Chapter 192: Karubin's Great Escape (Part 1)

So the matter just passed.

Karubin ran out of the ward in a panic, looking for a hidden corner anxiously like a frightened bird.

It shuttled through the corners of the hospital and finally stopped in a corner full of debris.

It's dark and quiet here, as if isolated from the world.

Karubin curled up in a corner, trying to calm his pounding heart.

Its heart beat like a rapid drum, hitting its chest again and again.

After calming down a little, Karubin began to recall the thrilling series of events that had just happened.

After waking up from the shock, it just glanced at the jade pendant subconsciously.

But it was this one glance that made it surprised to discover that the jade pendant was still emitting a bright and colorful light.

Obviously, it did not absorb all the colorful energy.

This made it feel very puzzled.

In the past, when absorbing colored light clusters, it usually only took a few hours to complete.

But this time, it was not completely absorbed in one night.

Karubin racked his brains but couldn't figure it out.

Its little head was full of questions, but it could never find the answers.

In order to completely absorb this colorful light ball, Karubin did not go back immediately, but chose to hide in the hospital.

Because we can't be seen by people in the hospital, as there are many people and eyes during the day, we might be discovered if we are not careful.

So, Karubin hid carefully and endured until the evening.

When it was late at night and the entire hospital was immersed in silence, it quietly found the familiar ward.

However, the ward was already closed at this time, tightly locked, and the door could only be opened by pulling down the door handle.

Karubin looked at the door handle helplessly for a long time.

In the end, it could only jump hard and try to grab the door handle with its two front paws, and then pull the door handle down with its own small body weight to open the door.

Although the door handle was not high, it was still a little difficult for Karubin, who was doing this for the first time, and he couldn't find the right timing.

With every jump, it concentrates fully and tries hard to adjust its posture and strength.

As he jumped again and again, Karubin saw the scene in the ward through the glass window on the door.

Only then did it suddenly realize why the doctors were able to find it hiding under the bed during the day.

It turns out that by looking inside through the doors and windows, you can see clearly what's happening under the bed.

At that moment, a trace of regret welled up in Karubin's heart. If he had known this earlier, he would definitely find a more secluded place.

I don’t know how long it took, but after countless attempts, Karubin finally succeeded in pulling down the door handle.

With a slight sound, the door of the ward was successfully opened.

But at this moment, the light footsteps of the nurse who was making night rounds gradually approached this side.

Carubin's little ears stood up instantly, and it keenly sensed the approaching danger.

Without any hesitation, the moment the door opened, it immediately slipped in through the crack like a flash of lightning.

When the door closed automatically, there was a slight "click" sound, and at this time the nurse just came to the door of the ward.

The nurse carefully looked into the ward through the door and windows, and found nothing unusual, so she left.

And Karubin hid closely under the door, not daring to make a sound.

When it heard the footsteps gradually fading away, it secretly breathed a sigh of relief, and its tense body slowly relaxed.

When Karubin came back under the bed, he found that the jade pendant was missing.

Karubin's heart began to panic, and a feeling of uneasiness instantly came over him.

Then it immediately crawled out from under the bed and began to search anxiously in the ward.

Its eyes scanned everywhere, not missing any corner.

Soon, it discovered that a faint colorful light was emitting from the gap under the patient's pillow.

Because most of it was covered by the pillow, only a little light was emitted, but it was still noticed by Karubin keenly.

Karubin was delighted, as if he saw a ray of light in the darkness.

As long as the stuff is still there.

Next, Karubin jumped onto the hospital bed. His movements were light and cautious, and he tiptoed to the head of the bed.

It began to use its claws to gently take out the jade pendant from under the pillow, being cautious with every movement for fear of making any sound.

Snore…snore…snore…

The patient who was sleeping soundly on the bed was snoring loudly, and the sound echoed in the ward like low thunder.

He was completely unaware of the strange feeling that the pillow gave off from time to time, and was still immersed in a sweet dream.

Karubin was concentrating on digging under the pillow with his claws. His little head was pressed against the edge of the pillow, his eyes fixed on the movements of his claws.

Time passed by minute by minute, as if trapped in some kind of loop.

After digging for an unknown amount of time, Carubin's claws became numb, but he had no intention of giving up.

Finally, the cat’s hard work paid off, and Karubin felt his claws touch a familiar hard object.

It was delighted and pulled the thing out more carefully.

With its efforts, the jade pendant was finally successfully taken out.

Karubin looked at the jade pendant with excitement in his eyes.

Afterwards, Karubin, like a clever little spy, quickly hid behind the water dispenser in the corner of the ward.
