang Yizhi followed He Xintu and pushed open the door to enter. The space inside was completely different from the outside. After going up the stairs, the second floor was spacious and bright, with a dazzling array of musical instruments.

Liang Yizhi said, "I never expected that such a large music store would be hidden in such a place."

He Xintu: "I was also very surprised."

The entire second floor was filled with different musical instruments. A whole wall of guitars hung on the wall, each a different color and style. An electric piano was placed in the middle, and there was a drum set in the corner.

The boss stood behind his workbench, seemingly fixing something, and looked up to greet them: "Young men and women, what are you looking at?"

"It's alright, boss, we're just looking around," He Xintu replied.

Liang Yizhi walked up to the electric piano, raised her hand, and pressed a few keys.

For some reason, she remembered that dejected afternoon when Gu Yinyan played the piece for her.

Putting everything else aside, she really liked that piece of music. Its lively timbre and repetitive melody, devoid of any impurities, were simply meant to make her happy.

The notes she pressed happened to be the beginning of that piece of music.

He Xintu walked up to her and asked, "You can play the piano?"

"Yes, my father is a pianist."

He Xintu asked in surprise, "What's your father's name? Perhaps I've heard of him."

"Liang Youde".

He Xintu thought back and realized that he did seem to have seen the name in the news media.

He chuckled softly, "I see. I didn't realize your family background was so outstanding. I should have established a good relationship with you sooner."

Liang Yizhi smiled and said, "Stop talking about me, go and see if there's anything that interests you."

He Xintu slowly strolled past each musical instrument: "How should I put it? I'm quite interested in them all."

Liang Yizhi encouraged him, "Why don't you try them all?"

"OK."

He Xintu walked to the piano again, imitated Liang Yizhi's movements, casually played a few notes, and asked her, "How should I play it? Is this correct?"

Liang Yizhi tilted her head and observed his hand shape: "It's a bit strange. Relax a little, keep your wrist flat, and don't use so much force with your fingers."

Liang Yizhi placed four fingers on his arched wrist, gently pressing down, and then pinched his fingers, which were bent from pressing the keys, and lifted them up a little.

She was focused on correcting his posture when He Xintu suddenly turned his hand over.

With his five fingers pointing upwards, he inserted them between his fingers and held hers.

The piano keys were touched, producing a few strange single notes.

Liang Yizhi's heart skipped a beat.

She glanced quickly at He Xintu and found him looking at her with a smile. He Xintu didn't let go, but gently squeezed her hand.

His fingers clung together for a few seconds before he reluctantly let go.

He Xintu composed himself and gave a casual assessment: "It's too difficult. I'm not very good at it. Let's try another one."

“…Okay.” Liang Yizhi’s heart was still pounding. Taking advantage of He Xintu turning around, she rubbed her palms together.

He Xintu then tried the drum set. He sat in front of the stool, tapped the drumsticks twice, and asked Liang Yizhi what she thought.

Liang Yizhi politely replied, "Very handsome."

"Could you please take a picture for me?"

Liang Yizhi took out her phone and, at He Xintu's request, posed for two photos of him.

Later, he tried several other instruments. In short, he tried many, but He Xintu didn't find one he liked the most.

Liang Yizhi felt that he seemed absent-minded. He didn't seem interested in learning much about the musical instruments. He touched each one once and then quickly gave up.

Liang Yizhi patiently persuaded him, asking, "Why don't you learn guitar? It's really cool for guys to learn guitar."

He Xintu asked, "You think it's cool?"

“Yes.” She enthusiastically recommended it to him. “I’ve always thought playing the guitar was cool, so I learned a little when I was a kid, but I haven’t had much of a chance to play it since I had to practice the cello.”

He Xintu laughed and said, "If that's what you're saying, then I really want to give it a try."

For some reason, perhaps because she wanted to have more in common with him, or perhaps because she was a music student, Liang Yizhi really wanted to recommend He Xintu to learn an instrument and wanted to have more interaction with him.

She suggested to him, "If you're interested, I'll bring you my guitar next time. Try practicing with it first, and then decide whether you want to continue learning."

He Xintu pretended to think for a moment, then asked, "You have a guitar at home?"

Liang Yizhi said, "Yes."

"Then why not seize the day? Can I go and get it today?"

He Xintu said with a smile, "You're more likely to stick with it if you start when your interest is at its peak."

Liang Yizhi had no objection; she was willing to help others whenever possible.

After leaving the music store, they had a meal at a nearby shopping mall and then drove to Liang Yizhi's home.

The car pulled up downstairs.

He Xintu got out of the car with Liang Yizhi and said, "I'll go upstairs with you to get it. The things are heavy, and we can't trouble a girl to run up and down."

Liang Yizhi thought to herself that there was nothing shameful in the house, and she had tidied up before leaving, so it should be fairly clean. She decided to take him upstairs.

After entering the room, Liang Yizhi asked He Xintu to sit on the sofa, poured him a glass of water, and went to the room to get her guitar.

Because she hadn't used it in a long time, she had already put the guitar away in the locker.

This guitar was at best something she used for entertainment, and it wasn't a very expensive model.

She planned to give it directly to He Xintu; she was never stingy with such things for her friends.

Liang Yizhi came out carrying the things, leaned the violin case against the wall, and prepared to take it out to show He Xintu.

She took out the guitar, but didn't notice the figure on the sofa quietly moving behind her.

Liang Yizhi said, "Let me check it first. I haven't used this instrument in a long time. If there are no problems, you can take it with you."

Before she could finish speaking, her wrist was suddenly grabbed and twisted backward.

She was pushed against the wall.

By the time Liang Yizhi realized what had happened, the objects in front of her were already out of focus, and He Xintu's kiss landed on her.

She was so shocked that she forgot to close her eyes, and for a moment she didn't know what to do—whether she should push him away excitedly or accept it calmly.

Liang Yizhi has never had such an experience.

He Xintu's kiss was very light, gently pecking at her lips, stealing the air from her lungs little by little. She even forgot to breathe, only feeling the warmth of his breath on her nose, which felt burning hot.

After about three to five seconds, he released her and placed his hand against the wall near her ear.

He Xintu asked in a low voice, "How do you feel?"

Liang Yizhi was bewildered: "...What do you mean, how?"

He Xintu lifted her chin: "How was the kiss?"

His fingers brushed against her lower lip: "A kiss without having to think twice, does it feel good?"

"I think it's great."

Liang Yizhi was as if under a spell, unable to move.

In the past, she was cautious and never tried to do things that would happen in the future before establishing a relationship with someone.

Liang Yizhi said tremblingly, "We...aren't we here to get the violin?"

Hearing this, He Xintu couldn't help but laugh out loud. Her slightly curved, smiling eyes were like the talking moon in the sky: "You're so cute."

Liang Yizhi blinked blankly, the blinking almost in sync with her heartbeat.

She hasn't recovered yet.

He Xintu said, "I'm still waiting for your reply to the last invitation. I originally thought you wanted to just let it go."

"But you said you invited me to your house, didn't that mean you accepted my invitation? I thought that was just a subtext between us."

He said, "Girls are always shy about talking about these things, so it's best to leave them to men."

This is a huge misunderstanding.

She swore that when she thought about getting the violin, she didn't even consider that possibility.

Leung Yik-chi retorted, "No, I didn't say I'd bring it to you next time!"

He Xintu: "But what can I do? I don't want to wait any longer."

The room was draped with sheer curtains, and the sunlight streamed in, but couldn't penetrate this ambiguous corner.

“My problem is long gone.” He Xintu moved closer to her, his fluffy curly hair sticking to her forehead. He grabbed her wrist and slid it down, squeezing her fingers in his hand again and again.

He said, "What does your room look like? Can you show me around?"

If it were before, Liang Yizhi might have genuinely thought he was asking about her bedroom's decorating style, but now she understood that she had to think more deeply about his words.

So Liang Yizhi paused for a moment.

After getting very close, He Xintu seemed to want to kiss her again, but Liang Yizhi suddenly raised her hand and blocked his lips.

A hint of impatience and doubt instantly flashed across He Xintu's brow.

Liang Yizhi looked at him, calmed down, and said, "What you're doing is wrong."

"You're the one asking me out now. So, you need my permission first."

After hearing this, He Xintu was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.

"Of course. And what's your opinion?"

"Give me a few more days," Liang Yizhi said. "Once I'm sure I want to start our relationship, I'll take the initiative to find you."

He Xintu raised an eyebrow with amusement.

Liang Yizhi's sudden change in attitude surprised him.

One day, the little white rabbit, who had always been guided by him, suddenly brought him a piece of meat. Changing its usual docile demeanor, it arrogantly said to him: "You have to listen to me from now on before I can give you this piece of meat."

The shift in initiative temporarily alleviated the monotony and boredom.

He Xintu relaxed his brows and smiled, saying, "No problem, but don't keep me waiting too long."

Liang Yizhi nodded.
