This wasn't the first time Old Liu had met the clan elders, but he suddenly felt a little nervous.
"Reporting to the three elders, a few days ago, I and dozens of my kin were kidnapped by a group of Void Evil Clan members and taken to their floating island."
When I first arrived there, I happened to encounter a group of people attacking the Leng family's ghost generals. I witnessed them using rune tree stumps to fight against the formation on the sky island.
Unfortunately, the Void Clan was too powerful, and the group was defeated and fled, leaving the rune tree stump in their hands.
Seated on the upper right is a female clan elder who looks like a woman in her thirties, with charming and alluring features.
It suddenly sat up straight, and pink petals appeared on its cheeks, like tattoos.
This is a characteristic that only appears when one is extremely emotionally agitated.
The Peach Blossom Clan Elder turned to the silver-haired Clan Elder beside him, "Brother Silver Fir, our clansmen witnessed the sacred artifact fall into the hands of the Void Ghost Clan. If we go to get it back now, won't they have an excuse?"
The elder of the Silver Fir clan, sitting in the middle, clearly held a higher status.
After a moment's thought, it said, "The sacred object concerns the inheritance of our clan. Since it has been confirmed that it is in the hands of the Void Clan, we must take it back."
At this moment, another elder present suddenly spoke up.
"Wait a minute, we haven't figured things out yet, so let's not rush to make a decision. After all, the Void Clan is not so easy to deal with."
The elder who spoke was a young man. Although he was in human form, his whole body was covered with slender, tender green leaves, and he exuded a refreshing tea fragrance.
It is clearly a tea tree monster, and a Houkui tea tree at that.
It frowned and looked down at the old willow tree. "How did you escape back? What about your other kin?"
"The fighting was very intense and the scene was chaotic, so we took the opportunity to fight back."
At this point, Old Liu looked sad, "Unfortunately, that place was ultimately the territory of the Void Clan. They were numerous, and our resistance was quickly suppressed."
I managed to sneak into the invaders' group and escape by following them. However, the Void Clan sent experts to hunt me down, and they chased me for four or five days. When we were nearing the outskirts of our clan's territory, I left the group and prepared to return to our clan's territory.
The Void Race probably worried I'd bring the news back, so they sent two of their creatures to hunt me down. If I hadn't encountered a patrol, I might not have made it back.
The Monkey Clan elder then asked, "How many people were in that group that attacked the Void Clan? What was their combat strength like?"
Old Liu respectfully replied, "They have two cunning generals, six or seven fierce cunning generals, and a total of thirty or forty vicious and evil cunning generals."
The elder of the Monkey Clan frowned in thought, but remained silent.
The Silver Fir Clan elder nodded slightly, "This strength is not bad, about the same as those smaller clans. It's a pity that this strength is not enough to shake the Void Clan. How dare they launch a sneak attack?"
“I don’t know why, but when I asked, their leader didn’t answer. By the way, their leader is a human.”
Upon hearing Old Liu's words, the three elders were all filled with astonishment.
The elder of the Peach Blossom Clan frowned, her beautiful eyes filled with doubt.
"Are you sure it's a living human, and not a humanoid monster?"
“On the way to escape being hunted, their leader met me. I could tell at a glance that he was human, and he admitted it himself. He said that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, which is why he allowed me to escape with them.”
The Silver Fir Elder stroked his long silver beard and said with a faint smile, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I've heard that saying before. Perhaps we can join forces with this person to deal with the Void Clan."
The elder of the Peach Blossom Clan, who was standing to the side, nodded in agreement with the suggestion.
However, the elder of the Monkey Clan voiced his opposition.
"Whether human or humanoid monster, they are all cunning and notoriously treacherous. Never cooperate with them lightly."
The Silver Fir elder pondered for a moment, then remained noncommittal. “The most pressing issue now is how to get our clan’s sacred artifact back. The Void Clan will never return it to us easily.”
No sooner had the words left his mouth than a tree spirit burst into the hall, shouting as it entered.
"Reporting to the clan elders, two groups of humanoid monsters have been spotted fighting on the outskirts of the clan's territory. There are dozens on each side, including a monster general-level being. They are very powerful, and our patrol team is unable to drive them away."
The three elders exchanged glances and immediately understood what was going on.
The Silver Fir elder said solemnly, “It must be that human who was chased here by the Void Clan. This person may not be our friend, but the Void Clan is definitely our enemy. There’s no doubt about that.”
The Peach Blossom Clan elder, her eyes filled with murderous intent, urged, "Then what are you waiting for? If we can capture the Void Clan's general, we can definitely exchange him for our sacred artifact."
After saying that, he flashed and transformed into a pink streak of light, flying out of the hall.
The elders of the Silver Fir Clan and the Monkey Clan were a step behind, and then they too vanished in a stream of light.
Only Old Willow and the Tree Demon who came to deliver the message remained in the main hall.
Old Liu finally relaxed.
But at that moment, a sound that only it could hear rang out from within its body.
"Brother Liu, you did a good job. Our boss always keeps his word, he won't treat you unfairly."
"We are of the same race, you wouldn't lie to me, would you?"
"I never lie, so don't worry! Now go back to your original place and prepare for the next step of the plan."
