Chapter 357 I'll only say it once, take it away.
Yang Shanshan was indignant. Why should she be fired for such a trivial matter after working so diligently for so many years?
Besides, she didn't think it was her fault at all. It was clearly that idiot Yang Zhenzhen who caused the trouble, so why was she the one who was fired?
The more she thought about it, the more unwilling she became, so she waited outside Xie Nanzhi's office, demanding an explanation.
Yang Shanshan said, "President Xie brought Yang Zhenzhen with him. Yang Zhenzhen spilled important documents on milk tea. I just told her about the seriousness of the matter, and she started crying. President Xie wanted to fire me without even asking what happened. President Nan, I have worked diligently at Nanzheng Group. Even if you want to fire me, this should not be the reason."
Xie Nanzhi didn't believe her. "Are you telling the truth?"
Yang Shanshan felt flustered under Xie Nanzhi's cold gaze. She lowered her eyes and said, "President Nan, I'm telling the truth..."
Xie Nanzhi didn't speak immediately, but his deep eyes were fixed on her, as if trying to peel away her disguise layer by layer to see her true self.
"truth?"
Xie Nanzhi's voice was even colder than before, carrying an undeniable authority, "Secretary Yang, have you forgotten that there are surveillance cameras installed in the office?"
Yang Shanshan, who was standing to the side, turned pale instantly, her body trembled slightly, and her hands, hanging at her sides, unconsciously clenched the hem of her clothes.
Her previous confident tone vanished without a trace, and her voice began to tremble. "President Nan, I... I was just too anxious. Those documents are very important, and I was only thinking of the company..."
Although she didn't check the surveillance footage, based on Yang Shanshan's usual behavior at the company, she could guess the most likely explanation.
Xie Nanzhi interrupted her explanation, her tone full of sarcasm, "Are you leaving on your own, or should I have security escort you away?"
How could she forget that the offices of Nanzheng Group are under surveillance? If Xie Nanzhi goes to check the surveillance footage and sees her pushing Yang Zhenzhen, the outcome might be even worse.
Seeing her distraught appearance, Xie Nanzhi didn't say anything more and turned to go into her office.
After packing her documents and laptop, Xie Nanzhi went to Xie Yuanyang's office before leaving.
When she knocked and came in, the couple was having lunch together, and the scene was so heartwarming. "Does this mean I came at the wrong time?"
Xie Yuanyang blushed. "That's not true."
Xie Nanzhi, dressed in a Chanel suit and high heels, walked forward, her gaze sweeping over the lunchboxes on the table.
The home-style dishes, consisting of two meat dishes and one vegetable dish, were still steaming slightly. Xie Yuanyang was placing a piece of deboned fish into Yang Zhenzhen's bowl with a natural and affectionate gesture.
A hint of a smile flashed across Xie Nanzhi's eyes as she casually sat down opposite the two of them. "Your food smells so good. I should have come here for lunch if I had known."
Xie Nanzhi said half-jokingly, her gaze falling on Yang Zhenzhen, her tone much gentler than usual, "Sister-in-law, has my brother been bullying you lately?"
Yang Zhenzhen quickly put down her chopsticks, shook her head with a smile, and said, "No, no, how could Yuanyang bully me?"
As she spoke, she looked at Xie Yuanyang with eyes full of dependence, "That's right, I think I just caused trouble for Yuanyang."
Xie Yuanyang had by now calmed down, handed Yang Zhenzhen a tissue, and then looked up at Xie Nanzhi, saying, "I fired Yang Shanshan."
"Know."
Xie Yuanyang asked curiously, "You knew all along? You must disagree, right?"
Xie Nanzhi chuckled, "What are you thinking? You fired your secretary, why would I object? I just came to see if my sister-in-law had been wronged. Fortunately, nothing serious happened."
Xie Yuanyang nodded in agreement, then added as if remembering something, "Oh, right, I'll pick you up from your house this afternoon and take you to the airport."
Xie Nanzhi's gaze then turned to Yang Zhenzhen, "Never mind, it's easy for me to take a taxi. You should spend time with your sister-in-law. I won't be in Hong Kong for the next few days, so I've sent you some documents to your email. Take a look when you have time."
After saying that, Xie Nanzhi stood up with a smile on her face. "You guys enjoy your meal. I won't disturb you any longer. Sister-in-law, bring your child to my house to play sometime."
Yang Zhenzhen nodded, "Okay."
Seeing her gently close the door, Yang Zhenzhen whispered enviously, "Yuanyang, Nanzhi is really amazing. She can actually support such a big company."
Xie Yuanyang's voice, filled with affection, followed immediately, "Nan Zhi is very capable. She is a powerful figure in Hong Kong and even throughout the country."
Yang Zhenzhen said, "I wish I could be like Nanzhi, so I could help you and you wouldn't have to work so hard."
Xie Yuanyang chuckled, "Silly girl, Nanzhi has its good points, and you have yours too. You are you, you don't need to compare yourself to anyone else."
...
Xie Nanzhi packed some frequently used items, grabbed her suitcase, and hurriedly went to the airport.
A six-hour flight is neither long nor short.
Unable to get a business class ticket, Xie Nanzhi had to squeeze into economy class.
She hadn't slept well last night, so she planned to close her eyes and rest for a while. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep. As the plane passed through the clouds and came to the top of the clouds, Xie Nanzhi suddenly felt a hand on her thigh.
The hand, damp and sticky with sweat, was slowly rubbing up her jeans from the knee, the fingertips even deliberately rubbing against the fabric.
Xie Nanzhi suddenly opened her eyes, her gaze meeting the evasive look of the man sitting next to her.
He was around forty years old, his suit was wrinkled, and there were rice grains stuck to his collar. He was pretending to adjust his seat belt, but his hands didn't move away.
Xie Nanzhi's voice was low but icy, "I'll only say it once, take it away."
The man paused, but instead of withdrawing his hand, he pressed his advantage, moving closer to the inside of her thigh, a greasy smile playing on his lips. "Beautiful lady, it's crowded on a plane, so what if we accidentally bumped into each other?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Xie Nanzhi stopped arguing.
She gripped the man's wrist with her left hand, braced her right hand on the armrest of the seat for leverage, and precisely pressed her thumb against his wrist joint.
With a sharp "crack," the man sprang up from his seat with a scream, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. "My hand...you broke my hand!"
The surrounding passengers immediately turned their attention to them; some took out their phones to record, while others whispered among themselves.
The man, clutching his wrist, squatted in the aisle, his face contorted in pain, yet he didn't forget to raise his voice and whine, "Look everyone, this woman's gone mad! I just accidentally touched her, and she's deliberately hurting me. If my hand is ruined, you'll have to pay me medical expenses and lost wages, at least 100,000 yuan."
Xie Nanzhi slowly stood up, dusted off non-existent dust from her jeans, her movements as calm as if she were handling a work report.
She first took out her phone from her bag, turned on the recording function, and held it in front of the man. "You just said 'I accidentally touched you,' but when I woke up, your hand was already on my inner thigh and was moving upwards. Should I contact the flight attendant now to retrieve the surveillance footage next to my seat, or have the surrounding passengers testify?"
