Chapter 298 That scumbag is harassing you again?

“To deal with someone who only knows how to play dirty tricks, you have to cut off her hopes once and for all.” Xie Nanzhi raised her eyes, her tone carrying a hint of pride, “so that people won’t always think that my husband is someone that any Tom, Dick, or Harry can seduce.”

Wei Chi laughed and put his arm around her waist. "You're right. But next time something like this happens, you don't need to lift a finger. Just tell me, and I'll handle it."

Xie Nanzhi leaned against him, glanced at the HR who hadn't reacted yet, and couldn't help but smile. "So, should we continue the interview now? After all, we at Ingram Financial don't need employees who use their positions for personal gain."

People who can work in HR at large companies are all shrewd and perceptive, and the woman naturally understood the implication in Xie Nanzhi's words.

The HR person immediately stepped forward to flatter him, "President Nan, I really just happened to be going downstairs on my way, and that's why I went downstairs with that lady. You can't fire me for something like this."

Xie Nanzhi straightened up, her gaze indifferent. "Aren't you going to tell the truth?"

The HR person felt a jolt; this woman's aura was even stronger than Steven's, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her palms.

"I, everything I said is true."

He's stubborn as a mule and still refuses to tell the truth.

Xie Nanzhi stared straight at her with a thin layer of frost in her eyes. "I heard everything you said to Liu Mengyu. You also know that her coming to work was a pretense; she really wanted to take the opportunity to get close to Steven."

What? So she heard everything.

The HR representative turned pale, and Xie Nanzhi's tone suddenly turned serious, "I would never keep an employee like you."

Upon hearing this, Xie Nanzhi was determined to refuse to fire her, and the only way for the woman was to beg Wei Chi for help.

She pleaded, "Steven, you recognized my abilities before, and you even said you'd give me a raise. You can't fire me over something like this. Public matters are public matters, and private matters are private matters. You need to keep them separate."

Wei Chizheng remained expressionless. "This matter is not up to me. President Nan has the absolute authority to decide what to do with you."

The woman was indignant. "Why? Why does she have absolute power over me? What right does she have? I'm not satisfied. I'm going to complain to headquarters."

Wei Chizheng smiled faintly and remained silent, while Xie Nanzhi snorted lightly, "Why? Just because I'm a shareholder of Yingmai Financial, I have the right to fire a lowly employee, don't I?"

"What, you're a shareholder of Ingram Micro Financial?"

"Yes, I am indeed a shareholder of Ingram Financial. Aren't you going to complain to the headquarters? Why don't you go and verify it yourself?"

The woman was completely dumbfounded, and her last struggle was in vain.

The woman staggered backward, muttering to herself, "How is this possible? How could you possibly be a shareholder of Yingmai Group? How could this be?"

Wei Chizheng and his wife held hands and joked casually, "President Nan has a niche hobby. While other women like to buy bags and clothes, she likes to buy shares in various groups."

Xie Nanzhi raised an eyebrow, "Am I that abnormal?"

Wei Chi looked down at her with doting eyes, "Whether you're perverted or not, I like you. Come on, let's go to my office."

Wei Chizheng led Xie Nanzhi into the elevator, which took them directly to their office on the top floor.

The afternoon sun slanted into the office at four o'clock, and the golden light shone through the gaps in the blinds, casting dappled patterns of light on the dark carpet.

Xie Nanzhi pushed open the half-closed door and walked in. The hem of her light apricot-colored dress swept lightly across the floor with her steps. She circled the office, her gaze sweeping over the panoramic view of Hong Kong City hanging on the wall, then over the celadon pen holder she had given her on the corner of the desk, and finally stopping in front of the circular floor-to-ceiling window.

She walked over, her fingertips lightly touching the cool glass, and leaned down to look down at the port city below.

The bustling traffic shrank into flowing dots of light in her eyes, and the cross-sea bridge, like a silver ribbon, meandered across the sea. Sunlight shone on her hair, turning the ends a light gold.

Before she could turn around, she heard familiar footsteps behind her and was immediately enveloped by a pair of warm arms. Broad palms held her waist and abdomen firmly, calloused from handling documents, and the warmth of the palms could be felt even through her dress.

"Why did you suddenly decide to contact me?"

Wei Chizheng rested his chin on the top of her head, his voice filled with laughter, his warm breath brushing against her earlobe, carrying the scent of sandalwood from his body, making Xie Nanzhi's body involuntarily relax.

Xie Nanzhi gently placed her hand on his large hand at his waist, her fingertips slowly slipping between his fingers to interlock with his, palm to palm, she could clearly feel his pulse beating. "On the way."

She turned her head, her hair brushing against his cheek. "I just came from the golf course and thought I'd come and check it out. By the way, how did you know I was here? I didn't ask the front desk to let you know."

Wei Chi lowered his head, his nose brushing against her earlobe, his tone tinged with a helpless yet indulgent affection, "The receptionist called me on the internal line and said President Nan is here. I was anxious to see you, so I thought I'd go pick you up myself. I had just reached the elevator when I saw my wife wreaking havoc."

Speaking of this, Xie Nanzhi couldn't help but turn around, breaking free from his embrace but not letting go. Instead, she stood on tiptoe and gently poked his chest with her fingertips. "Wei Chizheng, you're really charming. Liu Mengyu even dared to come to the company for an interview with a forged resume for you, and deliberately wore a dress similar to mine. If you ask me, you should just wear a veil when you go out in the future, so you don't seduce decent women and cause me trouble."

Wei Chizheng looked down at her, his eyes instantly filled with a smile, and even his eyebrows softened. The hand that was originally on her waist moved gently to her chin, and his fingertips pinched her chin and shook it gently. "Jealous?"

He leaned closer, so close he could see the glint in her eyes. "The whole building can probably smell this jealousy."

Xie Nanzhi felt embarrassed by his words and reached out to slap his hand away, but he took it in his hand instead.

Wei Chizheng raised her hand to his lips, gently kissing her fingertips, his gaze falling on her reddened earlobes. "But to be honest, it's quite cute to see my wife jealous of me."

Xie Nanzhi leaned against him, listening to his steady heartbeat, and couldn't help but reach out and wrap her arms around his waist, her fingertips gently brushing against the seams of his suit jacket. "Who's jealous? I just don't want anyone to treat me like a fool."

Wei Chi chuckled softly, the vibrations in his chest traveling through their embrace to her heart. "Yes, yes, my Nanzhi is the most discerning in separating public and private matters."

He lowered his head and gently pecked the corner of her lips, a light and tender kiss. "What would you like to eat tonight? I'll cook for you myself to make up for it, Mr. Nan, who always keeps business and personal life separate."

Wei Chi teased her, but Xie Nanzhi wasn't angry. As they chatted, she said, "By the way, I ran into Pei Jingchuan at the golf course today."

Upon hearing the name "Pei Jingchuan," Wei Chizheng immediately became serious, like a frightened bird. "That scumbag is harassing you again?"
