Chapter 422 Wu You's Cat

When the world returned to normal, a large number of high-level alchemical beings sent their consciousness waves to inquire.

Wu You's feedback was also received from the ancient tree immediately.

That vague feeling was extremely dangerous, so all alchemical creatures, especially those in outer space, should prepare themselves to be teleported directly to some newly opened alternate dimensions using psionic spirits and magic networks if necessary.

The wisdom and outstanding individuals born from the vast human population should not be underestimated. Some of these people, who are both scientifically astute and rational in their actions, soon began to have doubts about some of the things that happened before.

The most obvious examples are some mathematical researchers and observational workers.

They often continuously record research findings and data, rather than verifying or comparing previous results.

Many scientists have discovered, when comparing data from a previous period, that there were several minutes of data that showed unusual and irregular changes, while they themselves believed that the data they recorded at that time was correct.

However, from a rational analytical perspective, the data before and after the comparison with previous records does not match at all, and can even be described as somewhat absurd.

One or two incidents might be accidental and due to my own whims, but when joking with friends or sharing and exchanging ideas on science forums, I discovered more and more "accidents" from that period of time.

This is a very interesting topic: why did the error occur even though no one was subjectively aware of it, and why did it all occur within that one time period?

However, not long after the research began, explanatory documents from above were sent to the institutions researching this type of information to prevent them from wasting resources on delving into those ten-odd minutes as if they were some new law of the universe.

Only a few elites and high-ranking members of humanity understood that a suspected former enemy of Earth had appeared. This was not a small fry like the aberrant creatures they had encountered before, but a being that could pose a threat to Earth.

The timeframe was that "chaotic 14 minutes".

The power of observers and prophets has hidden the Earth and even the entire solar system, concealing them in a magical state that is neither in the past, nor in the future, nor in the present. Therefore, during this period, things that deviate from the usual patterns will happen in the solar system and on Earth, but in essence, they will not have any impact on life.

But Earth and the solar system could be hidden, but other planets within our sphere of influence couldn't. At least during those ten-odd minutes, those planets weren't hidden, and it's unknown whether they were discovered.

Although the higher-level beings on those planets did not perceive any special fluctuations, this does not rule out the possibility that their perception capabilities were insufficient.

In short, following this incident, the World Tree Council held a brief but focused meeting, after which it issued a yellow alert to all Earth-based or quasi-Earth-based planets.

It requires Earth beings on it to move closer to the nearest higher life form if necessary, and they can be directly transferred using the psionic magic network.

As for the native creatures on those planets, we can only say that we can do our best to save some if conditions permit. As for issuing warnings to them in advance, that's not going to happen, so as not to cause planetary unrest and to avoid hindering the Earth races from escaping at a critical moment.

However, for the time being, since those planets are all quite far from Earth, they should not be affected, unless the fluctuation is universe-wide, but Wu You might not believe that, what level would that be?

These are just some necessary measures in the Earth Sphere. What troubles Wu You is still where the fluctuation of the suspected "vision" comes from and what state Best is in.

The former cannot be confirmed at the moment. To be on the safe side, it is best not to pursue it without reliable preventative measures.

The latter left Wu You feeling helpless. If he said Best had failed or no longer existed, he could still see his name. If he said Best was safe and sound, the name was sometimes real and sometimes unreal, and he couldn't sense its location.

But waiting idly was not Wu You's style. This state of mind reminded him of a famous experiment, Schrödinger's cat.

At first glance, the two seem to be very different, but the essence of the conditions is actually very similar.

Schrödinger's cat is in a closed box containing dangerous radioactive material. The cat has a 50/50 chance of dying or surviving, and one of the two outcomes is inevitable.

The timeline in which Best exists is also a closed box; they are unaware of the situation here and do not know how much impact Best, this "butterfly," will have on that world.

Whether the invasion of the ancient aberrant species will change as a result is a matter of knowing and not knowing. The probability of saving that world can also be considered 50%, and it is also linked to Best's own survival.

The same closed conditions and unknowns, the same probability of choosing one of two options, made Wu You feel as if he had grasped something.

In the private crystal wall world, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant flowers, Wu You and Bai Ze floated in the air.

This world is in a constant state of growth, and the growth rate of the "living" crystal wall system is directly proportional to that rate.

The laws governing the world are similar to those of Earth, yet also different. The most obvious difference is in the stars. There is only one small star on the planet, which is also alive. It was constructed by highly concentrated psionic spirits according to the power of existence and the laws of the crystal wall system. The other stars are a kind of faint existence, corresponding to many things on Earth.

Currently, only two types of alchemical creatures are unique: Bai Ze and Qilin. However, this is not entirely accurate, as Wu You has also created some alchemical creatures with the same form.

It should be said that only the original two Bai Ze and Qilin possessed the spirit that Wu You envisioned.

Later, those were just slightly more powerful alchemical creatures, their magical abilities less than one-tenth of the originals, to the point that Wu You even considered classifying them separately.

Only the first generation of Bai Ze deserves to be called "Prophet", and only the first generation of Qilin deserves to be called "Five-Colored Auspiciousness".

Whenever Wu You encountered a problem he couldn't figure out, he would often rely on Bai Ze's precognitive wisdom.

"Bai Ze, do you think it's fate that we're sending a cat over there?"

Wu You's abrupt question left Bai Ze speechless.

"My lord, you are destiny!"

Wu You was taken aback, then burst into laughter. Bai Ze's words had three meanings. Indeed, for alchemical creatures, he was their destiny. At the same time, he was now pretending to be the "God of Destiny" everywhere in order to show off, and Best was indeed sent there by him.

"Getting back to the point, Bai Ze, what do you think of this world?"

Bai Ze stroked his beard with his hoof, without asking Wu You why he was asking a question unrelated to the most pressing matter.

Looking around, what he saw were the operating rules and fundamental laws of this world.

"The secret garden of the god of fate does not exist in this world, but it is itself another world. It can be said to be magnificent in every sense."

The flattery was sincere, and it made Wu You feel very comfortable.

"Yes, I have a question now. Do you think there's anything in common between Best, Schrödinger's Cat, and my secret garden?"

Almost as soon as Wu You finished speaking, Bai Ze saw a change in his eyes, and correspondingly, Wu You also discovered something under Bai Ze's influence.
