Chapter Twenty-Six: Lightning and Whirlwind

In the evening, Wu You felt itchy all over and couldn't help but sit up.

Garurugi, standing nearby, immediately let out a low growl.

Wu You paused for a moment, then looked around at the furnishings and realized that he was already back.

"Wu boy, you're awake?" Bai Yanxi saw Wu You sitting up as soon as he came in.

How long did I sleep?

"You should ask how long you were unconscious. No more, no less, exactly 4 hours."

"How are you feeling? Are your muscles and bones sore?"

Wu You knew that Bai Yanxi was a skilled doctor, so he twisted his body to feel it.

"Aside from being a little itchy, I feel fine."

Bai Yanxi nodded: "Thanks to the miraculous effect of the Rejuvenating Ointment, otherwise, with your previous injuries, you would have had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment."

Wu You's eyes lit up when he heard this: "Old Bai, the Rejuvenating Ointment is finished?"

"Yes, it's done. Otherwise, why do you think your injury healed so quickly? Those two mountain king chickens only took three hours to partially heal their fractures."

Bai Yanxi was also greatly comforted when he mentioned the Rejuvenating Ointment, but he quickly changed the subject.

"Young Wu, who exactly are you? What happened to all those injuries? Those claw wounds were just two inches deep enough to reach the bone, and those dense bite marks...did you go and feed the mermaids?"

"Even your bodyguard Garuru, why is he roaring like a tiger?"

Wu You suppressed his surprise and stared calmly at Bai Yanxi for more than ten seconds, while the latter did not try to avoid him.

"Mr. Bai, you probably wouldn't believe me if I said I was just an ordinary person now."

"Actually, I don't know what I am either. I can enter and exit realms that ordinary people cannot, and I can subdue strange beasts that ordinary people cannot even imagine." Wu You did not say "creation", but changed his words.

Bai Yanxi was getting restless when he heard this. He wanted to say, "Stop lying to this old man," but he couldn't bring himself to say it.

"You must be wondering why Xiang Biao and Wang Dong treat me this way, right?"

Before Bai Yanxi could answer, Wu You continued speaking on his own.

“Because they’ve seen it.” Turning to Lion-Faced King Kong: “To correct you, what you heard wasn’t a tiger’s roar, but a lion’s roar. Garuru, return to your original form.”

Sitting on a chair by the bed, with his back to Garuru, Bai Yanxi heard a creaking sound of bones and muscles rubbing against each other behind him.

Instinctively, Bai Yanxi felt the hairs on the back of his head standing on end.

He glanced at Wu You as if to confirm, and the latter nodded at him.

He slowly turned his head.

Even though I was mentally prepared.

But when Bai Yanxi saw the Lion-faced Vajra's grotesque appearance and met its amber vertical pupils, his breath seemed to stop as if it had been choked.

This kind of fear is impossible for those who haven't experienced it firsthand to understand. But you can imagine putting yourself in a cage with a fully grown male lion and amplifying that fear tenfold. That's basically what Bai Lao and Xiang Biao felt when they saw Garuru.

Wu You clearly saw that the Tai Chi uniform on the old man's back was quickly soaked, and knew that he should not stimulate the old man too much.

"Garuru, transform into human form."

After a short while, Lion-faced King Kong reverted to his fierce bodyguard appearance, but after the transformation and change of his physique, his expensive custom-made suit was almost completely ruined.

Bai Yanxi took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, repeating this three times before he finally spoke.

"Kid Wu, I didn't die in jail or a garbage dump, but you almost scared me to death."

Wu You waited for him to calm down before smiling and saying, "So where do you think the herbs for the Rejuvenating Ointment came from? But I hope Elder Bai can keep this a secret, and I believe you're not a big mouth."

Bai Yanxi instantly realized that these things were indeed not things that should exist in the human world, and his gaze towards Wu You changed.

...

After resting for a while, Wu You got out of bed and went upstairs. He took off his clothes and looked at himself in the large mirror on the wardrobe in his room.

The Rejuvenating Ointment is extremely effective. Even though it was originally intended to treat bone injuries and mental ailments, its effects on physical injuries are also remarkable.

His body was covered with scabs of all sizes; the smaller ones fell off with the slightest touch, revealing the tender, pink new skin underneath.

Only a few hours have passed. I believe that by dawn, apart from some scars left by the major injury, everything else will be basically intact.

It was just getting dark. After several life-or-death battles at the Beast Mountain, everyone was starving. However, Wu You was the only one in the family with decent cooking skills, so the task of cooking fell to the sick man.

He devoured his usual double portion of food in no time, then sat comfortably in his chair, the dangers of Longevity Mountain gradually subsiding in his heart.

But he will never forget his scarred left eye.

...

Elderly people usually go to bed early, and Bai Yanxi is no exception; he returned to his room to rest before 9 p.m.

Wu You went out and walked to the Qinglong River, which was not far away.

Select Summon: Thunder Azure Dragon Ao Guang

Covered in a highly three-dimensional, black, sand-like sheen, the shadow of a massive, serpentine creature appeared on the surface of the Azure Dragon River.

The moment the Azure Dragon appeared, the water on the river surface seemed to tremble, stirring up a brief ripple.

It did not fall completely into the water, but remained mostly above the surface.

Its body, as thick as a car tire, shows its size; its claws, which tread on the water, proclaim its identity; and as its whiskers sway, the dragon slowly lowers its head.

Just like when Garurugi first appeared, he calmly gazed at Wu You.

But Wu You felt no fear.

This is the Azure Dragon, the creature I created!

But before Wu You could give the order, the Azure Dragon Ao Guang suddenly raised its head and looked up at the sky.

A deafening roar of thunder echoed from the sky.

Thick, leaden clouds had somehow settled in the once clear night sky, with streaks of lightning flashing across them.

The wind around them gradually grew stronger, making Wu You unsteady on his feet. The waves in the river seemed to be being pounded up and down by an invisible hand.

Hint: The critically endangered beast, Thunder Azure Dragon Ao Guang, is about to undergo a metamorphosis, and the process of attracting natural energy for tempering has begun.

Wu You suddenly realized why Ao Guang didn't have any training options and only displayed the word "critical".

Does creating critical organisms directly not require mortal energy materials?

But the thunderclouds on the horizon pressed lower and lower, and the wind grew so strong that Wu You needed Garuru to steady him. He could even hear the sound of some windows shattering in the village.

It seems that once the transformation to the mortal realm begins, it will be an irreversible process.

“Ao Guang, follow the Qinglong River to the depths of Shiniu Mountain for transformation.”

Arcs of electricity crackled across the Azure Dragon's massive body. Moments later, it seemed to float on the river's surface as if weightless, then thrashed and swam along the river toward the depths of the mountains.

Its body, which is over twenty meters long, and its giant tail occasionally touch the water's surface, creating waves that are seven or eight meters high.

Watching the Azure Dragon disappear from sight, Wu You wanted to go and witness this transformation process, which was very similar to the tribulation in mythology, but the raging lightning in the sky and the hurricane that had turned into a tornado forced him to stop.

The rain, as heavy as splashed ink, poured down.

"Sizzle...crack!" The lightning began to strike, forming chains of electric light that stretched into the depths of the mountain in Wu You's vision.
