Chapter 57: Recognition (3)

Chapter 57: Recognition (3)

"Grandpa, Grandma, hello. This is our first meeting, and I came in a hurry, so I didn't prepare any decent gifts. I just brought you some nutritional supplements."

Moros didn't bother to answer the old lady's machine-gun-like questions. He first handed the gift in his hand to his grandparents to express his sincerity as a grandson paying a visit to his grandparents.

"Oh, why be so polite. It's the greatest comfort to us that our grandson can see us." The old lady took the things handed to her by Moros swiftly, put them aside in the living room, and then quickly let Moros into the house.

Throughout the whole process, the old lady was the only one talking to him, while the old man was dazed and unresponsive. Moros was a little puzzled, but didn't dare to ask.

He followed the old couple into the living room.

This wasn't a living room at all. It was just a six-square-meter hallway with an old wooden table. On it were peanut butter, fermented tofu, and other common Chinese breakfast spreads.

The two old chairs, like the table, were clearly old. It was estimated that the table and chairs were older than I was!

Moros thought about it and couldn't help feeling a little sad.

Seeing that the three of them couldn't move around in this so-called living room, the old lady simply dragged Moros to the bedroom:

"Child, come sit here. It's more spacious here."

"Our family's conditions are not good, so you have to bear with it." The old lady said again.

As they talked, the three of them sat down in the bedroom.

Moros looked around and found that this bedroom was the largest room in the house.

The room wasn't very big originally, probably only about ten square meters, but they knocked down the wall between the balcony and the bedroom, which increased the room's area by several square meters.

There is a large bed in the bedroom with bedside tables on both sides.

Next to the wall is a wardrobe built against the wall, standing on the ground.

On the wall opposite the bed hangs a 30-inch LCD TV, the newest item in the bedroom.

There is also a long sofa next to the open balcony...

The entire room was furnished with old items from the last century, except for the old ones. However, the room was cleaned fairly well. There was no dust on the old floor.

The walls looked like they had been repainted, the windows were clean, the sheets were clean, and the quilts were neatly folded...

It can be seen that although the living conditions are very poor, the old lady is a very hygienic and clean person.

After a while, the old lady brought hot tea, fruit, and snacks...

"This is Biluochun tea produced in our hometown. You must have never tasted it in Russia. How about trying it?" The old lady smiled.

"This is a fruit we often eat in Huacheng, called apple. I wonder if you have it in Russia?" The old lady picked up the apple and began to peel it for Moros.

"Grandpa, Grandma, this is a photo of me and my parents holding me." After Moros settled down and calmed down a bit, he pulled out a photo of himself and his parents from his bag. This photo is the only one he has kept to this day...

After his parents died, he was caught by Sergei and became a thief. And the house that belonged to his parents was also occupied by his uncle...

One day, when he was sleeping in the basement of Sergei's house, his uncle came to give him this photo.

"Son, don't forget your parents. This photo is the only legacy your parents left you!" The uncle said, then walked away...
