Chapter 392 "Sister, this painting is for you."

Jiang Tingzhou's expression was gentle just a second ago, but after hearing the woman's words, his expression immediately turned serious. He turned to Xu Wan and asked, "What did he say to you?"

Xu Wan recounted their encounter in the tea room that morning.

She recalled Jiang De'an and added with a smile, "People say that family members are more or less similar, but you and your uncle really don't look alike at all."

“He looks a lot like my grandmother,” Jiang Tingzhou explained.

"Your grandma must be a very kind and approachable person, right?" Xu Wan helped Jiang Tingzhou take the food out of the insulated lunchbox and said as she arranged it, "Your uncle always speaks with a smile, and he seems to have a very good temper."

Jiang Tingzhou didn't want to say anything unpleasant during the meal, but since Xu Wan said that, he could only say, "It's all just an appearance."

"Appearance?"

"He's not a simple person. Stay away from him in the future. If he tries to talk to you again, just give him a few casual words and don't tell him anything."

He hasn't openly done anything about Jiang De'an yet.

However, Jiang Tingzhou remained highly vigilant towards him, and after learning that he had secretly opened several companies behind the scenes, he became even more wary of him.

However, none of the companies under Jiang De'an's control were of any significant size and could compete with Tianwei.

The lunch break is very short.

The two sat down to eat, and Xu Wan placed a piece of sweet and sour pork rib into Jiang Tingzhou's bowl, smiling and saying, "Try this, my mom makes the best of this."

Jiang Tingzhou picked up a piece and ate it, then nodded after savoring it carefully, "Delicious."

Xu Wan also picked up a piece and carefully ate all the meat off before putting the bone in the empty plate next to her.

“I loved eating this when I was little, but my family was poor and couldn’t afford many ribs. Each time, there were only four or five ribs for this dish, and they weren’t the small ones, but the big ones. I would slurp them up until the bones turned white, and I couldn’t bear to throw them away.” Xu Wan picked up another piece and put it on her plate. “Back then, my biggest goal in life was to have the freedom to eat sweet and sour ribs.”

“Then I’ll have someone send some spare ribs over regularly, and I’ll try to figure out how to cook them, and I’ll make them for you in the future,” Jiang Tingzhou said very seriously.

"I think Mom makes the best food. We'll help her out by washing the pots and chopping vegetables, and let her cook."

In Xu Wan's opinion, no one can make sweet and sour pork ribs as well as her mother.

She was very grateful that she could still eat her mother's sweet and sour pork ribs in her lifetime.

Jiang Tingzhou wasn't angry at being criticized. "Okay, I'll listen to you. But I'll also learn. Even though I'm not a good cook, I still want to try making the dishes my wife likes."

Xu Wan looked at the man opposite her and suddenly remembered the first time he made breakfast for her.

"Husband," Xu Wan called out. When the man looked up at her, she said, "I don't want to divorce you. I want to be with you forever."

Jiang Tingzhou picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork chop and put it in her bowl. "We won't get a divorce, don't worry."

-

In the afternoon, Xu Wan and Gao Han went to the court to file a case. Afterwards, because of things at the law firm, she took her laptop and prepared to return to the law firm after the case was filed.

To avoid making Gao Han take a detour, Xu Wan got off at an intersection one stop earlier and walked towards the law firm.

As she walked toward the law firm entrance, she noticed a young man sitting by the roadside, holding a hard board, seemingly drawing.

As she approached the law firm entrance, the boy stood up, tore the drawing paper off the board, and ran to Xu Wan. "Sister, this is for you."

Xu Wan was stunned for a moment, then looked down at the drawing paper. It was a sketch, and the person drawn was actually herself.

She hesitated to accept the money, and instead asked, "Do I need to pay?"

"No need. I'm a senior at Beicheng Academy of Fine Arts. I'm looking for inspiration for my graduation project. I drew this when you just walked over. It's for you."

The boy handed over the painting with both hands.

"Thanks."

Xu Wan only looked up at the boy's face seriously when she took the painting.

The boy was wearing a beige sweatshirt, had very fair skin, and light-colored eyes.

When she looked over, he smiled brightly and pointed to the painting, saying, "Sister, my name is Lin Yu, and my WeChat ID is in the bottom right corner."
