Chapter 412 Don't you want to die? I'll help you.
Cui Xiao's heart skipped a beat, and an ominous premonition welled up in her mind.
She ran quickly to the elevator entrance, and her fingers trembled slightly with anger as she pressed the down button.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, she saw a group of people gathered in the center of the lobby. In the middle of the crowd, Jin Ping was standing with her hands on her hips, confronting the security guard. She was craning her neck and muttering, "What's wrong with me looking for my daughter?"
Cui Xiao's face instantly turned as cold as ice. She quickly squeezed in, grabbed Jin Ping's arm, and pulled her out with such force that Jin Ping hissed in pain.
Once outside the lobby, Cui Xiao coldly questioned, "Are you crazy? What are you doing here causing trouble?"
She lowered her voice, her tone filled with suppressed anger, and the veins on her forehead throbbed faintly.
Jin Ping was pulled so hard she stumbled, and when she shook off her hand, she almost lost her balance.
Jin Ping pulled the crumpled boarding pass out of her bag and slammed it into Cui Xiao's hand, curling up the edges of the boarding pass.
Her voice rose eight octaves, spittle flying everywhere, "You're disappointed to see I didn't leave, aren't you?"
Cui Xiao was a little confused and didn't understand what Jin Ping meant.
Jin Ping sneered and said loudly, "You think I'm in your way and want to send me back to my hometown. You even had Zhou Mubin threaten your sister with her job to get rid of me. Cui Xiao, you're really cunning. I'm your own mother, how could you treat me like this?"
Since last night, Jin Ping has been furious and hasn't slept a wink all night, waiting to settle scores with Cui Xiao today.
Jin Ping became more and more agitated as she spoke, grabbing Cui Xiao's arm and shaking it, her eyes filled with a piercing gaze, "Now that you've made something of yourself, a leader in a big company, you think you can do whatever you want? Let me tell you, you crawled out of my belly, and I'll be your mother for life. You think you can just ignore me? Dream on."
"Call Zhou Mubin right now and tell him he absolutely cannot fire Lulu. He also needs to keep me here and find me a job with an annual salary of several hundred thousand. Otherwise, I'll come and make trouble every day. If it comes to it, we'll fight to the death and no one will have an easy time."
Looking at Jin Ping's self-righteous demeanor, Cui Xiao suddenly laughed. The laughter was full of mockery and sorrow, which made Jin Ping feel uneasy.
She reacted as if she'd heard the funniest joke in the world. "Ms. Jin, you're really something. You think you're worthy of a job with an annual salary of hundreds of thousands?"
They're both daughters, but Sun Lu would give her the moon if she wanted it, but what about me? I'm not even willing to pay for her tuition.
Now that you're in trouble, you're thinking of her?
Jin Ping didn't care about any of that. She stuck out her neck and shouted defiantly, "How dare you talk like that? Without me as your mother, you wouldn't be where you are today. Cui Xiao, I won't make things difficult for you, but you have to give me a solution for this little thing."
As she spoke, Jin Ping took a step forward, staring intently into Cui Xiao's eyes, her tone laced with threat, "I don't care what you say to Zhou Mubin, I have to stay. If you don't go, I'll die in front of your company. I'll let your colleagues and your boss see how you treat your own mother."
As soon as she finished speaking, Jin Ping took a step back and crashed into a cold pillar.
Cui Xiao remained unmoved, his eyes almost coldly watching Jin Ping crash into the pillar.
The onlookers were terrified, their hearts pounding in their chests. A woman who was very close to Jinping instinctively reached out and grabbed her arm.
"Oh dear, lady, what's bothering you that you're thinking of committing suicide?"
The commotion attracted even more onlookers. Passersby who had initially been just watching from afar gathered around, and some even took out their phones to secretly take pictures.
"What's wrong? Why is she even threatening suicide?"
"It seems the daughter isn't supporting her mother? The old woman had no other choice but to bang her head against a pillar."
"These days, even the poorest people can afford to raise children, but when the children grow up, they can't afford to support an elderly mother."
"This girl is dressed so well, she doesn't seem to be living a bad life, so why is she complaining about her own mother?"
"All those years of studying have been for nothing. To put it bluntly, it's just being unfilial."
"They look so pitiful..."
The whispers were like the buzzing of mosquitoes, making Cui Xiao's ears ache.
At this moment, President Lin also rushed over upon hearing the commotion. Although Cui Xiao had become the vice president, President Lin recognized her abilities and would not do anything to kick her while she was down.
Mr. Lin's face was grave. He pulled Cui Xiao aside and said in a low voice, "Vice President Cui, this is the company. This commotion is having a very bad influence. If the client or Mr. Hou sees this, it won't be good for you or the company. You need to handle this quickly. If you really can't manage, take a leave of absence first. Don't let this stand still."
When Jin Ping saw that someone else had arrived, and that it was obviously a high-ranking leader, her eyes darted around and she started acting again.
She plopped down on the cement floor, stretched out her legs, slapped her thighs, and burst into loud, shrill sobs. "My life is so miserable! My daughter, whom I carried for ten months and raised with such care, can't stand to see me doing well. Now that she's successful, she wants to send this old woman back to the countryside. Oh, why is my life so miserable? I don't want to live anymore, I might as well just die."
Cui Xiao stood in the center of the crowd, feeling the strange gazes coming from all directions—some questioning, some angry, some annoyed. Those gazes felt like countless needles piercing her, and her chest felt like it was blocked by a heavy boulder, making it hard for her to breathe.
She looked at Jin Ping, who was sitting on the ground throwing a tantrum. Her gray hair was disheveled and stuck to her face, and there were still tear stains on the corners of her mouth, but Cui Xiao couldn't feel any sympathy for her at all.
She knew that Jin Ping was determined to make her compromise and would not give up until she achieved her goal.
Cui Xiao stared coldly at Jin Ping, her icy gaze fixed on her. "Didn't you want to die? Then don't go and bang your head against the pillar. The chances of you dying are slim, but if you end up with a mental disability, you'll be the one suffering."
As she spoke, Cui Xiao took out a self-defense dagger from her bag and threw it directly in front of Jin Ping.
Jin Ping was startled and forgot to cry. "What do you mean?"
Cui Xiao sneered, glancing at the woman sitting on the ground throwing a tantrum. "If you want to die, a dagger is the easiest way. Just lightly slit your carotid artery, and the chances of you surviving are extremely low. After you die, I'll find a good burial plot for you, and every year on the anniversary of your death, if I have time, I can go and sweep your grave."
Jin Ping was furious. She scrambled to her feet, her eyes blazing with rage, "Cui Xiao, are you even human? I'm your mother, are you cursing me to die?"
Cui Xiao has been through so much over the years; every client she's dealt with has been more difficult than Jin Ping.
Jin Ping thought she could control her, but she was wrong.
With a slight smile, Cui Xiao dialed Zhou Mubin's number in front of Jin Ping.
The moment the call connected, Cui Xiao spoke softly, "Zhou Mubin, fire Sun Lu."
