The cawing of the crows seemed to have a magical power, drawing everyone's attention, even Bowen, who was in a berserk state.
A large white bird had landed on the corridor where Bowen had just sat. The stone walls and windows, along with the electric lights that illuminated the renovated castle, made the place not dark.
This big bird looks a bit strange, like a crow or a myna, but it's pure white and a size bigger. It definitely can't be a pigeon.
The children around were probably frightened by Bowen's earlier appearance, and now they stared at the bird in complete silence.
It looked left and right on the ground, and circled around Bowen a few times.
Then, as if by magic, it pulled a letter covered with mysterious patterns from under its wing.
In today's society, various things such as fantasy species, energy-controlling species, immortal species, and energy species are emerging one after another, making it easy for such a crow to be associated with some special events.
Bowen's heart was pounding; he had already seen the sealing wax on the envelope and the mysteriously colored characters.
'To Mr. Bowen Grove.'
Scenes from Harry Potter kept playing in my mind.
He nervously took the letter from the bird's beak, glanced at the crow, and eagerly yet carefully began to open the letter.
In this day and age, no one uses paper letters anymore, and sealing wax is an ancient thing. Bowen didn't want to damage the beautiful envelope, so he opened it rather slowly.
The school teachers who had heard the sound of shattering glass and shouting rushed over, but once they arrived, they were caught up in the atmosphere and stood quietly outside watching the scene unfold.
With a soft "pop," the sealing wax came off and was caught accurately by Bowen, and the letter slowly opened by itself.
A bluish sheen, like powder, emanated from the envelope.
Then a piece of paper with blue light shimmering on it flew out on its own, and more and more blue light emanated from the words on the paper, slowly forming a figure in the air.
A young, handsome man was wearing a black robe but no hat.
“Bowen Gru, what you just did was very dangerous. I think you really need to learn how to control and develop this power for the right purpose.”
"Now, let's get back to the main topic. I, Nova Sokry, a disciple of Archmage Merlin, on behalf of Deep Blue Magic School, extend an invitation to Mr. Bowen Gru to enroll. Would you accept?"
Bowen, breathing rapidly, answered without hesitation, "I accept! I accept!"
The figure that materialized from the letter seemed to be used to such scenes, nodding and smiling.
"Okay, the details and precautions are in the letter. You can take your time to read them later. British officials will come to your home within three days to assist you with your enrollment. I hope you have a pleasant experience, Mr. Gru."
The figure disappeared, and the blue light retreated back into the letter.
The entire letter flew back into Bowen's hands.
Ah~
The white raven cawed once, flapped its wings at Bowen, and then flew away through the broken window.
That evening, the Gru family went out for a lavish French dinner.
The news that Robert's Private School had produced a prospective magician quickly spread throughout the school, from the students to their parents, and then from the parents to their social circles.
Robert, the honorary principal and founder, made a special trip from London by private jet to visit the Gru family in person and arranged a large "scholarship" for Bowen in the name of the school.
It's simply a reasonable request that my school record and publicize this matter on the school's bulletin board.
Although the letter said it would be within three days, Mr. Gru actually received a call from British officials that very evening, saying they would come to the Gru family's house as soon as it was convenient for them the next day or the day after.
Amidst excited anticipation, the planned shopping trip to the alleyway didn't happen. The school would provide the textbooks and other supplies, so Bowen only needed to bring some changes of clothes.
However, the way they got to school was even more amazing than in Harry Potter.
Five days later, in the early morning, Bowen and a group of children of similar age were gathered at a manor on the outskirts of London, surrounded by some British government officials.
There were about forty or fifty children in the group, all of whom had qualified for admission to a magic school in the UK and agreed to go there.
Here, Bowen changed from his previous introverted self to a lively and cheerful one, quickly becoming friends with the children around him and excitedly discussing his future life learning magic.
Do you think the magic school will be like the one in Harry Potter?
"That's in the movies, the real thing is definitely cooler!"
Bowen answered excitedly.
"I heard that magic schools aren't on Earth. Someone has analyzed it and found that countless people have searched for them but haven't been able to find them!"
Bowen immediately and hurriedly replied.
"Let me correct you, it should be outside the surface of Earth, but I think it's also possible that it's in some kind of illusion. By the way, you know, I once saw a very strange magical creature when I was having a nightmare. It ate my nightmare, and I haven't had that recurring nightmare since."
The children nearby were immediately drawn to what Bowen was saying.
A little girl, full of curiosity, asked questions very quickly.
"Is Bowen real? Did you really see it? My cousin is an administrator of a forum for researching magical races. They have long suspected the existence of magical creatures that live in dreams on Earth, but they have never been able to get concrete evidence."
"Oh? This creature hasn't been publicly reported before?"
"No, there's no information about it, but many people have raised this idea and question, and some people have even claimed to have felt its existence in their dreams, but no one has ever seen it."
"Yes, once you wake up, you're not even sure what you're dreaming about..."
Bowen laughed out loud.
"I remember it very clearly. That magical creature had a long, droopy nose, a bit like a tapir, but the rest of its body was completely different, and it kept changing colors, but it was very cute!"
As the little girl listened, she typed the text into her phone and sent it to her cousin.
Here, everyone shares a common language and has finally found their own "circle of friends".
The MI6 personnel on the perimeter, watching these energetic children, wore knowing smiles, along with a touch of envy.
Just as everyone was getting into a great mood, a roar that sounded like both an eagle and a lion came from the sky.
One wave after another.
Twenty majestic, powerful, and robust winged beasts flew in from the sky, already stirring up a gust of wind on the ground.
"Aaaaaah!!! It's a griffin! A live griffin!!"
"Great! We're going to be griffins!"
"Oh my god, am I dreaming?"
...
On the back of the foremost griffin sat a gray-robed mage.
"Kids, three of you will ride in one glider. There are cushions on it. Although the griffin won't make you fall off, don't make any big movements in the air... Yes, yes, yes... Hey, hey, don't pluck the griffin's feathers, it will get angry! And don't pull its tail either..."
The mage leading the group was an outstanding student who graduated five years ago and is now a magic teacher. At this moment, he covered his forehead and kept sighing in his heart.
"Sigh, kids these days are getting bolder and bolder. Back in our day, we wouldn't even dare touch a griffin..."
With envy, the MI6 staff watched the griffins depart.
...
Three hours later, the griffin had flown over the forest outside Edinburgh and at one point passed through something that looked like a curtain of water, instantly changing the scene below.
The entire forest instantly took on a fantastical appearance, and in the distance, a Gothic-style yet exceptionally grand building came into view.
Occasionally, one can see unfamiliar creatures running through the forest, and huge statues of sword-wielding guards surround the school.
