Chapter 193: Kalubin's Great Escape (Part 2)

The entire hospital carried out a day-long capture operation, but in the end, Karubin escaped.

It should be said that everyone in the hospital lost track of Karubin.

Karubin seemed to have turned into a ball of invisible air, as if he had disappeared out of thin air, and never appeared in people's sight again.

The hospital thought that Karubin had already escaped from the hospital, so they canceled the arrest operation.

As the order was issued, the medical staff and security guards who had been busy and nervous gradually relaxed, and the hospital returned to its normal order.

The noisy shouts and hurried footsteps gradually disappeared, replaced by a quiet atmosphere and regular work rhythm.

But...what no one knew was that Karubin did not run out of the hospital. It was still in the hospital, but no one had discovered it.

It is like a mysterious elf, cleverly hiding its figure.

Karubin hid in a place no one would expect. That place was dark and hidden, as if it was a corner forgotten by the world.

In a dark corridor on the second underground floor of the hospital, it was so quiet that it seemed as if time had stopped.

There is a sign hanging above the only iron gate here, with three big words "Mortuary" written in eye-catching fonts.

The morgue was cold and gloomy, as if it was a corner forgotten by the world.

Only the few light bulbs on the wall emitting faint yellow light, like dim stars, barely illuminated this gloomy space.

Under the dim light, you can vaguely see rows of cadavers parked in the morgue.

The morgues were lined up quietly.

Some of the morgues are empty, giving off an air of emptiness and loneliness; while others are covered with white cloth, with human-shaped protrusions faintly visible underneath the cloth, as if telling the story of the passing and mystery of life.

The air here seems to be filled with the breath of death, which makes people shudder.

Every corner is full of unknowns and fears, as if hiding countless unknown stories.

However, the raised outline on one of the morgues covered with white cloth was slightly different from the raised outlines on the other morgues covered with white cloth.

That slight difference seemed particularly abrupt in this gloomy morgue.

If you look closely, you will find that the raised outline on this and other morgues covered with white cloth has a smaller bulge than the others.

The bulge was not noticeable, but it seemed out of place with the surrounding scene.

And right under this extra bulge was Karubin, who had hurriedly and miserably escaped from the clutches of the doctors, nurses and security guards in the hospital.

It curled up there, its eyes peering through the gaps in the white cloth, nervously observing the movements around it.

Its heartbeat was as rapid as a drum, as if telling of its fear and anxiety.

The carubin's hair is a little messy. Although its hair will not be stained with dust, it is enough to show how embarrassed it was when it was escaping.

Its eyes were filled with fatigue and vigilance, and it didn't know how long it would stay in this place.

It fled all the way, running around like a frightened bird, hiding in many places.

The narrow space under the bed became its temporary safe haven. It stuck close to the ground, not daring to breathe, and listened to the footsteps coming and going outside.

Inside the nurse's reception counter, it curled up in the darkness, feeling the oppressive atmosphere, its heart so nervous that it seemed like it was going to jump out of its throat.

Inside the curtains, it snuggles with the soft fabric, watching the movements outside through the gaps. Every slight movement makes it terrified.

Behind the trash can, in the corner where the odor is emitted, it does not care about anything else and just hopes not to be discovered.

It even played tricks on people by hiding behind doctors or nurses, and managed to escape danger with its small size and agile movements.

It even hid inside the patient's quilt, feeling the patient's body temperature, and its heart was filled with tension and anxiety.

However, no matter where it hides, it will be found.

Those who search seem to have a keen sense of smell and can always find its traces at the most critical moment.

Finally, it had nowhere to hide and could only run down the stairs.

Its footsteps are light and rapid, as if it is racing against fate.

It found that the further it ran down, the fewer people there were. The silent atmosphere made it feel a little uneasy, but it also gave it a glimmer of hope.

Finally, it ran to the morgue.

In order to hide its tracks, it found a morgue covered with a white cloth and crawled into it.

Now it can't go anywhere, so it can only hide here miserably, waiting to take action at night.

The morgue was cold and damp, and the chill seemed to penetrate deep into the soul.

During this time, other people came several times. The light footsteps seemed particularly clear in this silent space, and every step made Karubin's heart tighten suddenly.

Although Karubin didn't know what they were doing specifically, judging from the sound, they should have opened a door similar to a cabinet.

As the cabinet door opened, an even colder breeze blew in, as if it came from the underworld, causing Karubin to shiver.

Even so, Karubin still hid quietly under the white cloth, not daring to move.

It closed its eyes tightly, as if this could isolate it from the dangers of the outside world.

After waiting for the surroundings to become quiet again, he carefully shrank his body, trying to find a sense of warmth and security in this small space.
