"You twisted your ankle?"
Without even thinking, Lin Shu squatted down and reached out to check her feet.
The moment the man's hand touched her ankle, Ji Tong reflexively pulled her leg back and took two steps back. "I just twisted my ankle, I'm not injured."
Ji Tong was already somewhat unhappy at this point.

Ji Tong continued, "Yes, but after so long, I've changed too. I don't like the type I had in school anymore, so..."

Meng Xiang returned, interrupting their conversation.
Ji Tong immediately stopped talking, looked around to make sure she didn't see Gong Yanli, and put the car keys in Meng Xiang's hand. "You and Lin Shu wait for me in the car for a while. I just saw an acquaintance. I'll tell him and then I'll come find you."
