Chapter 176 The Strange Scholar (shuhaige.net)

While Chu Xu and the others were feasting on the first floor, Xia Tianqiong was waiting for the ghost bride on the sixth floor.

This floor remained empty as always, without a single person in sight.

Before the ghost bride arrived, a young man dressed in ancient attire appeared. He wore a black Confucian hat, a blue robe, and carried a folding fan, looking every bit the scholar.

He glanced at the restaurant lobby and walked straight to where Xia Tianqiong was.

Xia Tianqiong immediately became alert. Those who could reach the sixth floor were either extremely wealthy like him or were supernatural beings of the level of Li Gui or above.

The scholar's eyes were as deep as the night sky as he carefully examined Xia Tianqiong before slowly speaking, "So, you're the one who wants to marry Sixiang?"

"Sixiang?"

Xia Tianqiong was slightly taken aback, then remembered that during the ghost marriage incident, in the illusion created by the ghost bride, her family called her Qin Sixiang.

In other words, the real name of the ghost bride is Qin Sixiang.

Xia Tianqiong didn't answer, but instead asked, "Who are you?"

"Who I am is not important. What's important is whether you've agreed to marry Miss Sixiang?"

The scholar stared intently at Xia Tianqiong, a hint of jealousy in his voice.

Xia Tianqiong chuckled, "None of your business!"

The scholar's face stiffened; he hadn't expected him to speak so crudely.

After pausing for two seconds, he suddenly closed his folding fan and asked, "Can we share a table?"

"Can't!"

Xia Tianqiong snorted coldly.

There was no trace of ghostly power emanating from this scholar; he appeared to be a normal human being.

However, it's impossible for humans to wear ancient clothing; it's more likely something sophisticated and eerie.

A cold smile suddenly appeared on the scholar's lips. He lightly tapped the table with his folding fan, and the table instantly moved several meters to the side.

Then he sat down in the chair opposite Summer Dome.

The two were facing each other, with nothing between them.

Xia Tianqiong was astonished; she hadn't realized that this rule could be circumvented in this way.

Without a table, it doesn't count as sharing a table.

"What do you want with me? Where is the Ghost Bride? Why didn't it come?"

"Let me see if you're worthy to be its groom."

The scholar smiled but did not answer. Suddenly, he unfolded his folding fan, revealing a traditional Chinese ink painting.

It gently fanned itself, and the ink painting instantly unfolded, like a large net, enveloping the summer sky.

Xia Tianqiong had no time to react at all; it was as if the surrounding scenery changed in the blink of an eye.

One second they were sitting in a restaurant chair, the next they were in a desolate wilderness.

At first, the surroundings were black and white, but in an instant, the colors gradually became richer, as if it had become a real world.

"General, we are surrounded."

A rough, loud voice suddenly rang out, startling Xia Tianqiong.

Looking down in the direction of the sound, they saw a burly man dressed in ancient military uniform, surrounded by more than twenty other soldiers like him.

At the same time, he was surprised to find himself riding a tall horse, wearing fine armor, with a long sword at his waist, dressed like a general.

Then he discovered that his hands and feet were large, his body was muscular, and he had a full beard.

This isn't his body at all!

What's going on? Is this role-playing?

Xia Tianqiong knew this must be a ghost realm, but this was the first time she had ever heard of a ghost realm that could directly transform a person into another identity.

That scholar is no ordinary person; he's at least at the level of the Fierce Demon.

But why would it attack itself?

Does it like the ghost bride and see itself as a rival in love?

"General, if you have the chance, please break out on your own. Don't worry about us; we are prepared to die."

Another soldier next to him spoke solemnly, and more than twenty other soldiers echoed him.

Their eyes were resolute, and they were ready to die.

Xia Tianqiong was moved, but didn't know what to say. He was pondering whether this was a mission from the Ghost Realm.

Let him break out, or fight alongside these soldiers.

Looking around, he found himself on a small hill, with a group of enemies in khaki military uniforms slowly approaching.

At a glance, there are probably two or three thousand people.

But he only had about twenty people with him, a difference of a hundred times, so under normal circumstances he definitely couldn't win.

Fortunately, Xia Tianqiong is a ghost hunter and can summon a large number of contract ghosts.

Thinking of this, I suddenly paused for a moment.

He suddenly realized that his connection with all the contracted spirits had vanished!

He hurriedly searched his body and found that the bronze mirror was still in his pocket, but for some reason, it was no longer usable and the mirror space could not be opened.

Moreover, all the tricks of the Contractual Ghost cannot be borrowed.

Even communication through consciousness is impossible; this strange realm seems to have blocked all contracted ghosts.

The only thing he can use now is the "Thunder and Lightning King" technique that he himself possesses.

Xia Tianqiong's mood immediately turned serious. With only this trickery and without any ghost money available, it might not be enough to deal with two or three thousand ancient soldiers.

"Kill! Whoever kills the enemy general will be rewarded with a hundred taels of gold."

When the surrounding enemy soldiers were thirty or forty meters away, they suddenly shouted in unison and launched a collective attack.

Upon seeing this, Xia Tianqiong shouted, "Kill! Let's fight our way out together!"

As he spoke, he raised his hand and pointed forward, and a bolt of lightning appeared out of thin air, exploding among the enemy troops.

He immediately killed or knocked out four or five people.

Surprisingly, the enemy remained completely calm and their formation remained intact as they continued their charge.

The soldiers beside Xia Tianqiong looked at him with a mixture of surprise and delight.

"General, so you are a sorcerer."

"Stop talking nonsense, gather around me, and don't let them get separated."
