Chapter 366 He's my boyfriend, I'm my fiancé
Cui Xiao frowned. Every time Jin Ping called, there was only one thing she wanted to say.
For Jinping, she was an ATM.
Cui Xiao asked coldly, "Goed gambling again?"
Jin Ping said angrily, "Why are you talking so much nonsense? Just give me the money. It's your duty to be filial to your parents. I raised you, so it's only right that you give me money. Transfer it to me now, I need it urgently."
Over the years, Cui Xiao has become numb.
My heart seems to have grown a copper and iron wall, and has become indestructible.
100,000 yuan is not much for Cui Xiao. If it can give her some peace and quiet, she is willing to spend the money. "I've transferred it to you."
When Jin Ping heard the notification sound on her phone, she picked it up and saw that she had indeed received 100,000 yuan.
Jin Ping chuckled to herself, thinking that this money-losing bastard wasn't entirely useless; at least he was quick to pay her each time.
Jin Ping added, "Cui Xiao, your sister has never suffered since she was little, so you should take better care of her. Cook dinner when you get home in the evening; it's healthier and saves money to eat at home. Consider this preparation for your future marriage. You can't expect to eat out every day after you have children."
Cui Xiao sneered.
She would say something like that just to get her to cook for Sun Lu.
Cui Xiao scoffed, "Sun Lu will get married eventually, so it wouldn't be a bad idea for her to practice her cooking skills before she gets married."
Upon hearing this, Jin Ping became displeased. "Can Lulu be compared to you? Lulu is going to marry into a wealthy family in the future. They have nannies, so they don't need Lulu to cook. You're different. With your personality, you're only fit to marry an ordinary man. Ordinary families require you to do everything yourself."
Cui Xiao couldn't listen anymore. "I have to go now, I'll hang up."
After hanging up the phone hastily, Cui Xiao closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and regulated her breathing.
It took Cui Xiao a while to recover.
Just then, another secretary from the secretariat came over and said, "Sister Cui, President Hou said there's a dinner party tonight and he wants you to go in his place."
Mr. Hou went on vacation to the Maldives with his wife and children. He doesn't trust anyone else, except for Cui Xiao.
Cui Xiao nodded, "Okay, I understand."
Cui Xiao glanced at the time; there was still time.
She drove to the nearest winery, where she was to meet Mr. Tang, who was obsessed with wine culture and reportedly had a collection of over a hundred bottles of wine at home.
To cater to their preferences, Cui Xiao planned to bring a bottle of wine with her.
After stopping the car, Cui Xiao got out and took off her sunglasses.
A beautiful winery stands on a lush green lawn, and behind it is a private horse farm, which seems to belong to the winery owner.
A professional sommelier led Cui Xiao inside and asked on the way, "Ms. Cui, what kind of red wine would you like to choose?"
To be honest, Cui Xiao didn't know much about red wine, but it was always priced clearly, "the most expensive."
The sommelier was taken aback, clearly not expecting Cui Xiao to say that.
Cui Xiao smiled without saying a word.
At Cui Xiao's request, the sommelier brought over a bottle of red wine. "Ms. Cui, what do you think of this wine?"
Cui Xiao glanced at the price and said, "Okay, this is it."
The sommelier was amazed by the speed of the service; he had never served such an easy guest before.
"Okay, I'll wrap it up for you. Please wait a moment."
"good."
While the sommelier went to fill the wine container, Cui Xiao stood up and strolled around. She noticed that the back door of the house led directly to the horse. She subconsciously pushed open the door, and what came into view was a lush green meadow.
The scent of grass wafted in through the crack in the door, and Cui Xiao instinctively gripped the door frame. As her fingertips touched the rough wood grain, her gaze was drawn to two figures not far away.
The reddish-brown manes fluttered in the wind, and the rider on one of the horses wore a light gray shirt with the cuffs casually rolled up to his forearms, revealing his sharply defined wrist bones.
Cui Xiao paused in her steps.
It was him.
Zhou Mubin.
I don't know what the person on the white horse next to me said with a smile, but I saw Zhou Mubin turn his head to respond. The sunlight fell on his slightly raised chin, and even the shadow on his profile was handsome.
Cui Xiao should have quietly retreated, but her feet seemed to be nailed to the spot.
It wasn't until Zhou Mubin noticed something and suddenly looked up at her that she could clearly see the change in his eyes from confusion to understanding in the instant their eyes met.
Zhou Mubin deftly dismounted, casually handing the reins to Zhou Weicheng beside him.
Zhou Weicheng raised an eyebrow and smiled at him, "Isn't this your little assistant? Oh, no, your former assistant, she switched jobs."
"Why bring up something you shouldn't talk about?" Zhou Mubin glared at Zhou Weicheng, annoyed. "Brother, doesn't your conscience hurt?"
Zhou Weicheng is Zhou Mubin's older brother, and the two have always had a good relationship.
Zhou Weicheng joked, "Didn't you say yourself that capitalists are all heartless?"
Zhou Mubin gave him an annoyed look, and Zhou Weicheng quickly said, "Fine, I won't say anything more, I'll leave, okay?"
After saying that, he turned his horse around and rode a little further away, tactfully leaving a patch of grass just for the two of them.
Then, Zhou Mubin walked towards Cui Xiao.
His steps weren't fast, but the sound of his shoes crunching over the grass was exceptionally clear, each step feeling like it was stepping on Cui Xiao's nerves.
Cui Xiao subconsciously shrank back, but her back pressed against the wooden door, making a slight creaking sound, thus trapping herself in this small space.
Zhou Mubin's voice was lower than usual, with a hint of the crispness of a recent breeze. His gaze fell on her slightly disheveled hair, his fingers twitched, but ultimately stopped at her side.
"What brings you here? Choosing wine?"
Cui Xiao restrained her emotions and looked away, but she could feel his gaze still fixed on her face, making her ears burn. "Mmm."
The awkward atmosphere made the air unusually quiet. Just then, Zhou Mubin suddenly leaned forward, and she looked up sharply, her nose almost touching the button of his shirt.
Then Zhou Mubin lowered his voice even further, almost whispering in her ear, "Which bottle of wine have you taken a fancy to?"
Then, a smile appeared in his eyes. "I'll take you."
Cui Xiao hurriedly looked up and met Zhou Mubin's ambiguous smile. She refused in her tone, "No need, Lawyer Zhou, you don't need to be so polite."
Zhou Mubin didn't move, just stood not too far from her. The wind blew his shirt against his body, outlining his slender yet upright figure. "Isn't it only right to give my fiancée a bottle of wine?"
Even though Cui Xiao was able to control her emotions, she couldn't withstand Zhou Mubin's crazy probing. "Lawyer Zhou, jokes don't go too far. Besides, I have a boyfriend."
Zhou Mubin squeezed his hand tightly in his pocket, but his expression didn't show much reaction. "A boyfriend is a boyfriend, and a fiancé is a fiancé. He's someone you're dating, but I'm the one you're going to marry."
Upon hearing this, Cui Xiao's voice rose several decibels, "Zhou Mubin, you're a madman."
