Ji Tong never expected that he would get involved in something he was just watching.
Miao Miao was taken aback for a moment. She looked at Ji Tong and smiled, "Don't joke around. That girl obviously doesn't know you."
Ji Tong: "I..."
Gong Yanli: "You were the one who cheated on me and then got married. Why do you think I would wait for you for so long?"
"But you've been waiting, haven't you? You're not married, you don't have a girlfriend, and you're all alone. Doesn't that show you haven't let go of me?" Miao Miao looked at Ji Tong and asked her with a smile, "Little girl, do you know her?"
"that……"
As Ji Tong was struggling with what to say, Gong Yanli bent down slightly and pressed his lips very close to her earlobe. "Tongtong, I know it was wrong of me to hide this relationship from you before, but you also saw that I was dumped, which isn't very honorable."
His tone was different from every time before, carrying a clear sense of humility.
Ji Tong felt as if something had struck his heart.
To be honest, from her moral standpoint, she despises all cheaters.
Regardless of gender.
During their back-and-forth exchange, Ji Tong had roughly figured out what was going on.
The scales in her heart unconsciously tipped towards Miyahiko.
Seeing Gong Yanli's attitude towards Ji Tong, Miao Miao's eyes showed obvious displeasure, and her attitude changed: "If you don't know him, you can just say so. It's not good to act with a stranger."
It is clear that, to some extent, Miao Miao considers Gong Yanli as her own possession.
She cheated on her husband and got married, so why does she still think it's her right for others to wait for her?
“Of course we know each other!” Ji Tong grabbed Gong Yanli’s arm, her neck stiff, and said matter-of-factly, “We’ve only been dating for a week, is there a problem with not having any overly intimate behavior yet?”
Miao Miao was stunned for a moment.
She had seen it clearly; Ji Tong looked embarrassed when Gong Yanli called her over, so she was certain the two weren't very familiar with each other.
At this moment, what Ji Tong said sounded somewhat far-fetched.
When Miao Miao was preparing for a divorce, she asked a friend to help her find out that Gong Yanli had a fiancée abroad, and the two seemed to be unfamiliar with each other.
Just a few days after her divorce, Gong Yanli broke off his engagement with his fiancée.
She was convinced that Gong Yanli was waiting for her, and she reflected on her past mistakes, intending to return to China and start over with him.
The man's sudden arrival of his girlfriend disrupted all her plans.
“Gong Yanli, you broke off the engagement two days after my divorce. Do you dare say you haven’t been paying attention to my affairs or thought about starting over with me?” Miao Miao finished speaking and then looked at Ji Tong. “What’s the point of you coming here if a man like that has another woman in his heart?”
Ji Tong dislikes Gong Yanli.
But she was even angrier at Miao Miao's confusing remarks.
"Didn't he say he'd already let you go? How do you know he still has feelings for you? Is he having some kind of delusions? Did he come to Shenghe to see a psychiatrist?" Ji Tong looked up at Gong Yanli. "Honey, does Shenghe have a psychiatrist? Can we get this lady an appointment?"
Miyazaki couldn't help but chuckle and said, "Yes."
Miao Miao was unwilling to give up and asked again, "Gong Yanli, why haven't you had a girlfriend all these years?"
“Ms. Miao, our breakup back then really hurt me a lot, and made me reluctant to invest in another relationship. But now I have met someone I am willing to take the risk for again.”
Gong Yanli spoke clearly, each word sincere without being overly sentimental.
Ji Tong played along, saying, "But I have to thank Ms. Miao for letting me know that my boyfriend is a deep and devoted person. We're headed for marriage, and we definitely won't get a divorce. Don't wait for him!"
