Chapter 58: Holding the Seventh Inch

Chapter 58: The Seventh Inch

Qin Chunhe was about to leave with Zhou Zhizhi, but was stopped by Zhou Zhizhi. She stood still:

"No, senior, getting a marriage certificate is such a big deal, how can there be even a little flaw? Let's wait until you meet my father and the scar on your face heals before we talk about it."

Qin Chunhe saw her determined face, and his hopes were dashed:

"What if your father still disagrees?"

"Don't worry, I'm only considering you. If my dad doesn't agree, I'll just go to the Civil Affairs Bureau with you. He'll have to agree no matter how he disagrees."

Qin Chunhe finally felt relieved. He was really afraid that the duck at his mouth would fly away:

"Well, let's go have breakfast."

"Senior, I ate it on the way back from your sister's place."

"Oh, you ate with Ruolan? Then can you eat a little more with me? I came to see you this morning, but you didn't open the door, so I've been starving ever since."

Qin Chunhe seized every opportunity to tease Zhou Zhizhi. Although Zhou Zhizhi was a little fat, she was plump and felt very good to the touch. She was a simple person and would blush if he teased her a little, so he didn't mind taking advantage of her in advance.

Zhou Zhizhi looked puzzled:

"Ruolan? I'm talking about your older sister, Qin Xiaocao."

"Qin Xiaocao? How could it be her?"

Qin Bingwu's nose felt a little itchy and she felt like sneezing.

Who is talking about her?

After repeated debugging and experiments, everything was finally done by dark. Qin Bingwu confidently put her exhibits in the box and prepared to take them to school tomorrow.

The chef outside had already prepared the meal, and Gu Siyue shouted in the restaurant:

"If you don't come, I'll eat it all."

Qin Bingwu washed her hands and went out:

"Can you finish all these dishes?"

The chef beside him wiped his hands and smiled:

"The eldest young master said he would come over, so I made a few more dishes."

"Brother?"

"Brother Yan?"

Speak of the devil, and the doorbell rang at this moment.

Qin Bingwu went to open the door. Outside was a man in a dark suit. His slender figure was like a perfect medieval sculpture, and his coldness made people afraid to approach him.

"Brother Yan, please come in."

When Gu Siyan came to Qin Bingwu's apartment for the first time, he was greeted by warm beige tones, cream-style decorations, and a few cartoon dolls scattered on the sofa, making the entire space look warm and cute.

The man's arrival seemed to trigger some different mechanism. Gu Siyue immediately stood at attention in the restaurant:

"Brother? Are you here to check on our studies? Don't worry, Xiaowu and I have been attending classes seriously every day and haven't been lazy at all."

The man glanced at him calmly. With one look, the chef quickened his pace.

"Well, Master Eldest, Master Fourth, Miss Qin, I'll be leaving first."

After the chef left, the atmosphere in the apartment became inexplicably tense. Qin Bingwu hurried to work to dispel the uneasiness brought by the man.

The bowls and chopsticks were brought and placed at the top of the dining table. Gu Siyan sat down calmly, and then Qin Bingwu took her seat.

When Gu Siyue tried to sit down to eat, Gu Siyan spoke:

"Who told you to sit?"

Gu Siyue was a little confused:

"Brother, why don't you sit down? I'll eat while standing."

The man tilted his head and stared at him with cold eyes:

"Who said you're allowed to eat?"

Gu Siyue pointed at himself in surprise:

"Brother, what have I done to prevent you from eating? I am still growing and I can't sleep at night if I don't eat dinner."

Although she was saying words of resistance and dissatisfaction, her body was obedient and didn't dare to move. She could only watch Qin Bingwu and Gu Siyan enjoy the table full of delicious food.

My stomach rumbled with desire.

Gu Siyan moved his chopsticks slowly:

"I let you go to college so that you can study, not learn how to fight."

Qin Bingwu's chopsticks that were picking up the food trembled, and her heart skipped a beat.

It’s over, Gu Siyan knows what happened last night.

"Hey, Brother Yan, try these spareribs. They're very soft and tasty. They're delicious."

Qin Bingwu used the serving chopsticks to pick up a piece of pork ribs and put it into Gu Siyan's bowl, trying to please him.

The man raised his eyebrow, his tone still cold and hard:

"You've grown up, grown up? Do you know how to stir up trouble?"

The provocative ending tone carried an oppressive feeling that could not be ignored, forcing Gu Siyue to bow his head, but bowing his head did not mean that he admitted his mistake:

"Brother, you don't know how despicable Qin Chunhe is. If we don't beat him up, it would be a disgrace to us men. Besides, his girlfriend vomited all over me, and that set of clothes cost hundreds of thousands of yuan. What's wrong with me beating him up?"

As Gu Siyue finished speaking, the sound of chopsticks clacking on the table was heard, which scared Qin Bingwu:

"You knocked out two of his teeth. Do you know that if he sues you, it would be considered serious injury? It would go on his criminal record."

Qin Bingwu didn't dare to eat anymore. She rushed in yesterday because she saw that something was wrong.

"It's just two teeth. I can just fill them for him. With his criminal record, wouldn't he be afraid to call the police?"

As Gu Siyue finished muttering, the temperature in the apartment instantly dropped to freezing point:

"Is this the confidence you have to hit someone? Do you think your family can cover for you? Do you think having a criminal record doesn't matter? Will you kill anyone you dislike in the future?"

Gu Siyan asked coldly, but Gu Siyue still refused to accept it:

"Brother, you're making a big deal out of nothing. Why would I kill someone? If I like eating chicken today, does that mean I have to eat people tomorrow?

I just don't like him. If I don't beat him up, where will my dignity be?"

Gu Siyan clenched his big palm on the table into a fist.

Qin Bingwu looked at the man whose anger was skyrocketing, then looked at Gu Siyue who had not involved her from beginning to end, and stood up suddenly:

"Brother Yan, this is not Brother Yue's fault. Brother Yue attacked my eldest brother because of me. If Brother Yan wants to punish someone, then punish me."

Gu Siyue became a little anxious:

"Why are you standing up? What can my big brother do to me? At most, I'll starve for a couple of meals, and you can just bring me some midnight snacks. Do you think you can withstand my big brother's wrath?"

Qin Bingwu explained:

"This was my idea in the first place, Brother Yan, if you want to blame someone, blame me."

Gu Siyan looked at the girl standing next to him, who looked determined to die bravely, and his clenched fists loosened.

"Then what do you think the punishment should be?"

Gu Siyue widened his eyes:

"No, big brother, are you really going to punish Xiaowu? Aren't you afraid that I will tell grandma?"

The man raised his eyes and glanced at him:

"If you're not afraid that grandma will find out that you're fighting and causing trouble outside, then go ahead."

In a word, Gu Siyue was caught in a weak position.

It’s not that I’m afraid of being punished by my grandma, but I just don’t want to hear her worrying and nagging.

Gu Siyue sat down on the chair with a bit of frustration. He had previously refused to admit his mistakes, but now that he knew Qin Bingwu was going to be punished, his tone softened:

"Big brother, although it was Xiaowu who came up with the idea, I was the one who beat him up. You can't blame it all on Xiaowu. I'll take the punishment if you want to punish me."

Gu Siyan rubbed his fingertips and said in a cold voice:

"Since you like fighting so much, go to the boxing gym and challenge the students there one by one. Don't come back until you're done."
