Chapter 264 The Opportunity to Seize the Initiative

Hearing Lucy's words, Reagan felt a mixture of resentment and excitement.

"If druids really exist, if magic really exists, if demons really exist, then what about God? Does an omnipotent God really exist?"

"God certainly exists, there's no doubt about that!"

James is a devout Christian, and when faced with a question like Reagan's, he didn't hesitate to affirm this point.

“Reagan, you have to understand, I’ve been working for the CIA for almost ten years. During that time, I’ve been on many dangerous missions, and twice I’ve even lost my life, but I’ve survived them. If it weren’t for God’s blessing, I wouldn’t believe there’s any other explanation.”

Upon hearing James's words, George added quietly.

"Um...but James, Wood was also a devout Christian, and he just died in the line of duty last month..."

James wanted to point out that Wood's piety might not be enough, but it was extremely impolite to slander a dead person in this way, and it went against the Lord's teachings, so he could only remain silent.

"Knock knock knock..."

A knock came at the door.

“Mr. Reagan, are you there? I see the door to that room is open.”

Upon hearing the voice of the hotel owner, Miso, Lucy quickly whispered to her companions, especially Reagan.

"The hospital is full. A doctor will come to give us a preliminary check-up. As long as we appear to be fine, we can head to the airport afterward."

Reagan, James, and George all nodded in understanding.

Lucy was the first to wake up, so she already knew the process. The first batch of local residents were sent to the hospital, and the test results showed that there were no major problems. Since the hospital was already full, the rest of the people waited at home for the doctor to come and check them.

Reagan gestured to his companion to tidy up the binoculars, cameras, and other equipment in the room, then rubbed his face and roused himself to open the door.

I opened the door only after my companion gave me an "OK" sign.

“Mr. Miso, we’re all here. What happened last night was quite frightening, so we think it’s safer to stay together.”

Miso stood at the doorway, looked into the room, and nodded.

"Yes, everyone in half the district heard those sounds last night. By the way, Mr. Reagan, someone will be here in five minutes to do some basic checks on you. If you feel unwell, please let me know. Please get ready."

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Miso."

At this moment, a cacophony of noises began to come from outside, as if a large number of people were gathering.

Faintly, one could hear chants like "Long live the Druids..." and "The glory of the Celts..."

Sounds like "Nature's rage..."

"What's all that noise?"

Reagan asked Miso a question.

"It was a Druidic gathering. News of last night's events has spread throughout Dublin and even the whole of Ireland."

"It is said that countless Druids and monks are heading this way. I thought they would arrive at least in the afternoon, but I didn't expect them to have arrived already."

George walked to the window and looked out. A large number of Druids were wearing retro robes painted with traditional Pegasus and oak leaves. Several monks called "Druids" also wore round-headed crosses around their necks, which were thicker at the edges and narrower at the inside than those in Christianity.

The word druid originally means "one who knows the oak tree," or it can be translated as "oak sage."

The legendary Druid's house in Dublin actually belonged to an ancient Druid, but before that, these believers had never imagined that the oak tree was actually a Druid.

This still greatly excited countless Druids.

Although the monks in those religions were nominally called druids, they were clearly far removed from the druids described in the doctrines who could communicate with the gods.

The shouts and sirens of the police could be heard downstairs, silencing the crowd. Fortunately, the Druids were not like some radicals in Islam; they still valued nature and peace. They were just too excited, which is why they were so agitated.

This is the only "miracle" to be manifested in any religion in the world today.

With the police's persuasion, order was quickly restored at the scene, so as not to delay the doctors' treatment.

Less than five minutes after Miso left, two doctors came over, greeting people outside in Irish with a Dublin accent. Once inside the room, the four of them were a little confused and switched to English.

However, Reagan's pupils contracted the moment the "doctor" entered the room.

Because he recognized one of them; it was the unconscious Englishman from whom he had stolen the branch the night before.

It's clear that the doctor examining the patient is a British agent in disguise, and his purpose is most likely related to that tree branch.

Upon closer observation, it was indeed found that the two doctors did not look too well. However, if one had not noticed it, an ordinary person would have just assumed that they were too busy to get any rest, since they probably started running around in the middle of the night.

Reagan was unsure how the British had disguised themselves as doctors. After all, this bordered Northern Ireland, so it wouldn't have been difficult for them to do so. His side absolutely could not give themselves away.

As Dr. Ying entered, she subtly winked at her companions, and the other three instantly understood.

The four Americans then behaved like any ordinary tourist.

Besides complaining during the examination, the fake doctors, driven by intense curiosity, kept asking the doctors if the druid stories outside were true, which annoyed both of them.

The two British agents were medically literate, and their examinations were no worse than those of professional doctors. Except for Reagan, who was slightly weak, the other three were in good condition, basically like local residents.

In an effort to clear themselves of suspicion, Reagan and his three companions requested further examinations at a hospital after their initial check-up. However, they were told that the hospital was overwhelmed and that if they had any concerns, they should travel to another city or return for further examinations.

In the afternoon, when Reagan and his three companions were finally seated on the private plane arranged by their own personnel at the airport, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Four brand-new mobile phones were delivered to them.

After the plane took off and left Irish airspace, Reagan, sipping chilled champagne, dialed his superior at the CIA.

"Sir, the target's strength is far beyond our imagination, but we're luckier than the British. We brought back something that interests the higher-ups. Please prepare our victory celebration!"

What did you bring back?

The officer on the phone sounded puzzled in his calm voice, and then added a sentence.

Are the news reports circulating online about the rise of the Celtics and the power of the Druids true? Are those aerial photos filled with craters actually of the scene?

Reagan glanced at the briefcase at his feet, which contained the three most important things.

The first thing was that branch and leaf, the second thing was that USB drive containing video recordings, and the third thing was that small jar of blood.

The order of importance is also based on the sequence, because even if the owner of that bottle of blood was once possessed by a demon's projection, now it is at most a bottle of ordinary human blood, and of course, mutations cannot be ruled out.

But the branches and the videos on the USB drive are real, especially the branches that the four of them couldn't tear off even a single leaf from despite their best efforts.

After carefully considering his words, Reagan spoke into the phone.

"Sir, I can tell you with certainty that those things are true, and what we bring is an opportunity to persuade the congressmen and the president, and to give America a head start."
