Mirror space, at the edge of the bluestone plaza.
The zombie's arms were pulled apart and it was tied to a cross, its shape somewhat resembling Jesus.
Today is the last day. If it does not yield, it will be killed immediately.
The delivery ghost suddenly walked over, pulled out the object blocking the zombie ghost's mouth, and then untied it.
"Brother, I'm so sorry. I've made you suffer a lot these past few days. I apologize to you."
The zombie stared at it coldly, its dark eyes filled with rage.
"Pretend to be innocent, kill me if you want, no trick can make me submit."
Its size has also shrunk considerably, and its ghostly form is almost transparent. It is on the verge of collapse and is unable to use any tricks. Otherwise, it would really like to take this guy down with it.
The delivery guy looked at it with regret on his face.
“Brother, my master sees you as a real man with strong backbone, so he’s going to give you a quick death and stop us from torturing you.”
"Hmph, he talks like he's some kind of good guy! Come on, kill me and see if I'll give in!"
The zombie was severely injured and on the verge of death, but its rough, hoarse voice was still loud and grating.
The delivery guy shook his head and smiled. "Before I kill you, I want to treat you to a good meal as an apology for what I've done to you these past few days."
A hint of doubt appeared in the zombie's eyes, wondering what kind of trick this was.
The group of contract ghosts watching from the sidelines also didn't understand the food delivery ghost's behavior.
The gambler warned, "It's a vicious monster. Once it recovers even a little, it can unleash its tricks and kill you with a single breath of poison mist."
Even the Mirror Ghost rarely spoke up to advise, "Take it easy, don't get yourself into trouble, it's not worth it. Since the master has already given up on it, just kill it and exchange it for Nether Gold!"
"Get out of the way, let me kill it."
The human-headed dog was a bit annoyed and wanted to kill the zombie directly.
It doesn't like such a strong-willed weirdness!
"Don't rush, killing it won't matter if it takes a little while. After all, it's one of our kind. Let it have its last meal before it dies!"
The delivery ghost quickly stood in front of the zombie ghost, and then, ignoring the other ghosts' attempts to stop it, dragged it to its own yard.
The zombie ghost did not resist, hopping and skipping along with the delivery ghost.
I thought to myself, this might be some kind of tactic targeting it!
The group of contract ghosts looked at each other, feeling that the delivery ghost was courting death and not understanding why it was so persistent.
"You're so desperate for credit, you'd be better off dead!"
Xiao Ba muttered to himself and quietly followed.
The delivery ghost's courtyard was right across from the Bluestone Square. It led the zombie ghost into the courtyard, then closed the door, keeping the other contracted ghosts who wanted to follow outside.
Huang Yu, on the other hand, flew up to the top of the wall and coldly looked inside.
The courtyard is decorated in a classic style, with green bamboo, artificial hills, and round tables and stone benches carved from stone.
The table was now covered with various foods, including a platter of spirit fruits.
"Come, please sit down!"
The delivery person was very polite, as if they had guests at home, with a warm smile on their face.
The zombie seemed a little reserved, but it wasn't afraid and sat down on the stone bench.
On the stone table were more than a dozen dishes, including braised carp, steamed pork ribs with rice flour, braised pork belly with preserved mustard greens, and pickled cabbage with blood sausage.
These things, which looked like human food, exuded a ghostly power, making the zombies' eyes widen with excitement.
If it eats just a little, its monstrous form will recover somewhat, allowing it to spew out poisonous mist and kill this smiling, treacherous fellow.
"Don't be shy, eat up."
The delivery ghost sat down opposite, beckoned to the zombie ghost, and picked up his chopsticks. "These are all condensed by my trickery. These spirit fruits are what my master usually gives me. I can't finish them all, so I brought them to entertain you."
The zombie glared at it, then began to eat voraciously without any restraint.
The deliveryman looked at us with a smile, "We have offended you a lot these past few days. We hope you can understand. We did this for our master, and also so that you could become one of us."
Unfortunately, you are too principled, which means you are destined to have no connection with my master. After you finish this meal, I will send you on your way.
Its language was plain, as if it were talking about an ordinary little thing.
The zombie, chewing on a rib, glanced disdainfully at the delivery ghost, "Are you really so willing to be slaves to a human?"
The delivery guy smiled and didn't answer the question, but instead told it about his experience.
How to meet the master, how to be tricked into making a contract, how to subdue the gambling ghost, the mirror ghost, and the dangerous situations when encountering high-level ghosts such as the cat demon ghost, the ghost bride, and the humanoid ghost king.
Besides these, it also talked about many everyday details.
The delivery service didn't flaunt its eloquence; it simply narrated the story in a plain and simple way, like reminiscing about the past with an old friend.
The zombie lowered its head and ate voraciously, initially not caring at all what the other person was saying.
But as I listened, I became interested.
It seems that the human treated his contracted monster quite well, never beating or scolding it, nor maliciously driving it around, and usually giving it various rewards, with more ghost gold than it could ever use.
The zombie was skeptical, feeling that the other party was trying to fool him.
But when it heard that the human had been personally escorted by the manager of the Ghost Realm Bank to travel to the Ghost Realm, and had even triggered a war between the two races, bringing back a large amount of spoils, it immediately became unsettled.
"How could a human possibly do those things? Is there any point in trying to fool me like this?"
The zombie put down its chopsticks and couldn't help but question the delivery guy.
In truth, it already believed it to some extent.
Seeing its reaction, the delivery guy's lips gradually curled up. "Come on, I'll take you to see the warehouse and show you my master's wealth and potential."
