The suffocating sense of oppression lasted for more than ten seconds until the echo of the sound disappeared, and people finally relaxed.
One type of passenger on the train was completely at a loss as to how to deal with the situation. Karina and Nova were also somewhat bewildered. People stood up from their seats and looked at the other passengers.
It was as if they were searching for the "keyhole" that the unknown voice had mentioned.
The pronunciation was very difficult to pronounce and was actually closer to the classical Celtic language, but no one present understood it. Most people in the carriage only heard the tone and roughly knew that it was a person's name.
Outside, crows flew around like madmen, shrouding the train like a black cloud.
"Get out of my way!"
A thunderous roar echoed through the air, and the entire train began to shake.
"Bang~" "Bang~" "Bang~" "Bang~"
Many car windows were shattered.
All the passengers on the train covered their ears in pain as countless shards of glass shattered and splashed onto those near the windows.
Karina held Nova tightly in her arms and leaned down to shield him beneath her.
Large flocks of crows outside seemed to be blown away by a strong wind, like fallen leaves, or rather, shaken away in large numbers.
Countless black feathers fell from the sky, drifting into each carriage through the shattered window holes.
Before people could even react, the entire train emitted a piercing "squeak~~~~~~~~" sound.
Passengers were thrown forward by the enormous inertia, and those standing in the aisle lost their balance and fell. Some passengers who were taking pictures with their phones also lost their grip due to the tilt and inertia, causing their phones to fly away.
The train driver applied the emergency brakes, locking all the wheels.
Screams, cries of pain, and shouts filled the air.
Train attendants had already called the police, but the oppressive atmosphere in the sky grew stronger.
"Boom!"
The railway tracks ahead exploded with a loud bang, creating a crater more than ten meters wide and half a meter deep on the tracks.
The train, which had already slowed down to a certain extent, could not stop and plunged into the pit, its engine coming to a stop against the pit wall.
The following carriages reacted in a chain reaction, all crowding onto the tracks and coming to a sudden stop.
Some unfortunate passengers had just stood up when they were flung away by the even greater inertia.
Karina and Nova were lucky; they didn't leave their seats, so they only bumped into the back of their seats.
The carriage was in complete chaos, filled with cries of agony. Someone pulled the emergency brake and opened the doors, and everyone rushed off the train, some even using the shattered windows to get out.
The entire train was lined with passengers whose clothes were disheveled and some even had scratches and bloodstains.
Even though it was a cloudy day, specks of golden light were scattered from the sky.
"Look at the sky!"
Someone shouted, and all the passengers looked up at the sky, then fell silent and opened their mouths wide involuntarily.
A spear, a golden spear, a huge spear.
It emitted specks of golden light, stretching from the high heavens all the way down to the low sky near the ground.
At the end of the spear, a woman with long black hair and wearing a sleeveless robe hovered in the air. Apart from her face, which was not clearly visible due to the height, the most conspicuous thing was her pair of outstretched wings.
It was a pair of black wings, but it didn't flap up or down while it was in the air, as if gravity didn't exist.
The spear was at least tens of meters long, but the woman's figure was no different from that of an ordinary person. However, her outstretched right arm, which was loosely clenched, gave people a strong feeling of holding a spear.
She hovered in the air with her head down and eyes closed, emanating a powerful yet sacred aura.
"This is... an angel?"
"Her wings are black! Could she be a fallen angel?"
"Oh God..."
"Who can take pictures anymore? My phone just broke!"
"Mine too."
...
The crowd's arguments and noise lasted only a moment. The instant the woman, who appeared to be a fallen angel, opened her eyes, they all fell silent, as if they had been deprived of the right to speak.
"Keyhole!! Found you."
The first noun still carries emotion, but the second half of the sentence reveals a cold indifference.
Karina felt an overwhelming sense of oppression, far exceeding that of the other passengers, as the tip of the giant golden spear was pointed directly at them.
No, I should say I'm referring to Nova!
She glanced with difficulty at the spear that seemed ready to strike at any moment, then looked down at Nova, only to find him looking at the sky with curiosity as if nothing had happened.
It's as if those pressures that make people almost unable to move don't exist at all.
"Die again!"
The roar exploded again, and the gravel on the ground and beside the railway tracks flew like a gust of wind.
Karina's pupils contracted as she saw the giant golden spear shooting down from the sky, its target being her and Nova's location.
There's absolutely no way to avoid it!
This idea came to mind for anyone who saw the spear.
The air howled violently, and illusory golden flames appeared on both sides of the Sky Spear.
An endless stream of air emanated from Karina and Nova, spreading outwards. Karina felt as if all the bones in her body were about to fall apart, but Nova's small body supported the two of them, preventing Karina from being directly crushed to the ground like the other passengers.
But that was all. Time seemed to slow down as Karina held Nova tightly, watching the spear tip approach frame by frame.
She did consider abandoning the child she had just met and running away alone, but she didn't mention the self-reproach. After getting off the train, she couldn't even move.
Goodbye, Jeremy!
A point of deep blue light suddenly appeared before my eyes and quickly grew larger and brighter.
"Bang!"
"Boom!"
The spear seemed to strike something, producing a violent explosion. The ground where Karina and Nova were standing sank into a large crater, and several carriages of the train next to them were blown away.
In their line of sight, countless crows swarmed over, landing beside Karina and Nova.
Karina felt as if her clothes and even her hair were being gripped by a sharp bird's beak, and she felt a sense of weightlessness as she was lifted off the ground.
All she could see was black, and she couldn't see the road. She only knew that about ten seconds later, a louder explosion came from behind her.
"Boom~~~~"
Those who were still conscious instantly went deaf, and the buzzing in their ears was as chaotic as the noise in their eyes.
The gale swept wildly in all directions, uprooting some large trees along the railway and blowing countless passengers away like balloons.
Karina and Nova felt a violent shockwave coming from behind, which sent countless crows flying around them.
Ah~~~~
Karina screamed and tumbled to the ground with Nova, surrounded by a shower of falling crow feathers.
Many crows fell to the ground, struggling to take flight.
Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she turned to look behind her.
Where's the train? Where's the railway? That's... What?
A massive, sinkhole-like hole appeared where the train should have been parked and broken down. It was at least half a mile in diameter, and from this angle, the bottom was completely invisible.
The edge of the pit was less than 100 meters away from them, and there were many passengers around the pit, some screaming in pain and others motionless, whether unconscious or dead, it was unclear.
Between them and the sinkhole, a group of people dressed in gray or black robes had appeared at some point.
The air above them was distorted, a pale blue hue with star-like particles permeating the atmosphere.
They looked up at a spot in the sky.
It was only then that Karina realized that the culprit behind all this was still around.
Sure enough, the woman who looked like a fallen angel remained suspended in place, but her gaze shifted from Nova to the robed monsters.
"Merlin, this is none of your business. Get out of here now, and I might let you go!"
Merlin?
Karina and Nova both felt a sudden jolt in their hearts.
An old voice rang out slowly and deliberately, as if telling a story to a child.
"Lady Morian! Your grudge with Lord Keyhole is actually..."
"Shut up!! It's none of your business, junior, to tell me what to do!"
"Rumble~~"
Thunder roared and lightning flashed wildly in the gloomy sky.
P.S.: By now, many of you should be able to guess some of the grudges, especially those who have played Fallen Angels; you probably can't forget Kadan and Tyr, the Demon God's Lockhole and the Goddess Morian, right?
