Chapter 193 Your problem is serious

Lovett began to wonder if he was possessed.

Looking up at the sky, patches of dark clouds obscured the stars and moon, yet it wasn't raining, making the scene exceptionally gloomy.

What did I do during the day? Why was the appointment time changed to the evening?

It seems like I just lazily lay in my apartment all day.

After the inspection and the argument with the people inside, it was already dark.

Thankfully, this private clinic is always open day and night, otherwise I would have had to reschedule for tomorrow.

"Coo coo~~"

A wave of hunger washed over me.

But Lovett was hesitant to go out for a meal.

Yesterday's overeating caused my stomach to feel very uncomfortable, which was the only slightly flawed part of the examination, but it was just a minor issue.

Lovett had little appetite for breakfast and lunch; he simply drank some warm milk and ate some biscuits.

Now that I feel like eating, I'm a little hesitant to go out to eat, afraid that I might binge eat like I did the day before.

Lovett hesitated for a moment, then reached out and flagged down a car on the street outside the hospital.

Should we call that weirdo named Sora?

"Sir, are you leaving or not?"

Lovett then realized that a taxi had stopped next to him sometime earlier.

"Let's go, of course we'll go."

Lovett quickly got into a taxi.

"Go to 1130 Queen's Road."

After saying that, Lovett took out his phone and pulled out the crumpled business card from his pocket. He decided to make the call anyway.

"Beep...beep...beep..."

The phone number on the other end didn't ring at all; it rang a few times before being answered.

"Hello, this is Sora."

"Uh... Mr. Sora, I'm Lovett, do you remember me?"

Saraso was standing on the roof of the apartment building at 1130 Queen Road.

"Yes, Mr. Lovett, I've been waiting for your call. If it's convenient for you, I can come to you right away."

Lovett remained cautious.

"Excuse me, Mr. Sora, what exactly do you do, and how did you know I've been acting strangely lately?"

"Well, it's not that I can't answer that, but you might not believe me if I tell you. Just think of me as one of those popular spiritual mediums these days."

Lovett thought about it and realized that his situation did indeed have a supernatural element to it. Since he had already tried scientific methods, he might as well try something else.

“Okay, thank you, Mr. Sora. I live at 809, 8th floor, 1130 Queen’s Road. Just tell the building manager my name.”

Saraso smiled from the rooftop.

"Sure, I happen to be not far from there. I'll be there in about twenty minutes. If you're worried, you can bring a friend with you."

"Okay, I'll be waiting for you."

Sitting in the taxi, Lovett calculated the time and figured he would be home 10 minutes early.

As for whether to ask his friends to come over, he thought about it and decided against it. The other party obviously already knew about him, and if they wanted to deal with him, they could easily find an opportunity.

When he got home, Lovett couldn't resist his hunger, so he took out a fast food meal from the refrigerator and planned to heat it up in the microwave.

However, just two seconds later he opened the refrigerator again, which had already been closed, and took out another portion from inside.

I put the two large-sized instant food containers in the microwave and heated them for a short time.

"Ding-dong~"

The doorbell rang.

Lovett looked through the peephole and saw that it was indeed the man.

Open the door and let him in, while the microwave oven beeped.

When I came out with two portions of fast food, the man named Sora was already sitting on a single sofa, looking around as if checking something.

“Mr. Sora, it’s lunchtime now. If you haven’t eaten yet, I happen to have one left.”

"No need, I ate before I came. You can talk to me about your things while you eat."

Lovett felt that his hunger had intensified since the man named Sora came in, and he no longer cared about his pitiful modesty.

He simply peeled off the foil lid, picked up a spoon, and started eating.

This is a large box of Chinese fried rice; even a giant like an NBA spherical figure could eat his fill in one go.

Mr. Sora casually glanced at his phone before turning to Lovett.

"Lovit, if I'm not mistaken, have you recently been having some kind of ambiguous relationship with someone you're not entirely willing to date?"

Lovett scooped up two large mouthfuls of rice, chewing as he nodded in agreement, his words slightly slurred.

"Hmm...yes..."

Then he saw Mr. Sora tapping on his phone a few times.

"It's nothing serious, Lovett. As long as you cooperate with me, I can solve it for you in a day or two. But the condition is that you mustn't tell anyone."

Lovett swallowed a large mouthful of rice with difficulty, resisting the urge to immediately spoon in another bite.

"No money? You just want me to keep it a secret?"

"Yes, of course. You are somewhat of an astronomy researcher, so we can ask you to be our consultant if we have any questions in this area."

Lovett took this as a polite remark, but he was genuinely curious about the other person's motives. In today's society, how many people do good deeds for no reason?

Moreover, the other party also said that they had noticed their situation before.

Even if someone is a medium, they probably charge money, right? But since the other person said they didn't want it, Lovett wouldn't force it on them.

"No problem, how do I need to cooperate?"

After saying that, Lovett ate the last spoonful of his meal, then grabbed another large portion, tore open the foil on top, and scooped out a big spoonful.

Sora glanced at the empty plate of food, then watched Lovett devour another plate as if he hadn't eaten anything.

His brows gradually furrowed.

“Lovitt, forgive my bluntness, but your size doesn’t quite match your appetite, if that’s how you usually eat.”

Lovett chewed a few times and swallowed the food in his mouth, then picked up the cola on the table and gulped down a big mouthful.

"I was just about to tell you. Yesterday, I inexplicably went to a restaurant and ate food meant for six or seven people. I almost ate myself to death."

Lovett noticed that Sora, who had been sitting casually to the side, gradually sat up straight, but he didn't pay attention and continued talking.

"I went to a pretty well-known private clinic for a checkup this evening, and you know what? It cost me over $1,000."

As he spoke, Lovett's expression turned ferocious.

"But that damn doctor actually said my biggest problem might be here."

Lovett tapped his head.

"That damn bastard actually thinks I'm mentally ill!"

Lovett grew angrier and angrier as he spoke, and even the rice grains at the corners of his mouth were spat out in his agitation.

"And those nurses, those patients with mocking faces, and that impatient taxi driver!!!"

"Bang!"

Lovett slammed the Coke can against the wall as he spoke.

Sora became nervous in the face of Lovett's sudden outburst of rage.

"Calm down! Mr. Lovett! Please calm down!"

Sora no longer felt the ease she had when she first arrived; instead, she seemed to be facing a formidable enemy.

Lovett could clearly see large beads of sweat rapidly seeping out of the other person's forehead and cheeks, as if by magic.

Only then did he realize his lapse in composure.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Sora, did I scare you? I'm not usually like this, but I don't know why I've been so easily angered these past few days."

After apologizing, Lovett shoved the spoon into the fast food container again, shoveling fried rice into his mouth.

"Gurgle~"

Sora swallowed hard, watching him devour his food like a starving dog that hadn't missed a meal.

“Mr. Lovett, I think your problem is serious…”
