Chapter 17 Death Game

Xia Tianqiong looked at her indifferently, "Choosing the wrong one will kill you, not choosing one will also kill you!"

The female employee panicked. If she had chosen from the beginning, there was a 50% chance of getting it right. Now, with an additional clone, the chance had dropped to 30%.

If you wait a minute before selecting, it will create more clones, and the probability will continue to decrease.

She didn't dare hesitate any longer and quickly pointed to the cleaning lady across the street.

"I choose her, she is the real one!"

Three identical cleaning ladies stood there, looking exactly the same.

She knew the other person; they worked at the hotel and often interacted, so they were quite familiar. At first glance, the one on the far right seemed familiar, while the other two were complete strangers.

I can't explain why I feel this way, but at this point, all I can do is give it my all.

Suddenly, a line of words appeared on the mirror.

[Congratulations, you made the correct choice. You are rewarded with a clone mirror.]

Almost simultaneously, the two mirror images of the cleaning lady beside her suddenly attacked with ferocious expressions.

It ripped her soul out of its body, tore it apart, devoured it, and then its clone disappeared.

The whole process took only two or three seconds, leaving the others dumbfounded.

"Those chosen as the true form will also die. In other words, regardless of whether the true form is chosen or not, someone present will die."

Zhang Zhihu silently summarized the patterns while carefully observing the remaining survivors.

"I...I killed her?"

The female employee stood there stunned, never imagining that her choice would lead to the death of the cleaning lady.

Suddenly, a mirror the size of a palm appeared out of thin air in front of me. I carefully caught it and subconsciously asked, "What's this for?"

Unexpectedly, the mirror provided the answer.

[By reflecting oneself and communicating with one's mind, one can create a mirror image, which exists for the duration of an incense stick.]

"This is something good! Let me take a look."

Liu Wangcai suddenly strode over and, while the female employee was still stunned, snatched the mirror away.

"What are you doing? Give it back to me!" the female employee shouted.

"Let me see, why are you being so stingy?"

Liu Wangcai said he would take a look, but he used it directly.

A ray of light floated out from the palm-sized mirror, landed on the ground, and transformed into his image, while the mirror shattered into pieces.

It is clearly a disposable item.

"Why did you use it?"

The female employee angrily questioned her, only then realizing a serious problem: whoever has more mirror images is less likely to be chosen as the real person.

"It's not my fault. I just tried it out, and who knew it would turn out like this."

Liu Wangcai had a scoundrel-like appearance, and anyone could tell that he was doing it on purpose.

The female employee was so angry she wanted to cry.

While the two were talking, another minute passed, and each of them gained another clone.

Currently, each person has four clones, but Liu Wang only has five.

The images of several people flashed again on the mirror, and the process of drawing the next person began.

Zhang Zhihu looked at Xia Tianqiong sternly, "What else do you know? If you don't want to get everyone killed, confess as soon as possible."

He was skilled in the art of speaking, and he immediately slapped a heavy label on Xia Tianqiong, pinning the blame on her.

Liu Wangcai, Luo Ying, and the female employee all looked at Xia Tianqiong at the same time.

"The rules of the game are so simple, what else is there to say?"

Xia Tianqiong couldn't say too much to them. In this deadly game, the danger wasn't the mirror image ghost, but the other people.

Anyone could be chosen by someone else to reveal their true identity, thus triggering the death rule.

“You must know how to survive, or how to escape from here, otherwise you wouldn’t be so calm.”

Zhang Zhihu is a veteran police officer with many years of experience and a keen eye for people.

Xia Tianqiong smiled faintly, "If I told you that you would all die, would you believe me?"

The other three people turned pale upon hearing this.

Only Zhang Zhihu, frowning, remained calm. "Will you die too?"

Before Xia Tianqiong could answer, the image on the mirror stopped looping, and this time Luo Ying was drawn.

"Wangcai, what should I do? How should I choose?"

Luo Ying exclaimed in surprise, wanting to ask Liu Wangcai for help, but looking at the five identical boyfriends, she didn't know which one was real.

Before Liu Wangcai could speak, Zhang Zhiqiang advised, "Don't rush to choose. Let's get to the bottom of things first. We can't let any more people die."

Luo Ying and Liu Wangcai were both stunned for a moment, and hesitated.

“Every minute wasted creates a clone, reducing the chance of selecting the real body. Wouldn’t that put me in greater danger, while you would be safer?”

Luo Ying wasn't stupid; she naturally understood the danger involved.

Her gaze swept over Zhang Zhiqiang, Xia Tianqiong, and the female employee, as she considered which one to choose.

Zhang Zhiqiang frowned slightly, then suddenly pointed at Xia Tianqiong, "If you have to choose, I suggest you choose him."

Liu Wangcai chimed in, "Yes, let's choose him. He's definitely hiding something from us. If we choose him, he'll be the one who dies."
