Smoke and dust enveloped the city, reducing visibility to only a dozen meters or so, beyond which only blurry outlines remained.
Xiao Zijun led his team along the street, and everyone stared wide-eyed, warily watching their surroundings.
Suddenly, someone shouted, "There are about thirty strange creatures to the right front!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a dozen strange spells were unleashed, killing seven or eight people on the spot, but the rest still rushed forward.
Just then, a crisp clap of thunder was accompanied by two bolts of lightning, which instantly flew out, linking the remaining twenty-odd strange creatures together.

Xiao Zijun bowed his back and lowered his head, giving his report with utmost respect.
Two days earlier, Bai Shouyi and Cui Lingxi suspected that "Dongtianfu" was a fake name, as it was very similar to the name "Xiatianqiong". They guessed that Dongtianfu was Xiatianqiong in disguise.
They reported the matter to the higher authorities, and after discussing it, the heads of the various families all agreed that the person was very likely Xia Tianqiong.
Therefore, another emergency meeting was convened.
Bai Mashan frowned, his white eyebrows furrowed, and asked, "If he really is Xia Tianqiong, what does he want? Is he plotting to create our strange scene?"
Hu Zizai's face was filled with hatred as he coldly said, "This man is a robber; he probably wants to claim the strange scene for himself."
Wang Qingxian chuckled sinisterly, "He's incredibly audacious! Sending his contracted army of ghosts to conquer the city, while he himself secretly came here. This is our chance; perhaps we can..."
He didn't continue, but made a throat-slitting gesture.
Huang Kun immediately objected, "Don't be impulsive. Given his style, he wouldn't risk it alone. He must have something to rely on. Maybe that female ghost beside him is a ghost general. We must not take the initiative to attack."
Mo Qiankun nodded in agreement, "If he really is Xia Tianqiong, with his current strength, our ancient family is nothing in front of him and can be easily wiped out."
