“Say it here.”
Jiang Tingzhou was blocked behind by Gong Yanli, but his eyes were always fixed on the doorway.
An Yunya looked at Jiang Tingzhou and said, "What's going on? Aren't there all your people and Gong Yanli's people outside? With so many people, are you afraid I'll eat your wife up?"
"Let's go out together."
Xu Wan didn't know what An Yunya was going to say.
But she knew that if she said what she wanted to say in the ward, it would definitely anger Jiang Tingzhou again.
If a fight were to break out in the hospital room, it would do them no good.
"Wanwan."
"It's alright." Xu Wan turned to the man who was walking over and smiled. "Miss An is right. There are so many people outside, she won't do anything to me. But you, hurry up and put the needle back in, get the injection properly, and let's go home together once the fever goes down."
Jiang Tingzhou's dark eyes swept over An Yunya with a warning look, before finally landing on Xu Wan. "Don't go far. Call me if you have any problems, and I'll come out."
An Yunya turned around and left the ward first.
She has known Jiang Tingzhou for nearly thirty years. From the time she can remember, men in her memory are not good at expressing their emotions and will not show excessive concern or closeness to anyone.
Back then, they went to and from school together and attended tutoring classes together.
Once, she didn't bring an umbrella, and Jiang Tingzhou waited for her; the two of them shared an umbrella.
Once during summer camp, when it was raining, she asked him for her school uniform jacket, and he gave it to her.
Even though they were all trivial matters, An Yunya felt that she was special to Jiang Tingzhou.
She has always firmly believed that Jiang Tingzhou had genuine feelings for her during their student days.
Just now, the tone and expression of the man when he gave Xu Wan those few words finally shattered all of An Yunya's previous delusions.
So this is how Jiang Tingzhou looks, speaks, and acts when he loves someone, cares about someone, or worries about someone.
After An Yunya walked into the corridor, Xu Wan quickly followed her out.
The two did not stop at the corner of the corridor.
“Miss An, let’s talk here.” Xu Wan glanced at the corridor on the other side. “You’re not going to tell me any secrets, so there’s no need to go any further.”
There was no one around where the two people were standing, except for two bodyguards standing at the end of the corridor.
It would probably only take two or three seconds to get to their location.
Xu Wan remained calm, knowing that An Yunya wouldn't be foolish enough to actually stab her here with a knife.
An Yunya brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Xu Wan, are you feeling smug?"
"What am I so proud of?" Xu Wan asked, puzzled. "If you think I would be proud of you not doing well, then let me explain: I haven't thought that for a single second."
“There are only the two of us here, so stop pretending. Do you know what you look like right now? Back when you lived in our house, you once sneaked into my bedroom, wearing dirty clothes, standing on the floor. I casually gave you a rag doll. What were you thinking when you were holding it? Were you fantasizing that you were the owner of this room?”
An Yunya's voice was full of mockery and contempt.
Xu Wan remained composed and respectful, saying, "Miss An, I was only three or four years old when I went to your house. It's impossible for me to have so many filthy thoughts. If that's all you wanted to say, then there's no need to say anything more."
“Xu Wan, I’m just telling you that you’re no different now than you were back then. You’re living in a world that doesn’t belong to you, clinging to things that don’t belong to you, thinking you’re part of the upper class. Well, let me tell you, dreams come true.” An Yunya looked at Xu Wan’s ordinary attire and said with a firm tone, “I will do the same thing I did back then, drive you out of the place that doesn’t belong to you. Soon, I will make you lose everything you have now.”
After listening to what An Yunya said, Xu Wanping said, "Miss An, I suggest you see a psychiatrist."
After she finished speaking, she turned around and went back to the ward.
As soon as he entered the ward, Jiang Tingzhou quickly walked over, took her hand, and checked her over, asking, "Are you alright?"
Xu Wan spun around and said with a smile, "It's okay, I'm back safe and sound."
Jiang Tingzhou pressed on, "What did she say to you?"
